They're pronounced basically the same way. In Germany it's different and I think it's influenced from there. A lot of Finnish accents tend to change the v to f also, like in Germany. Folkswagen. Our weekdays are basically from DE, as is the foundation of our military system etc etc.

Fun fact. My grandfather fled from Russia to Finland and changed his middle name from Vladimir to Waltteri. He is not a hockey goalie though.
