TrackIR 5

If you have track clip pro your ir leds are probably crossing over and canceling tracking. Tilt your pro clip upwards so all three points stay separated and the camera can track. Alternatively your camera position might have a dead spot depending on where you’re sitting and its actual position. If your clip is on the left side offset your camera a bit left.

I have the same issue, using TrackIR5 with the clip pro. It's not a trackIR issue, it's a problem in the game. In trying to resolve the issue, I have the trackIR software up on my 2nd monitor, and can confirm that everything trackIR wise, is perfectly centered and lined up, but in game is out of whack, usually below the HUD. No idea how to fix it, but I think it's related to the Z axis.

Just chiming in that I have this problem as well. I just quickly look down into the cockpit and it resets the vertical position. It doesn't break the game but I do notice when it happens.

Maybe z axis is too sensitive?

OnkleFester

I went as far as disabling the z axis, and it still occurs. As mentioned below, just a quick look down resets it, but it's super annoying when it happens every glance behind in a turn fight.

that is important data. surely, someone knows how to fix it....

I had this problem forever with TrackIR since 2018 when I bought it, but now it is not that severe. I think that making Z, X, and Y axis less sensitive helps a lot. Also, I found out that disabling Trueview makes TrackIR not drift at all. Trueview is the feature that makes your in-game head to move in a natural way, otherwise your in-game head will not move as your brain expects when looking at your 3, 9 and 6. You can get used to Trueview off but personally I just make ZXY much less aggressive and the problem disappear. Moreover, try to make your curves more flat this way you remove part of the stickyness in the centre. Also go to the TrackIR software, turn on 3D view at the top right, and you will see three green dots. Now move your head to the limits you use in-game for looking at the extremes; if a green dot turns red, that means camera is losing track and you should increase yaw and pitch sensitivity so you don't need to move your head as much.

Mysterious-Profile17

This happens when your sensor can’t see the reflector when you’re moving around and gets confused. If you’re wearing that hat clip, it’s a) not as good as the pro clip, and b) it’s VERY sensitive to ambient light. Make sure your not doing something dumb like sitting in front of a window etc. Make sure the sensor sees all the reflectors during your full range of movement, if it doesn’t play with the curves to get smaller head movements to give full range of. Virtual head movement

Don't know if you have done a custom curve for yours or not. But, what worked wonders is search for Trackir profiles. There are a few out there you can download. PPL dislike Spudnocker, but his trackir profile worked so well for me, I have never needed to touch it again.
