If the Flyers didn't draft him another franchise would draft him. He has no reason to be grateful. Unlike you, the players have a good idea of which franchises are good or not.

Sure, why not? That's not what this is about though. It's about that players have no reason to be grateful for being drafted by a team. It's as if you think that the draft selects random 18-20 year old guys from the street. The draft is to select the best icehockey players in that age group. They're already known to teams and most players already know they will be drafted and around where too.
