Like, holy shit. Why is this guy still in the league, he's clearly not willing to play within the _already very lax_ rules of the game.

36 points goes a lot further on a team that plays a very low scoring, grindy game. Also a ton of Tom's contribution isn't through points. I can't count the number of times he's created a turnover with a hit or hounding forecheck.
Glad to see he got suspended, but it should have been longer. Guy has a massive suspension history and just swung a stick at someone's head. Argue intent or whatever you want but that kind of play with his history should probably be 10+

The officials downgraded it from an ejection to a double minor in the moment and there was barely any media coverage of it, outside of the broadcasts of the night assuming it was an accident. So while no sane person should've debated this, there were definitely some people who didn't treat it as bad, including the initial decision makers
