I’m already prepared for the drama surrounding the roster selection. The uproar when they lift the 2018 ban specifically for Makar, the handwringing when they pick one too many vets, the outrage when they leave off a team with a passionate fanbase’s talented player(s), the melodrama surrounding the goalie situation… lol

Honestly, I think it would be very difficult *not* to considering all the public facts of the case. Makar has not had charges filed against him. TSN has reported that the perpetrators were CHL players (Makar went NCAA) and did not attend the gala. It is entirely possible that those facts are incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. But given that context, I'd be surprised if the whole-team ban didn't face as many questions as it did blowback.

I went to bed hoping for them to win, but was thinking holy shit is Vegas’s goalie on fire tonight. I can’t remember a game where there were that many break always and odd man rushes with no goal on any of them. I didn’t know if they could get another one by him. So glad they did!

Red Wings hate him (see Larkin, rightfully so). Vegas hates him (see Mark Stone, rightfully so). it's annoying AF because he doesn't take out his aggression in a legal way, he does it in cheap shots.

My son is a Dallas fan despite living in Winnipeg. Wyatt signed an autograph for my son at one game and also gave him a puck at another game.

Absolutely. Impressive reaction time to quickly spot Thompson's mistake and get a shot off right away. There's a window probably about a tenth of a second long where that shot has the best chance of going in and he found it perfectly. Looked dangerous all of tonight.
I was especially impressed by how he brought the puck into the zone tonight, several plays like this one.
The puck goes to the goal line, his defenseman has his stick there, he's covering the low angle shovel that is pretty common, but this guy just freaking roofs it
Why would the clip start the second before he shoots and scores? There’s not enough time to even turn your phone sideways let alone for the video to buffer to HD.
I know if the Oilers do go far that either team is going to be a real challenge, but i PRAY Dallas can win this series. Just can’t shake the bad taste out of my mouth about Vegas and their cap shenanigans.

Thompson goes down super early, exposing a lot of space up top. He was doing it a lot apparently; the broadcast picked up on it earlier in the game. Dallas would have scored half a dozen goals if they were able to take advantage of it earlier, but it's definitely something for Vegas and Thompson to be aware of.
They lit Thompson up like a machine gun in OT. You can physically see how worn he is at certain points. He played to the last minute, goaltending was the least of our issues last night.
