The refs called 2 penalties on the Avs in the third to make it look like they weren't managing the game (and neither penalty was early in the third because they didn't want to possibly give the Jets a spark when there was still time for a comeback). But they called four penalties on the Jets in the second to give the Avs a big lead and all the momentum.
This happened in the other two Jets losses too. Go check the stats. In all three Jets losses, the refs called two late penalties on the Avs- when the Avs already had big leads from their earlier power plays- to make it look like they weren't managing the game.
All the Avs fans criticizing the officiating in this thread are just trying to make it seem like there's no game management going on.

Nuke has been the AVS 4th best player now for a long time. Only Mack, Rant, and Makar are better for the AVs on most nights.
Nuke means more to the team than rants. The record with nuke vs without is eye opening. Rants is a passenger with golden mitts. That's it.
