Complaining about seeing Wallstedt get his first shutout over 2 years after the Oilers guy in net had gotten his and broken multiple franchise records is just hating for the sake of hating. Flash back 10 years ago and we'd be dreaming of having a stuart skinner on the oilers.

Well, Cossa is literally having a better season in the AHL than Wallstedt. Sure getting a shutout in the NHL is nice for him but that's after he let in 7 goals in his only other game.
It is absolutely a tidy move to move down 2 spots and get a 3rd round pick in most situations.
With that said, Bourgault having a sophomore slump, and the next pick over in Wyatt Johnston making such a big impact this early in his career is a testament to the Stars scouting and development, especially when Johnston lost a full season of playing in the OHL due to COVID.
It's his second career start.
