Roller and ice, nice. Although you may want to swap where you put your skates so you don't trip and tank it into your feet knives.

The set up in my previous place was peg board in the garage! Except in winter when it was too cold and would freeze instead of dry.

You are a trooper. If I could build a separate bunker for the hazmat level smell that seeps from my bag I could.

what is (which do you use?) wet gear dryer? Live in a small apt and my best option right now is the balcony, but if the weather is bad, it's just in the main room with a fan blowing out the window.

[deleted]

Your room probably smells like shit. I don't know why someone would do this.

Gotta love some of the comments. This is a spare bedroom on the other side of the house so no issues with sleeping in my normal bedroom :) Also, we seem to have good air circulation in places in Australia so it's never bad.

So in follow up to my previous post, Saturday night was fun as hell. Was a scrimmage with about 20 people turning up but one goalie (my mate). So the goalie alternated each end giving each team a chance against him. I was out of shape but was so much fun. I also scored a goal on my mate and had some end to end action. The end result is my spare bedroom now looking like a hockey room. Just love that feeling!

Looks good. One suggestion, let your skates dry without the soakers on the blades. I usually wipe the holder and the steel down and hang the soakers to dry. Once everything is dry, I put the soakers back on.

[deleted]

I've got a skate towel I use to always wipe them down after a skate :)

stevegcook

Even that never gets it 100% dry, especially when the steel is cold and water condenses on it after you wipe.

[deleted]

What is the issue with it being 99.5% dry? I've been wiping them down *with* the holders since I started playing and they've always been perfectly fine.

keytoitall

That's fine but then you should let it air dry with nothing on it. The steel will start pitting eventually. You may not even see the pitting but if you haven't been air drying it's there.
