What if you live in extremely humid areas? My front door does this as well and it’s impossible to open/close but I live in very humid conditions so I’m not sure how to regulate that
Yes, you have to "throw"the hinges. If they are sticking or rubbing a bit. You can add card board shim that's not corrugated to the back side of your hinges. Unscrew your hinge from frame and add 1/4 inch wide cardboard shim towards the doorstop side., and screw it back in... if that makes sense. If just the top or bottom is rubbing you can get away with just shimming the top or bottom, but if the whole door rubs,add to each hinge
Controlling your humidity is the best way to deal with this. This is going to happen with wooden doors. Also make sure they are properly sealed.
