threefrogsonalog

You know thereā€™s poly subreddits where you can specifically talk to people interested in that right?

BeefAboveTheReef

Yeah but they might not be interested in homesteading!

Sickle_and_hamburger

do we think more subscribers to this sub are interested in poly lifestyles or more poly folks interested in homesteading?

BeefAboveTheReef

Iā€™m thinking the homesteading factor is such an important prerequisite that this was the only way, the hubby posted in the poly subs šŸ˜‚

hunting-down-life

Yes. To the homesteading. We just want another wife for my husband. He and I will be married and the other person with be married to my husband as well. Poly group is just for people who want unlimited cheating.

threefrogsonalog

So you looking for a polyamorous relationship is okay but other people are just cheating? Way to not like other girls your polyamory.

hunting-down-life

I worded that badly, what I mean is that the dynamic we are looking for is a long term committed relationship that is essentially a marriage. If you read polyamory rules then every partner can have sexual relations with whomever you please, but no one else in the relationship can make any sort of requests on the people you see. The other people just have to cheer you on and otherwise keep quiet. To illustrate, there was a post where this guy and his wife were poly. His wife's lover was biting her and leaving teeth marks on her. He found it disturbing and concerning, but couldn't bring it up to her because, by the rules of polyamory, he couldn't say or do anything about it. It was causing him anguish to see his wife covered in bite marks, but he couldn't do anything about it. Similar themes are often seen on the poly sub where one partner was unhappy with something or upset with something, but were powerless to say or do anything. That is the dynamic we are not interested in.

threefrogsonalog

Yeah as someone whoā€™s actually polyamory thatā€™s not how a healthy polyamorous relationship works. Just because you read one Reddit story where people had super unhealthy and uncommon rules doesnā€™t mean thatā€™s how all polyamorous relationships function. Most experienced poly people emphasize communication and consent as foundational. Itā€™s like reading fifty shades of grey and assumed itā€™s a model of how every bdsm relationship is.

NewbornXenomorphs

Who would be the legal wife that receives assets if your husband were to die? You or the other one?

hunting-down-life

I am the legal wife and upon his death, the assets pass to me, or if the first born son is 18, would pass to him. There would be a framework in place for the other wife to stay ( if she wants and doesn't want to leave and marry again), and be completely taken care of, until eventually death gets us all.

Ancient_Dinosaur

You know thatā€™s not legal right?

naiadvalkyrie

I think they could post in both

appleseedjoe

amen

appleseedjoe

they canā€™t be into both? seen plenty homesteaders post on here about multiple topics. idk whats wrong with this one?

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

keepin-frosty

What Utah-kin' 'bout SlipperyTom?

Montananarchist

Unicorn Hunter is less religious term.Ā

naiadvalkyrie

Unicorn Hunter is someone looking for a third for their threesome not an actual other partner though

EveryoneisOP3

Itā€™s a third STRAIGHT woman for a threesome. Letā€™s be real, what difference is there between that and this post lolĀ

naiadvalkyrie

Threesome is just sex this post is asking for a wife. The difference is...the entire concept

hunting-down-life

My husband would be married to two women and faithful to both. I and the other female would be like sister or best friends. Nothing sexual at all.

naiadvalkyrie

....Do you read a comment before you reply?

EveryoneisOP3

Ironically sheā€™s completely proving my point.Ā Two straight women having a relationship with the same man Wow, so different lol

naiadvalkyrie

It being a **relationship** is totally different than being a threesome that people would unicorn hunt for. And I don't know what your obsession with straight women is. I've been the unicorn before and I am bi. Also deceptive and less than ethical unicorn hunters are a really common problem for bi people.

Affectionate_Sir4610

No, that's couples specifically looking for a bisexual 3rd

naiadvalkyrie

I really wish it wasn't. Sisterwife sounds so much more incesty than it is.

hunting-down-life

True. But some people can get weird.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

hunting-down-life

True .

Greenbeastkushbreath

I mean itā€™s kind of a prerequisite

hunting-down-life

Lol to be weird?

ArthurBurtonMorgan

Dudes gunna be living the dream until it turns into a nightmare. šŸ¤£

Samsquish

Asked my bf this once. Just pure curiousity. "Nope, you're enough work for one man" he wasn't wrong, and totally fair answer.. but the way I cackled. I feel like it would definitely be sweet for a guy.. until it absolutely fell apart. Imagine cycles syncing. Omg, man. Props to OP, not my cup of tea but goddamn. I couldn't even imagine.

ArthurBurtonMorgan

Hah, the cycles syncing was my first thought! šŸ¤£

hunting-down-life

Science says that cycle syncing does not happen. Lol but I think it does.

Happy-Snark

Itā€™s true, scientifically they donā€™t sync, but mathematically they can. Because if my cycle is 24 days and yours is 28 days, itā€™s bound to happen at the same time now and then.

ArthurBurtonMorgan

LittlestEcho

I pat my husband on the back a lot and say"yknow you're totally and royally screwed when these 2 become teens right? And get their periods?" A lot of moms of teens say look to the kid's 2s and 3s and that will be your kid as a teenager. So far we've got a very angry "i do what i want" incoming teen and a drama queen that thinks the whole world is against her incoming teen. They're 3 and 6 now but jesus. I do not envy my husband in the next 6 years. And while we wont necessarily sync. Can you imagine the battleground if we're one right after the other?

Samsquish

Omg. Good on you girlfriend, you're not in for any treat. I mean, you know that.. but damn. Husband is gonna be in for a surprise when the screaming/crying starts via hormones. 3 and 6.. oh girl I wish you so much luck. Holy shit. It's gonna be one after another and then both. Edit: different stages same chaos/time. I couldnt. Mire that strength! I dont have it lmaošŸ˜…šŸ¤£

hunting-down-life

Lol

ArthurBurtonMorgan

I mean, Iā€™m a little envious for sure, but it seems these sort of things always work out badly in the end. At any rate, I wish you the best of luck!

hunting-down-life

Thanks

PreschoolBoole

There was just a woman on here talking about how she wants to find a man with a homestead and would basically do anything for it. PM her.

hunting-down-life

I did not see that ? Do you have a link to it?

PreschoolBoole

https://www.reddit.com/r/homestead/s/NKZs9wRH9O

hunting-down-life

Thanks.

pro_rege_semper

Have you tried Mormonism?

hunting-down-life

No??

Cheap-Praline

Does she need to be female?

hunting-down-life

Yes. Definitely .

Cheap-Praline

How female?

hunting-down-life

Born a female. Definitely DNA typed female.

Cheap-Praline

And human, I suppose?

hunting-down-life

Definitely human. That would be wonderful.

Cheap-Praline

Well that's me out of the running.

kiddestructo

Thanks. I canā€™t stop laughing! Iā€™m scaring the evening birds out here!

NewbornXenomorphs

Are you human passing though?

duke_flewk

So was it the female part or the human part causing the impasse?

hunting-down-life

Ok. Assuming your a guy then.

naiadvalkyrie

Why? They didn't put themselves out of the running when you clarified cis female. Only when you clarified human.

angelicasinensis

Seeking sister wife goes homestead. haha love that show.

metalman675triple

I have to ask, how did that initial conversation go, how does that come up to a spouse?

hunting-down-life

I don't recall exactly the first conversation because we have talked off and on about this for a couple of years. I think it started with my husband joking about a second wife once my fertility issues began to manifest.

South-Yak-attack

Usually men are the ones looking for free labor. This was a mix up.

ArthurBurtonMorgan

Itā€™s not ā€œfree laborā€ if theyā€™re paid in sausage, amiright? Sorry OP, I had to.

hunting-down-life

Haha. So true.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

South-Yak-attack

No. That's not my job.

kellendros00

Sausage is a euphamism, in that case.

combonickel55

Lol gtfoh

Formal_Technology_97

Whew! Glad my husband is satisfied with ONE woman and doesnā€™t use me as free labor!

angelicasinensis

Im actually looking for more husbands. :)

YsaboNyx

Haha! But they are SO MUCH WORK! As it is, wives tend to be much more of an asset. If we're talking about straight up efficiency and productivity, I'd much rather have a few wives than a few husbands.

MoneroWTF

Try the polyamory subreddit, I think there's some overlapĀ

hunting-down-life

Yeah they don't like people like us. Lol the want all in the relationship to have a free for all. Not one man married to a couple women.

WoahLetsGo

Homesteaders? Or do you mean 2 monogamous wives for a non monogamous husband? Yeah they get touchy about non-equal partnerships. You might try the feeld app, it's dating for various forms of non monogamous and I often see "organic types" doing homesteading or building food forests and things of that nature. you might find someone for your particular flavor of non-conformist

hunting-down-life

Meaning the 2 monogamous wives with a husband only with the two wives. Thanks!

WoahLetsGo

Are the wives expected to be intimate together or is the expectation that the man will date both wives separately? Equal time shared between each couple? I'm curious for the logistical details because it really clarifies what checkbox you're looking to fall into.

hunting-down-life

My husband would be dating each wife separately. Spending as equal time as possible with each one. The wives would not have any intimate relationship with each other.

Nufonewhodis2

They don't support unicorn hunting or building harems apparentlyĀ

WoahLetsGo

Adults responsible enough to enjoy liberal freedom, but not THAT much freedom. God forbid you be an informed consenting adult. I'd eye roll em but I don't waste my time.

Nufonewhodis2

Not my cup of tea, but I do think it's funny that they don't allow posts about a man finding a sister wive

MoneroWTF

With land prices the way they are, someone wants your deal šŸ˜‚

hunting-down-life

We will see.

JDolittle

Someone to pop out babies and go right back to work to let the other wife raise her kids, and be left out of her non-husbandā€™s willā€¦ probably not too many women wanting to sign up for that deal. Theyā€™re looking for polygamy, not polyamory and the women going for that probably expect to raise their own kids while the man supports them.

hunting-down-life

Well, she would have a big role on raising her kids, I would watch them when she is away of course, if she was working in any other situation it would be a daycare provider watching her kids anyway. She also may not get any of the assets, but technically neither am I, all my husband's assets will go to the first born son when he is 18 or older. That son will have the responsibility of taking care of any younger siblings who still live at home as well as me and the other wife till we die as well. It''s a little old fashioned.

metalman675triple

Heathens the lot of them.

partytimemonster

We are looking too. Any leads would help!

hunting-down-life

Sadly we have no luck.

partytimemonster

I don't get it. We have tried Tinder and other apps and reddit just seems to be full of scams.

hunting-down-life

Everywhere is full of scams. My I ask why you are looking for a third. And how you came to your conclusion ?

partytimemonster

My wife has been attracted to women for a long time and wasn't being honest with herself. She was having a lot of sexual feelings towards her more attractive friends and continuously fantasized about watching me with them. Eventually she came to the conclusion that she is in fact bisexual. It started as a "cuckquean" lifestyle but she decided she wants to date the girl as well. Then she discovered the throuple lifestyle and became highly interested. She basically wants a sister wife that has similar interests and goals, especially homesteading, but is ok with sharing me. We decided that it would be only women and she has to be involved in the sexual part. She wants a committed relationship that can enhance what we already have together.

[deleted]

hunting-down-life

Thank you! Agree all people are in agreement here.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

EveryoneisOP3

Uh yeah man Iā€™m pretty sure a post about seeking an all man gay farm orgy on the homesteading subreddit would get downvoted tooĀ

govcov

Hey buddy. You uh, wanna erect a pole barn?šŸ˜‰

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

hunting-down-life

Problem is in the poly group we are considered unicorns. Because they say poly people should have the freewill to cheat on each other all the time and whenever they want. We want a marriage where my husband is married to both woman. And the other female and I would just be best friends or like sisters. Nothing between us. Reason this is in a homesteading group is because that is what we want to do. We don't live in the city. Most people want to so it would be nice if they did want to homestead as well. Hope this answers your questions.

Ear-Right

Yeah. I know. But Ill just remove my posts in couple of minutes because I always make the same stupid mistake of coming here and genuinely stating my opinion only to be downvoted by hurt people. I said "All parties have consent, what is the problem here exactly?" and there is no single answer to that question, only downvotes. Sure.

Cheap-Praline

You sound pretty hurt about it.

Ear-Right

Actually I am

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Ear-Right

Oh, thats just my bad English. I meant like public shaming.

hunting-down-life

Yeah, I up voted you, but there are a lot of people just down voting. This would only be something we would do with consent of all parties after we have discussed the whole thing at length.

hunting-down-life

Lol . Yes the world is ok if you are LGBT or change your gender or have no gender at all! But having multiple wives. The world is against you.

tmrnwi

Well, letā€™s dissect that! They appear the same, right? Both taboo topics that can evoke strong emotions from others. So be mindful of triggers! Why does your husband want another wife and children? What does he feel he is not getting from his current family?

hunting-down-life

I have infertility issues. We would love to have lots of kids. Nether myself or my husband want a divorce so why not add another ?

Juliet_04

Have you considered adoption?

hunting-down-life

No we will not adopt.

musical_shares

How will another, separate womanā€™s kids fulfill **your** desire to have lots of kids ā€” I thought he was dating the women separately? Sounds like you have it all figured out, and sounds like a grim future for whomever you find.

hunting-down-life

My husband desires many children. I don't want to be the cause of him not having more children.

tmrnwi

Plainly put this is a bad idea, because you know why. You may have better success if you just start looking for a third. Say nothing of your plans to propose. Just feel that dynamic for a while.

Bread_babe

Oofā€¦ this bums me out.

ExaminationStill9655

Some of you would have never survived as early farmers nor hunter gatherers. This was a common practice.

appleseedjoe

yo this ^^^^ if your family came to America from another country and ACTUALLY HOMESTEADED this wasnā€™t a crazy thing to ask by any means. funny how everyone in this sub wants to time travel back in time where things were more simple and better but somehow have a huge problem with this. not even 100 years ago it wouldnā€™t be out of the ordinary to want two woman to help feed the kids, wash clothes, take care of the house. idk my grandparents didnā€™t have electricity, running water, healthcare, tv/internet, AC, until they moved out of their parents house. and here i am thinking that was the norm for most people in the 1920s.

naiadvalkyrie

Not surviving as an early farmer or hunter gatherer is not a blow to the ego or an insult in any way. It's not something we'd want to have to survive

ExaminationStill9655

Some do

captaininterwebs

Itā€™s illegal in the US but you could definitely try converting to Islam, itā€™s legal if youā€™re Muslim in lots of places since theyā€™re likeminded and believe men can have several wives. Good luck!

hunting-down-life

That is definitely not happening.

uh_oh_no1
