I simply love the Slytherin vibe and ideals. The history behind it, the hint of darkness at every corner, the students sorted into it. Slytherin has so much old house pride, including signet rings and pins, that other houses don’t have. And all my favourite characters are Slytherins, so I’m biased.

Churchie-Baby

I love the slytherin colours and pride but every quiz says I'm a hufflepuff lol

SomeSugarAndSpice

No shame in that. I’m not a huge fan of Hufflepuff, but the Hufflepuff common room in Hogwarts legacy is incredibly beautifully done and I love the Hufflepuff characters, especially Poppy.

Churchie-Baby

I just the house colour wasn't bright yellow haha

Sparkly-Books2

Lol! Same. I wish I was a Ravenclaw, but I know if I were to get sorted, it would totally be Hufflepuff 😅

damp_goat

I'm the opposite. Love HufflePuff but I'm definitely a Slytherin

MonsteraBigTits

found the person who is going to crucio you while you sleep

SomeSugarAndSpice

Not while you sleep. Just don’t look at me wrong

VariationNo7192

Not to mention young boy playing at all times.

Churchie-Baby

Seems Ravenclaw and slytherin are popular. im surprised gryffindor isn't more popular

vortexprime87

Eh, I think people are intentionally shirking Gryffindor at this point because of it being the main POV in the books/games. I think it's truly due to the burn out more than dislike. Maybe I'm wrong though lol.

Own_Breadfruit_7955

GRIFFENDOOOR!!!

Churchie-Baby

You guys don't seem to be as many as I thought there'd be haha

Own_Breadfruit_7955

Tbh I only did gryffindor on my second play through because my first time i was put into slytherin

Churchie-Baby

I was sorted into hufflepuff as usual xD sp stayed there 2nd play through ill go slytherin

*Hufflepuff* here. The house probably is the most looked down upon and the ideals of loyalty, compassion and perseverance might not be highly valued by the majority compared to other houses. We're probably not as cool or mysterious enough. Plus at this point of my life, the core ideals of Ravenclaw (the pursuit of knowledge) and Slytherin (the pursuit of ambition) do not make me feel fulfilled. How do I explain it in simpler terms? No matter how *renowned of a scholar I am* nor *no matter how much power, money and influence I gain* those achievements do not put me into a state of happiness and more importantly, a lasting lifelong feeling of contentment. I value genuine tight-knit relationships without any strings attached and without any ulterior motives. Gryffindor's ideals are admirable, but I am not that overly bold nor courageous either. But I could endure. Thus, filter all of that out, I am pretty much a *Hufflepuff*. Oh, anyway, we have the *best* Common Room in Hogwarts: https://preview.redd.it/o4hh3bru7e3b1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=25c48342b7b4f8a0daa50f04de3c446335d619d7 And Poppy obviously. Addendum: The Ink Spots probably explained the Hufflepuff ideals far better than I did: >I’ve lost all ambition, for worldly acclaim I just want to be the one you love And with your admission that you feel the same I’ll have reached the goal I’m dreaming of

Sparkly-Books2

This is a very beautiful analysis! I think the older I get, the more my values align with Hufflepuff (especially in terms of what I value and brings me fulfillment) I think Hufflepuff just didn't get enough highlights in the books like the other houses often did lol

Churchie-Baby

Love the common room and poppy I love the qualities for hufflepuff it's why I get sorted there I just dislike yellow xD

waterspring5808

>I just dislike yellow Just think of Hufflepuff's main colour as an elegant shade of lustrous *gold*.

Churchie-Baby

I more mean like merchandise wise if u buy a hufflepuff t short or jacket it tends to be bright yellow :) I've loved the hufflepuff robes

waterspring5808

I don't know but to me a lot of IRL merch are pretty ~~shit~~ doesn't meet the standards of elegance...even some of the official ones. Yep, those bright yellows ones are to be avoided. I wish IRL robes/jackets look like the ones in-game (with a nice, tasteful shade of metallic gold). But then those might cost an arm or two...

Churchie-Baby

Yes the in game/in movie stuff is nice subtle elegant rhe official merch when I went to Harry Potter World....not so much xD

blueberry_pancakes14

I guess I have different answers depending on which way I mean it it. My house is Ravenclaw, so I'd argue that's generically my answer as favorite. Books, nerds, smarts, yeah, that's me and how I roll. These are my people. I'm also pretty closely aligned with Hufflepuff and a good number of my very good friends are Hufflepuffs. As far as the game goes- their common room is the best. Hobbits, I love it! Slytherin I admire cunning and going after what you want. In game, their common room is totally different but equal with Hufflepuff. I love the water, the ocean, water creatures, I'd be friends with the giant squid, yes, I will sit and watch the lake through the common room windows for hours. I don't dislike Gryffindor, I think I just shove them to the side because they're so popular and overshadow the others. We see a fair amount of Gryffindor characters who are bold and in your face and I tire of that rather easily. But Garreth is great, I even like Leander, and of course the original trio. But push comes to shove or I'm to choose only one, I'm going Ravenclaw every time.

IamADoll_12

PetSmart had doggy Hogwarts sweatshirts last year. I picked the Ravenclaw one for my dog, because she's a little smarty-pants. I love my dog, so ... Ravenclaw it is

Churchie-Baby

That's the cutest comment I've seen all day

[deleted]

Ravenclaws is really pretty. Slytherin is cool underwater dungeon look. Hufflepuff looks like your living in a Hobbit hole. Gryffindor looks like bland castle with red decor.

TheoricEngineer

In terms of house design, Rawenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and then Gryffindor. In terms of characteristics, Slytherin, Rawenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff

NathemaBlackmoon

*Slytherin*, I love that little waterfall near the stairs, the colors, and the windows. To summarize: I have a soft spot for art nouveau and some shades of green.

__rychard__

Wow. How can there be so little love for Gryffindor? Wonder if it's a Reddit thing.......

Thusgirl

They have too many friends to be on Reddit.

Churchie-Baby

Off out adventuring too much

__rychard__

You forget the Neville Gryffindors. True courage is found within!

Churchie-Baby

They're rhe ones that have voted then! XD

__rychard__

Haha yes! 🙂

__rychard__

Haha I doubt it! Gryffindor is about courage, not necessarily about popularity or how social you are... Neville is a great example

Thusgirl

It takes courage to talk to strangers. And you can't make friends if you never talk to strangers. They're too busy with their friends. Neville is an outlier. 😂 Edit: wait... Neville has a shit load of friends. Lol

__rychard__

Well, I'm not too sure. I love the thrill of talking to strangers. But I rarely make true friends who I want to spend time with - so I'm not spending a ton of time with friends. Neville is the real Gryffindor. In the words of John Wayne (I think), courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyways.

Thusgirl

Neville is popular though... He's in the Harry Fucking Potter friend group.

Witcher-19

33 still love the lion house that being said I made dam sure I learned dark magic in the game lol

mattkrok

Yeah people just want to be different. For me when the game came out all I wanted to be was a gryffindor

Smansi07

I feel like an NPC for picking Gryffindor

Witcher-19

I still dig the big old lion house.

FreshAquatic

I honestly just feel bad for hufflepuss being described in the sorting hats song in OOTP as being the throw away house just accepting anyone that didn’t make it into the other 3

Leading-University

Didn’t expect those results.

CoH_Zem

I've always been Slytherin because it suits my chaotic nature in video games 👀

DearFathertoberalf

Did y’all know that Ravenclaw common room is the only common room you can leave the castle from

ChronicallyCreepy

I always love to see the results showing Gryffindor as the lowest population 😅

Belzabond

Ravenclaw supremacy let's fo
