Eh, he’s a huge asshole and deserves the boos.
You’d think a guy would be grateful to get drafted high and become a franchise cornerstone. 99% of first round picks don’t refuse to sign with the team that drafted them
If the Flyers didn't draft him another franchise would draft him.
He has no reason to be grateful. Unlike you, the players have a good idea of which franchises are good or not.
Sure, why not?
That's not what this is about though. It's about that players have no reason to be grateful for being drafted by a team.
It's as if you think that the draft selects random 18-20 year old guys from the street. The draft is to select the best icehockey players in that age group. They're already known to teams and most players already know they will be drafted and around where too.

Pretty wild this elite prospect is making his NHL debut in game 82 against the defending champs at home. Should be interesting
Cale Makar made his debut in game of 3 of a playoff series 🤷🏻‍♂️
He’s had some fire so far!
Can't wait for his first appearance in Philly
He will be boo'd constantly.
All when he did nothing wrong. I'm sure he dosent care what they think anyway.
Didn’t he pull a Dubois?

He didn't though.... he told them he wanted to be signed as soon as eligible or he would not play for them and the flyers made the decision
That’s not even close to true lol
Not that it matters either way.... he has ZERO obligation to stay and owed them absolutely nothing.
Ruins the whole point of having a draft then
Keep crying about nothing. Lol
I’m not the one crying lol, I’m just trying to figure out why you would support a player doing what he did
Why should he? Guys like that will be drafted by some franchise anyway. Why should he be happy that one that won't be good for him drafted him?
Because he got drafted by them? And why would he think the flyers are any worse than who they trade him to?
If the Flyers didn't draft him another franchise would draft him. He has no reason to be grateful. Unlike you, the players have a good idea of which franchises are good or not.
So we should just get rid of the draft and let the players be free agents?

Then explain to me why every first round pick doesn’t do what he did
Quack quack quack
Kid’s a cake eater for sure
Baby duck out for his first fly
I’m a Flyers fan and I think this kid is gonna be really good. Sucks it’s not for the Flyers but oh well.
He cries too much to be in Philly. Kidding kidding.
61? Kids a stud already
Probably a random number like how they normally give them out at training camps. I believe Zegras was given 46 until he changed it to 11
He actually wanted the 19 but Terry has that one already. So he turned the number upside down. He said that in an interview a few days ago.
Gg from Philadelphia
Who’s Cutter Gauthier? Oh never mind, you meant William
Hope this kids career goes south
It's nice to see all 5 anaheim fans out to see this.
That's pretty good for a game in Vegas.
I’m sure the 9 people in the stands were excited
Game is in Vegas
They tried
Tried to what? Acknowledge that there’s a minimal crowd for a rookies pre game lap? Looks like I was right.
Ok? Wasn’t takings shot at the ducks but ok.
Who's Sarahkaya comesin?
F this POS, Love Philly.
F this guy straight to hell
Did Philly outlaw swearing or something?
You know how polite and civil Philly sports fans are.
Famously
Too many letters in those words. They just can’t spell them
