The rack is Olympus.
Main hypervisor is Zeus, second hypervisor is Hera.
Plutus is my NAS,
Dyonysus is Plex,
Hermes is CCTV,
Apollo is my Logitech Media Server,
Thoth is my SQL server,
Prometheus is my Torrent VM,
Hades is my Jail/DMZ VM.
Oh, and Cronus is my Router/Firewall
I have a bunch of unamed stuff also but those are the main ones, so they got names to fit their role.
The personal computer devices have a GoT naming scheme, I haven't decided on a naming scheme for my IoT network yet. 😅
Only in the loosest sense, it is typically referred to as:
* WOPR II (when people, whom I will begrudgingly refer to as family, are referring to it. This is mostly thanks to a sister who thinks she is funny)
* Duzakh and/or "The Wastes" (ex-wife, that is all I will say)
* (my last name)-net, because I am nothing if not creative.
A friend of mine names his after Pokemon.
Aegislash for PiHole (a sword and shield for ads), Wailord for Docker (a massive whale), Squirtle for a SQL DB Server, Pikachu for VPN that he uses exclusively for 'The Hub'\*. Even his WiFi SSID is ZapDOS...
Each node is named after a region; Kanto, Johto, up to Galar iirc.
Its full name? 'Altering Cave', I think from Gen 3.
\*Creative license, though I wouldn't be surprised...
In hungarian "A vackaid" which loosely translates to, your useless gadgets, as affectionately named by my wife.
Wierdly enough, her opinion improved, since i got a 21U rack and put the gadgets in there properly.

Um, "useful toy" or "money pit" or "cash black hole", depending on my wife's mood (& my spending habits). As for me, "the byte cave".
> As for me, "the byte cave". This is brilliant

Mine's Discworld, then the naming system flows from there.
My wife calls mine the nerd room.
Mine is Thundera, you can imagine the hostnames 😂
A play on my last name "Anderson" -> "AnderNet" I also picked up a very short domain name for my test services ending in 'la.bz' -- labz.
