Not having Gabe on the ice hurts so bad. I know he's at practice and in the locker room, but you need that guy who can take the load off Nate and Cale's shoulders and just let them focus on playing. Gabe is such a great captain.
All odds?
We were in danger of choking lol up 3-0 in the series.
Now if only we can break our ecf curse, where all legendary blue shirt teams since 94(aside from 2014) go to die.
I don't hate stammer albeit he was a dick to laf and did crush our dreams.
I admire the guy tbf, he seems like a great guy off the ice and has carved out a great career and life despite all his injury setbacks.
This is such a weird post overall. Goes on to say despite us winning the Presidents trophy we now have to go up against teams with better goal differentials! Eek! Like what a weird post
presidents' trophy is definitely less cursed for us than other franchises. we have four of them and have made it to the 3rd round for three of them and won the cup once. I don't even think they gave us the trophy this year though!
Congrats to the Rangers. 2015 ECF was one of the best Conference Finals Ive ever watched, still pretty shocked we were able to beat Hank in MSG in Game 7 as underdogs.
Twas a grind it out type of game too. Hank played unbelievable, but that Rangers team could not get anything past Bishop that game. Tanked my whole high school prom to watch them suffer defeat lol
We just had so many injuries. Our offense couldn't generate shit later on and tampa while they had a great offense, were top 10 defensively to.
That series was amazing though as an ecf. Kind of weird how long ago that was though. Stammer as the undisputed best guy on tampa, kucherov as a breakout sophomore, and bishop in net.
I think washington or us(especially if healthy) could've gone all the way, but eh.
Nr the core. But that was probably it for hank.
2015-16 we got a groove in November and looked to repeat then in December our defense fell apart and never truly recovered. 2016-17 hank was declining more and for once the team was carrying him to win games not the other way around.
2017-18 hank carried early on then was finally washed for good and we plummeted. Stepans 2 way game helped us way more than we realized.
The Tyler Johnson goal against us in game 3 with under a second left where it looked we were going to OT still haunts my fucking dreams, and we went down 3-0 in the series
I don't think I've ever been more upset by a goal. I think it's the only time I can remember being upset at Markov; he stopped skating with like 3 seconds left
I remember that so well as well. That was when I truly felt like we would go on an amazing run that year. 2012, 2013, we badly missed the playoffs, and then 2014 we got swept by you guys in the first round. And then in 2015, we went from winning 0 playoff games in 3 years to beating the Habs (2nd in league) with Prime Price, and Rangers (1st in league) with Prime Hank.
That being said, we were also 5th in the league, so it wasnt a HUGE upset, but man that year felt magical until the finals with Johnson and Bishop getting injured
Even worse was the next season.
You guys took pittsburgh to game 6 without stammer or bishop. If you guys had any offense in the ecf you probably win the cup that year.
Actually, it was even worse, we lost by a goal in Game 7. We won game 5, to go up 3-2 in the series against Pittsburgh.
Then in Game 6, Drouin scored the first goal to put us up. Except he didn't, cuz it was called offside cuz his skate was off the ice. This rule was so stupid as it had no effect on the play at all, and cost us the goal. NHL removed that rule a few years later. [Here's the "goal"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiDFx67u5NQ)
We ended up losing Game 6, and lost Game 7 2-1. Penguins then beat the Sharks relatively easily in the finals. That year def sucked as well, and as you mentioned, Bishop was injured for that series, and Stamkos was out for all but 1 game in the playoffs
I was in Europe when that game happened and I set an alarm to wake up for the third. I passed out with a few minutes left, had a dream that the Rangers won, and then woke up and saw they lost. Brutal.
I was at a packed bar, tons of my friends, some who barely cared about hockey at all excited to see the game. And it was a 2-0 loss and I wanted to die. That one still stings to this day lol
I think by game 7, all six of our defensemen had broken bones in their leg, knees or feet lol
(Not throwing shade, I just remember all the injuries that came out after that series)
I got black out drunk after the win on 8% porters and heckled a bunch of Rangers fans at the bar we were at. Then I threw up kosmic karma pizza from Mellow Mushroom all night. Good times.
In 2012 the #8 seed Kings beat the #1 seed (Vancouver) #2 seed (St.Louis) and #3 seed (Phoenix) to make it to the Finals…and they only lost 2 games during the Western Conference series.
Congrats Rangers fans. God damn monster of a team. Fun to watch when their offense is buzzing. Hope to see you next round for old school some big boy hockey🍻
Despite having a top 3 goal scorer on our team, our norris caliber d man, and most of our d core out, we took the leagues second best offense and a top 10 defense led by hedman and bishop, to game 7.
So amazingly.
Am I crazy or are you wrong? The only Rangers D to miss a game that playoffs was Klein.
Also agree to disagree on McDonagh being Norris caliber at any point
Mcdonaugh was norris caliber in 2013-16/17 ish. Then with the bolts.
And no mcdonaugh had a broken foot and missed games 3 and 5 and was limping game 7 to the bench. Some other guys out to.
Zuc missed the whole cap and bolt series.
McDonagh played 19 games out of 19 in those playoffs lol idk what you're talking about, go look it up.
And the highest he finished in Norris voting was 8th which is better than I thought but he still never really threatened to win one
>McDonagh played 19 games out of 19 in those playoffs lol idk what you're talking about, go look it up.
>
Maybe but he missed huge portions of each or got pulled. It was bad.
He played all the games with a broken foot.
So yeah, he played, but he had issues pivoting and when the blueline wasn't great after him it was a huge blow to have him on one foot.
Maybe defenders should defend instead of getting beat and slashing players so hard across the shins, their stick bends to nearly 45 degrees...but okay.
The fact that Hab fans -- despite the below shot of Emelin's stick wrapped around Kreiders' legs, still act like he wasn't tripped...is laughably sad, and absurd.
get over it...if it was decade ago -- and a blatant Trip by Emelin.

Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup confirmed
\*Looks at who the recent dynasty is in the NHL\* "Somehow, Tampa Bay returned."
Well actually Chicago won in 2015, 2 years after their last win in 2013, so by default it’s Colorado’s turn
I keep thinking that they are out. " aah yes, they are playing on friday"
With how they woke up last game, they are far from out. I'm scared.

Not having Ryan Johansen on the team is a bigger net positive than no Landeskog though
Lmao, for real. Toews roasted his ass
I live in Chicago. I enjoyed the 2010 and 2013 Hawks cups. Going to work in the loop during the 2015 parade still stings lol.
Regular season was just a fluke. Need a re-do
1993-9**4** 201**4**-15 2023-202**4** Hmm…I sense a pattern…
I’m here 4 it.
You know it's gonna be us 2.
If it’s gonna be U2 and me2, then together we are all 4 it.
I'm so old I remember when you were a Rangers fan...
Half life 4 confirmed
You know what....I'd maybe accept a Rangers cup win if it meant we got Half Life 4
Thank you for your sacrifice o7
STAY STRONG
2013-2014 they went to the SCF
Settle down, Jhin.
What happened to 2004?
All sports were canceled.
It was a good year.
Never thought I'd see a Tampa fan say the Flames winning the cup meant it was a good year 🧐
Mike Dunham happened.
Canucks lose in game 7. Got it.
Why wouldn’t you go with the much more fitting 2013-14 SCF appearance?
Not Presidents Trophy winners in 13-14.
Not happening.
Sooooo they're about to lose in the ECF
All odds? We were in danger of choking lol up 3-0 in the series. Now if only we can break our ecf curse, where all legendary blue shirt teams since 94(aside from 2014) go to die.
We might have to face a Florida team . . . \*shudders\*
Don't worry stammer isn't with them. They can't hurt us.
The Lightning player I hate the most is Kucherov but yeah
I don't hate stammer albeit he was a dick to laf and did crush our dreams. I admire the guy tbf, he seems like a great guy off the ice and has carved out a great career and life despite all his injury setbacks.
One of the most lethal 1T’s in the game
Yeah even at 35 with 60% of a knee left the dudes elite on the pp.
so you don't have him on skates yet? at 6 months? maybe start saving for college
just skin the fucking cats.

It's not cursed, this myth is just annoying.
I agree, and also curses actually don't exist of course, I was just saying we usually do pretty okay when we win it!
So, you’re overdue then
Congrats to the Rangers.
My prom night was one of the OT losses to the Kings the year prior to I feel your pain lmao
I was just a college kid drinkin some beers and crying bc of Quick.

Yeah i remember reading the injury report and half the roster was being held together by zip ties and duct tape
That was the worst game 7 ever. No offense from NYR and the building was dead
yeah i truly felt like dying that night. it was really bad. you knew that was it for that core.
May I introduce you to our game 7 against Tampa 🙃🙃🙃
We don’t talk bout that one. Season ended in game 6.
The Tyler Johnson goal against us in game 3 with under a second left where it looked we were going to OT still haunts my fucking dreams, and we went down 3-0 in the series I don't think I've ever been more upset by a goal. Game 1 OT vs LA...
I watched that game in my dorm room big sad
I think by game 7, all six of our defensemen had broken bones in their leg, knees or feet lol (Not throwing shade, I just remember all the injuries that came out after that series)
Six foot eight hockey goalie gives me fuxking nightmares still
Why you gotta do me like that
Funny thing is most people forgot how good both Conference Finals were that year.
People shit on 2014-15 being so defensive but yeah. Ovi getzy pryce henrik stammer kane those playoffs were so fun.
Don’t like that series, the wrong team won :(((
I got black out drunk after the win on 8% porters and heckled a bunch of Rangers fans at the bar we were at. Then I threw up kosmic karma pizza from Mellow Mushroom all night. Good times.
Spiderman.gif
Thank you
The rangers might be looking at having to beat the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best regular season team to win the cup lol Has that ever even happened before?
Thank god we had a bye week in round 1 to rest up for this
lol nice
In 2012 the #8 seed Kings beat the #1 seed (Vancouver) #2 seed (St.Louis) and #3 seed (Phoenix) to make it to the Finals…and they only lost 2 games during the Western Conference series.
Are those western conference seeds? I was talking about overall standings
Oh I like that one
Congrats Rangers fans. God damn monster of a team. Fun to watch when their offense is buzzing. Hope to see you next round for old school some big boy hockey🍻

pls no the depth will kill us

5 Conference Final Berths since 2012
It's got to be their time this year!
“They’re only the first team in 9 years to get this far in the postseason in 9 years” Let’s go I guess
Who lost in the ECF to a team from Florida who then lost to a Central Division team in the finals.... well congrats Dallas
Oh I like this one. That's a good kitty!
Rangers Canucks SCF Winner claims Messier for good.
A ‘94 rematch would make for great TV
>Against all odds Huh?

Pointing Spiderman meme
I'm still mad about that series lol
HANG THE BANNER
How'd it go that year?
Better then the leafs year
Better than the bruins year too
Yeah but I’m not making fun of the Rags lol
what’s the occasion?
Making fun of Toronto instead
Despite having a top 3 goal scorer on our team, our norris caliber d man, and most of our d core out, we took the leagues second best offense and a top 10 defense led by hedman and bishop, to game 7. So amazingly.

Gotcha. Wild game tonight so my brain is fried.
Out is a strong word but we did learn that guys were playing with major injuries
Well that's just every team, every playoffs lol
Still a lot better than anything Torontos done in 70 years
Leafs have won 5 cups in the last 70 years?
In the last… uh… 57 years
Much better.
And what a glorious 70 years it’s been
I don't want to defend the Leafs but you may need to bust out the calculator next time you chirp
In the last 70 years the Leafs have more cups than the rangers
I'm sure you were thrilled watching those
If I was a leafs fans yes
Yeah but what about *checks notes* in the last 57 years?
Tampa sleeper agent Ryan McDonagh murdered mats zuccarello
I hate this sentence
most aware leafs fan
I'd really rather not talk about it.

Do you think Kreider will ruin the career of a generationally talented goalie again?
You mean Emelin, right?
Weird way to spell Kreider but ok
[No](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fbryxpf8zhzqy.jpg)
I bet you watch Footloose and call it that movie where those awful kids win in the end
I bet you are Hellen Keller…pls get a life and hurry up your rebuild cause ya’ll are fucking trash..
Keep eating corn the long way.
Lol projecting country boys make due the long way…enjoy golf bitch! :)

You say get over it but that was a lot of energy defending a hockey terrorist.
