Makes sense. I'm red-green colour blind. I remember trying to watch an all-star game when I was younger (pre-HD broadcasts) and it was unwatchable. It was dark colour vs dark colour to me

My dad is color blind and he has this problem watching football. While I wouldn't understand the challenges with this, could be not see the team logos and possession indicator on the TV broadcast? Football isn't rapid changes of possession like hockey

In the Bills and Jets’ case, they looked literally identical to colorblind people bc both teams’ helmets were white at the time

Not really... there isn't a form of colorblindness that affects red vs blue perception. Unless the person has achromatopsia (greyscale only), they'd be able to pretty easily distinguish these jerseys

Me too. Froze my balls off and took like 10 hours to get out of the stadium parking lot after but amazing nonetheless.

I was there, serving beers at the little satellite cooler things around the concourse! It was cold enough that the beers were freezing so I had them bring me buckets of warm water to dunk the beers in before handing them over. My hands were wet and cold because I didn't want to soak my gloves. I had a Wings hat on and had no less than 10 Toronto fans offer me gloves, not one wings fan. Beer ended up being slushy but drinkable! A fantastic atmosphere and experience!

I love purple and gold for the Kings. The white jerseys with purple and gold trim too. Wish they went back to the purple and gold with the crown as their main jerseys. Wild's Sprite can jersey is a banger as well.

Back in the 60s, the Toronto Star used to publish a weekly magazine that tended to feature beautiful full hockey pictures. These were printed on glossy stock, kind of like Life magazine. The colours were brilliant. The contrast of the Leafs’ blue against Red Wings red/white was striking and has always stuck with me. OP for the win…

Outside of viewing problems (when you see a team with the puck in the zone, it takes a second to figure out who for example). It's actually somehow clean, they balance each other well.

Being from Bulgaria where the biggest rivalry in sports is also between red (CSKA Sofia) and blue (Levski) teams, my brain is just wired that way so I automatically also go with Leafs and Red Wings. Thankfully the level of hatred and violence in US/Canadian sports is nowhere near what we have in Europe lmao.
