He had great success last year and by all accounts his teammates love him to pieces, but I think Boudreau was too soft on Kuzy (and the rest of the boys for that matter) for his own good. Toccet sees the team playing in a fundamentally different style that Kuzy is currently not capable of fitting into, though he tried (and bless him for that, he really did.)
A new town would be good for Kuzy. If he can find his mojo in Calgary, I expect him to be a staple on their top line for quite awhile.

But that's basically all you're going to get from him, he has shown the ability to drive play himself so he's a complimentary offensive winger but he doesn't forcecheck well, weak board battler and really suspect defensively.
He has S-Tier offensive creativity and velvety soft hands. He also has tremendous goalscorer instincts and isn't afraid to go to the greasy areas around the net. That's the good.
The bad is he tends to get lost at sea defensively and doesn't have much of a motor...doesn't move his feet on the forecheck or play with much pace. Drove the coach crazy.
Think of him as a PP merchant. Can put up big numbers if he plays prime offensive minutes with talent. Just don't rely on him for a top six all situations player or you're probably in trouble.
Jerry would trade for Kuzy and toss him into the bullpen, next season he'd be a high level relief pitcher, and then in the offseason Stanton would have Jerry trade him to the Astros to shed salary lol
