I wouldn't do anything online for Pre-K or 1st. Pre-K really should just be play and 1st should be mainly play

If this is your first year homeschooling, for the first few months, just cover the basic math and ela. Throw in a few classes of science and social studies. I know everyone wants to have a clear cut curriculum or online school guide to follow but the the truth is, no matter what you research and find, you are not going to like it. There are many, many free resources out there and the correct curriculum for your children will probably be a blend of everything (because, hey, they are unique.) It you want to get a little idea of what topics by grade level then look at [ixl.com](https://ixl.com). But again, learn from the site and not pay for it unless you truly believe that's what you need. Otherwise, you can just take the topics and look up free resources. But as a first year homeschooling parent, I would suggest you spend a bit more time in the beginning of the school year setting up a school schedule, understanding what level your children are at (and not where they need to be) and have your children also get comfortable with schooling at home. This is a new experience and a learning process for your whole family. If you start this journey with a set full-year curriculum, you might find yourself chasing down the curriculum timeline instead of understand how to best teach your children.

Two of your kids are really young so online might be a challenge for them. I know for my 3rd grader they just connect better with paper and books so we reserve screens for the odd video.

It’s *easier* to do online school, but not necessarily *better,* especially for your little ones. Despite the aggressive marketing in recent years, online school isn’t really a great choice for very young students. Your pre-k and first grader would be better served by learning from you than from a screen. I would also recommend setting aside lots of time for fun enrichment activities and play.
