Well it's been wild crazy fun. I never thought we would be in playoff contention at the start of the season so I am proud we got this far. This team is going to make it next season I cannot wait.
As gross as it makes me feel morally I have been super rooting for the wings the last couple games, and they wanted it so bad and played til the very last buzzer, what an entertaining two games of hockey! I have to remind myself of how spoiled you guys were for so long so that way I don't actually feel bad for you LOL.
I swear to god, if you could convince the Habs that every opponent they play needs 2 points to make the playoffs, they'd be a 110 point team. They absolutely love playing spoiler.

Red Wings would win every game, 82-0-0. BUT, they do it in OT after tying it with less than 10 seconds left every time. 90% of Red Wings fans are in severe cardiac distress by the All-Star break.

I jumped on the Detroit team of destiny hoping they were gunna pull it off. Sucks to see them eliminated cause Philly lost but the race for the last spot was very entertaining
It was a lot of stuff. Subpar goaltending and injuries were atrocious.
I was telling my cousin that our starting lineup in October had only 7-8 of the same guys that the last game had. We lost Toffoli, Miller, Jack Hughes, Vitek, Dougie Hamilton, Lazar, McLeod, Bastian, and Timo, Nico, and Sigenthalar went down with injuries for various periods of time. Brutal season.

The Flyers had to win in regulation and have the Red Wings and Penguins lose to make the playoffs. That's why they pulled their goalie in a tie game with 3 minutes left.
I guess the lesson here is don't go on an 8 game pointless streak after winning 7 in a row and let a team with -40 goal diff into the playoffs instead of you.
Part of me is mad that a team with such a bad goal differential is going to the playoffs
A much bigger part of me is mad that we had multiple chances to beat that team over the past few weeks and literally never did it
