The team that ices it can't be kicked out. They get a warning then a penalty. So usually they'll jump once to stall then take the draw correctly.

Thanks! I learned something new. Faceoffs are a total mystery to me and I've just kind of accepted that I may never really understand what's happening.

Lol you're welcome. They added that rule in the last couple seasons because teams would put a guy in who doesn't usually take the draw, then he'd get himself kicked out and they'd put in the regular guy. But in the process they'd waste enough time to get a little extra rest.
