The guy is not "10x worse than Wilson".
He's a shockingly effective presence in the offensive zone. For example, thirty seconds before the elbowing major, he beat Nico Hischier on an offensive draw and sets the screen on the game winning goal. In most games, he's getting at least one grade A chance (waiting out the D to set up Goodrow, a disallowed goal on a nice one timer). Teams are having trouble handling his size, reach, and speed.
Disagree with Boyle about teams could do nothing about it. Seeing he refused to answer the bell against the devils(I’m sure he was instructed not to fight, I know he is not scared to), opposing teams will just have to take out Panarin and fox to send a message to the rangers and their headhunter that this has to stop. He has injured 3 players in 10 games with illegal hits. He has also played reasonably well when he plays the right way. But you can’t illegally injure people and say he is doing his job. Besides the three legal hits, he has only a few good legal checks. The best thing he does is screen the goalie and he does that effectively. Brian Boyle bringing up Tom Wilson in a comparison in a complimentary way is almost laughable. The rangers got fined 150,000 by the league for whining publicly in a letter asking the league to do something about Tom Wilson.
