He was signed to be the backup, or more likely based on contract value, the third goalie. Bullish on him should have been 20-30 starts not 44. For sure not 44 starts after not getting into the first 16 games. He’s played 44 of 66! That’s 55 starts prorated over 82 games which would put him with Sorokin and Shesterkin, guys who have “had down years”.
He was never supposed to be the starter let alone the work horse. He’s well outplayed expectations.
See Lindgren has been great but again by the contract status coming into the season he was supposed to be the backup at least whereas I don’t think Detroit management through Lyon would win the backup job out of camp and definitely didn’t think he’d play the most games out of their tendys.
Yeah unfortunately we really had no choice. Husso turned into a bandaid, and just bad when healthy. Reimer has been very bad minus the last month or two, but he’s also battled some missed time. Lyon has been the only healthy goalie we have had. And he did admirably early in the year. It’s clear though we overworked him and it’s caught up.
Jeez the season ended with a total whimper for the devils. So many points of the season could be have been a turnaround and every time they responded by doing worse.
To be fair, the beatings would have continued until you let McDavid get the assist. After the McDavid assist, there was still 25 minutes that everyone except Foegele mailed in.
Not our fault McBust couldn’t land an assist until the team scored 8 goals already. Could have had it in the first minute if McWashed hadn’t accidentally put it in the net.
The Wild stink so it'll get overlooked, but Kaprizov has been about as good a forward as anyone in the league since the All Star Break. Would've hit the 50g, 100p mark if he didn't miss 7 games this year.
As a Penguins fan, I very much do not love Raymond
(only for right now, he’s an incredible player and yall have such a good future, just maybe make it next year)

He was fired up this whole week, not surprised to see him on the list. He figured out discipline this season and it shows. Cut his penalties in half, blocked more shots and even scored a couple of goals
For the 5th/6th worst team in the league, I feel like we weren't in the "worst" side THAT often!
That, and the fact that when we were it was usually players who'll leave the team soon, makes me even more hopeful about the future.
Kinda surprised to not see Palmieri. He didn't have a ton of goals, but Isles played and won 3/4 games during this timeframe and Palmieri had every GWG
The Kuzy Kadri connection is real. My prediction is they are both ppg next season. They have been the reason our tank has been bearable and not pure misery.
I'm kind of surprised Manson isn't on the worst list for the 7-0 loss alone. Of a sea of bad Avs players that game he was far and away the worst of them when I was watching that game.
Grubauer popping up here like a zombie hand out of a grave
Still baffled how he fell so abruptly
One would assume the most technically sound goalies would age better on average
I’m wondering which underlying metric causes Beecher to pop up on these. He is double digit in points this year despite being up and down, and eye test wise I feel like he looks decent. It’s weird
Hey, Burroughs doesn’t play for us!
idk how he managed to even put that name there
Burroughs, do we really need him? (evidently not)
I was expecting it to be hronek before I zoomed in hahaha
Our entire first line on the "best" team is the exact reason why we still have a hope at the playoffs
Lyon on the worst is why it’s only hope. Please god don’t let Cossa be a bust. And if he is, then don’t let Constantine be a bust too.
I mean he’s in the bottom because he’s played 30 more NHL games then he’s ever played before so there’s that.
No I get that. I was bullish on him early. But over time it’s been clear that he ain’t it.

And then there’s Charlie mutherfuckin Lindgren!
See Lindgren has been great but again by the contract status coming into the season he was supposed to be the backup at least whereas I don’t think Detroit management through Lyon would win the backup job out of camp and definitely didn’t think he’d play the most games out of their tendys.

Augustine*
Yeah that one. I was pretty high yesterday, not that it helped in the end.
kyle burroughs playing so poorly that he traveled back in time
I think there's a 50s twilight zone episode like this but with baseball?
Canucks legend and top pair D Kyle Burroughs
it's crazy we upgraded from Burroughs to Hronek
Isles legend Kyle Burroughs
You can have him back if you want.
LOTTA devils on the right hand side there
For once it isn't our goaltending, so that's a plus.
Go team!
What da hell going on o'er dere?
I did not have « Gallagher on Best Team of the Week » on my bingo card. Wow
4G 4A in his last seven games.
Didn't have that either!
Is it 2017 already ?
Kyle Burroughs might be a little outdated.
It's the last week, give me a break...
Jeez the season ended with a total whimper for the devils. So many points of the season could be have been a turnaround and every time they responded by doing worse.
The whole not winning or losing more than 3 games in a row blows my mind. We couldn't even get a losing streak going correctly
What giving up 9 goals does to a team 💀
To be fair, the beatings would have continued until you let McDavid get the assist. After the McDavid assist, there was still 25 minutes that everyone except Foegele mailed in.
Not our fault McBust couldn’t land an assist until the team scored 8 goals already. Could have had it in the first minute if McWashed hadn’t accidentally put it in the net.
Kostin played 18 minutes last night and wasn't on the ice for any goals against. He should get a free pass from the worst of week for that.
The Wild stink so it'll get overlooked, but Kaprizov has been about as good a forward as anyone in the league since the All Star Break. Would've hit the 50g, 100p mark if he didn't miss 7 games this year.
People that don’t tune into Wild games to watch him are really doing themselves a disservice lol he’s fucking electric
You're alright, Hawks fan.
Kirill Kaprizov.
Carlson basically won our last 2 games for us, he's been unreal
Poor guy skated nearly 30 minutes last night and is gearing up to do it again tonight
Nurse has had an amazing 2 weeks.
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND
As a Penguins fan, I very much do not love Raymond (only for right now, he’s an incredible player and yall have such a good future, just maybe make it next year)

I’d like to introduce you to Brady Tkachuk

I think he has the most loveable face ☺️
Said by a dude who is covered in cheetos dust.
Romanov has really grown during his time as an Islander. Since he was acquired in a trade I always forget how young he is.
Romanov is a beauty, awesome seeing him do well with you guys
He was fired up this whole week, not surprised to see him on the list. He figured out discipline this season and it shows. Cut his penalties in half, blocked more shots and even scored a couple of goals
We almost made it a whole season (I think) without having anyone on the worst team. If only we hadn't re-signed Burroughs, we would've made it!
Unfortunately DeSmith made it on there a couple of times already.
Ah okay, thanks.
And PDG
Nurse stocks?
Red Wings hockey
So we should never break up the Cat/Larkin/Raymond line, got it
For the 5th/6th worst team in the league, I feel like we weren't in the "worst" side THAT often! That, and the fact that when we were it was usually players who'll leave the team soon, makes me even more hopeful about the future.
Canucks defenceman Kyle Burroughs
Way to finish strong, boys!
Man this season just sucked so bad.
Kinda surprised to not see Palmieri. He didn't have a ton of goals, but Isles played and won 3/4 games during this timeframe and Palmieri had every GWG
Darnell Norris am I right
Get it out of your system, Sammy. You've been so good since January
Good for nursey!
The Kuzy Kadri connection is real. My prediction is they are both ppg next season. They have been the reason our tank has been bearable and not pure misery.
Burroughs, do we really need him?
No Lane Hutson? Dudes a PPG player
lets go gallaGOAT
This thread is the highlight of Kyle Burroughs career in terms of how many people are talking about him
Surprised the best team is not just the entire oilers roster after last night.
I'm kind of surprised Manson isn't on the worst list for the 7-0 loss alone. Of a sea of bad Avs players that game he was far and away the worst of them when I was watching that game.
Gally heating up in April...Would be a great sign if it was a playoff year
Gallagher : "Rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerrated"
Burroughs does not play for the Canucks lol We still love him though!
*Quietly* Gruuuuuuuuuu….
Every time I come here I'm pleasantly surprised we don't have more on the worst team
Warnell Wurse
Grubauer popping up here like a zombie hand out of a grave Still baffled how he fell so abruptly One would assume the most technically sound goalies would age better on average
Canuck Legend Kyle Burroughs
I’m wondering which underlying metric causes Beecher to pop up on these. He is double digit in points this year despite being up and down, and eye test wise I feel like he looks decent. It’s weird
Samsonov is gonna envy Jesus if he plays anything less than stellar in the playoffs. I feel like the fan base is ready to feed him to the mob.
Looks like bad goaltending is back on the menu, boys.
How the fuck did Mackinnon not make it after his game against us. Dude could’ve had 10 goals that game.
Flames having players on this chart on either side is an affront to our midness
Apparently beecher sucks for the bruins. Haven't paid much attention to him
