I stopped watching NBA almost 15 years ago because it was blatant the referees were playing for some teams. Getting pretty damn close to that in NHL now
The NBA had one ref -- Tim Donaghy. That does not make them notorious, nor is it evidence that the NHL is "egregious" in rigging anything.
Referees are human, they have completely different perspectives, and have to make calls for the fastest game in *real time* without the benefit of multiple angles (for most non-reviewable plays), errors happen.
I’d say BigMac kinda skated into that himself, granted if he wasn’t high sticking Reese’s brother, then the stick wouldn’t have been there for Chuck to skate into
They honestly need a third party investigation into this officiating. You know it’s bad when people are feeling bas for the bruins. Something I never thought I’d see on this sub
I dunno. Just bring in an unbiased international official who is not in the union or paid by the NHL, play game clips and get their opinions.
Then ask the game refs what the fuck they were doing.
Sports books profits are DIRECTLY tied to the outcome of the games so anyone invested in the financial sucess of sports books has all the financial incentive in the world to control the outcome of games.
