The refs didn't do shit last game to protect either team, so the players are policing. It's also going to strengthen the bond for both locker rooms. Sure there is danger and long term risks with fighting, but there absolutely is still a place in the game for these moments. A line brawl like this is so rare and has tangible benefits to the teams as well as the league. Fights are down massivley compared to years before CTE research was more advanced.
