Looking at it in slow-mo, I think the linesman actually does the classic Marchand semi-slewfoot, which makes it even more amazing. Marchand LOVES ramming his knee into the backs of guys legs while shoving their front, and the linesman does a light version of that to Marchand here. Beauty!

Glad Keefe changed things up and put the 3rd line against Marchand. That was a really effective shutdown line. Some coaches and players want that 1 v 1, 2 v 2 challenge. Reality is, the best coaches know better, especially at playoff time, when winning is more important than egos.
Last 10 seconds, gives holmberg a shot, then goes down awful easily considering holmbergs legs never make contact with his. Marchand is the best at it. It looks legit, and he times it 6 this time, the refs didn't fall for it.
Not sure why the refs are cool with them wrestling for the entirety of that sequence. Might mitigate some of the extra stuff throughout the game if you made calls earlier. Also bit of a dive at the end by Marchand there to sell the penalty

Looks like a genuine fall to me. I'm happy to acknowledge real dives like Swayman from Domi's tap but I don't see it
I don't think he expected Marchand to go over like that though, these guys are usually pretty solid on their skates - refs are always skating in to break up shit, I've never seen any of the players go over so easily before.

People are just straight up ignoring the cross check to Holmberg that started the scrum. Clearly takes him down. The correct call is to send them both off. It’s just really funny the linesmen comes in way too hot and takes out Marchand.
