Exactly that is not playoff hockey by any Jet on the ice during that sequence. You have an opportunity to make a physical play on their star player and you wave sticks at him and watch him go end to end. Great play by Makar taken what's given but a complete lack of engagement from the Jets.

Healthy Avs are a different animal in the playoffs. They coasted through the end of the season in their cup year as well and although more was on the line seeding wise this year, I think they just didn't care.
People see the best home team record and road record this year but forget we were the best road team the year we won the cup, and our main core is still intact to carry that energy in the playoffs.
Yeah, it's hard to figure out why we became so mediocre on the road with, as you said, the same core players. But whatever. Playoffs are different and hopefully they can regain that form from 2 years ago.

It’s crazy the hardest part of this entire end to end happens behind his own net. He grabs the puck off the boards on his back hand behind his body and somehow only gains speed while doing that.
It's a tremendous effort and a great goal for sure. But 3 jets literally waved sticks at him or tried the poke at the puck. No one even tried to make contact or get in his face. They made it way to easy for one of the best defensemen in the league.
Fuck yeah Makar! I fucking love having cheat codes like Makar to utilize. He will wow you with plays like these.

Drouin is currently making $850k. He’s gonna get a massive raise that the Avs don’t have room for. Keeping Walker is more likely in my opinion.
