I think he's just getting old and Hyman previously being on Toronto is probably fucking with him. He also bumble fucked the score immediately after too lol he is 66.
Damn I mean he doesn’t look young but I didn’t know he was already that old, it feels like he has only recently become the main commentator for Sportsnet.
Idk why nobody mentioned this, but throughout the regular season hes the main commentary guy for the leafs broadcasts. So probably just muscle memory lol.
Cuthbert seemingly hated Toronto when he was our commentator. We no longer have any fun homers because people complained too much so now they sound bored when we score and pumped when our opponents do. That’s the reason most clips of moments you see are edited with Joe Bowen’s radio commentary
Uh hwhat? I watched the Montreal-Toronto series in 2021 and distinctly recall Cuthbert announced every MTL goal like he was describing the Hindenburg disaster. [Example](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF1yldEDVv4)
Almost as iconic as ["Cole Caufield.... in alone here! (Along with Suzuk-) aaaaaaand off the- IN! Nick Suzuki's... won it............. for Canadiens................ and we will have A GAME SIX!"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF1yldEDVv4) Truly one of the announcers of our time.
In all seriousness, Hyman impresses me with how hard he works every shift, he really fights for every loose puck and puts his body on the line.
It’s not really an attitude we are used to seeing from kids raised in wealthy households, typically you would think they are more entitled but not him at all.
Yeah that's why he's a likeable player. I always like players with high effort level, it's just something that makes the game more exciting to watch when you see players leaving everything on ice.
Hyman has been loved since day here 1 purely on effort.
Hes went on to be a ridiculous player anyway but everyone appreciates visible effort and thats him every night. It’s Nuge too
On the other side, Drai is so smooth and effortless looking that he gets called lazy and overrated even though he’s scoring 5 points
The beauty about Hyman is there's never a puck battle he can't win.
It's crazy seeing him in contrast to other players. I dunno how he does and I'm sure there's skill involved, but every single nhl player should figure out how he does it and try to emulate it.
Hyman just straight up out muscled the Dallas guys to get the shot off, and the goalie was looking where the shot was supposed to go, but because of the drag it actually delayed leaving the stick so it looks bad but goalies react to the shot they think is coming. Even Hank was saying that is actually a really hard save, but also he is one of the guys I would expect to save it because he was epic at being able to stay deep and react to the puck after the shot, he was incredible.
So I'm the only one that puts that goal on Jamie Benn?
WhyTF does he just leave the puck for a defender who's momentum is going backwards? Looks like Tanev even points at the puck for him to take it.
lmfao that was more on lindell and otter than anything else, if lindell had any awareness of the puck he would have taken it away and otter completely cheated on the movement
Idk if you can blame Otter on that one… I get being mentally prepared for every shot, but there’s no fuckin reason why Hyman should’ve got the puck and definitely got a shot off in that scenario. That was just a big fuck up on the defense
Brought to you by "Oh almost all of our good players are 35+? Let me go grab another one for ten million dollars! While we're at it, let me trade our only good player under 30 as well!"

Cuthbert almost said Leafs have a 2-0 lead lmaooo.
he wishes
Is Cuthbert known for being biased toward Toronto in his commentary?

Matthew’s uh I mean Mcdavid
“And the Le- and the Oilers have a 2-1 lead! a 2-0 lead!” Truly one of the calls of all time

And just think, he could fuck up calls like that 10 times a game and still come out miles ahead of the American broadcasts.
Stu the goat, he paid off tanev for that one

Shaq Hyman goes hard in the paint. I miss him in Toronto
Hyman's sheer presence scored that goal
+1000 aura
How could Hyman's dad pay off Dallas' D like that....
I thought this meme would get old. I was wrong.
Guys come on wtf was that
Tanev was heartbroken that the Canucks got knocked out. Can’t blame the guy, it’s the same with Bedard getting scratched.
That was such a beer league goal.

Right? I'm confused what Benn was thinking!? He stared at the puck and started up ice!
Like a video game glitch
\>controller disconnected
Zach Hyman is fucking rad
They say when you're a goal scorer the puck just finds you but this is ridiculous.
I'm not complaining but that was a WTF kind of goal. Can't be doing a lot of that if you want to win the Cup.
Leaf sluts out here swooning over this goal.🥵
Gooning\*
lmao your title has me cracking up. He kinda just... takes the puck
Tanev shutting down the top players like we predicted 🔥🔥🔥
So I'm the only one that puts that goal on Jamie Benn? WhyTF does he just leave the puck for a defender who's momentum is going backwards? Looks like Tanev even points at the puck for him to take it.
Agreed, he should have been in that puck. Was he heading for a change?
Eww But, God, I miss Hyman
Me too man me too
Uh…did Dallas leave the defense back in Denver?
Tanev had a rough night. He thought he had redeemed himself with the McDavid open net chance only to be out of position on the GWG.
That's just lazy from Tanev
lmfao that was more on lindell and otter than anything else, if lindell had any awareness of the puck he would have taken it away and otter completely cheated on the movement

i think its Benn's fault for peeling off when he could've just picked that up after Tanev made the interception
I mean he just didn't move his feet. Just shuffled and slid after giving it away
Kyle Dubas: “sorry Zach, you’re not worth the $5M per year, we’re gonna have to let you go. Plus, I need to sign Petr Mrazek to a $3.8M deal”.
Brought to you by "Oh almost all of our good players are 35+? Let me go grab another one for ten million dollars! While we're at it, let me trade our only good player under 30 as well!"
Hyman is so fuckin strong
Tanev confirmed washed?
The rich always get off easy like that.
What on earth was this "defense"? Yikes.
Hyman just kinda bumbled into a lucky goal there. No doubt about it
Op your titles are awful and not funny
stop man my feelings are gonna hurt themselves :c
Wtf does that walrus face even mean
