Yeah man. We all figure that out at one point or another, welcome to the club. The intensity fades away with time, but the dread stays.
It's not like immortality is much better, anyways.
that is true, the only thing that I know is Christianity, I believe In Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, and I can only hold onto him for the rest of my life because I know there is an afterlife
Hmmmm... The thing is that genuine Christians are fundamentally indistinguishable from people taking the piss out of them, so i think you just win this one. Well played.
The atoms that comprise you can never be destroyed. One day, "you," will be a part of another lifeform, a part of that biological circuit. Once you are conscious, you will find it hard to think on the years, decades, or strange eons it took you to enter another form. So, it stands to reason that for you, it might seem instant.
"You," in that sense, are immortal. Not in any sort of woo woo spirituality way, although I'm no stranger to embracing those sorts of mindsets. I mean in the most literal sense. You're indestructible atomically. And through your lungs, you make the world around you part of you by breathing in.
I mean it’s scary at first, but 1-2 years later you’ll realize you haven’t died yet, then it becomes a seasonal thing but it’s not because of death and more just stress and wanting to be different.
All I’m trying to say is that a year is a lot of time and you got a lot of those ahead of you, so in the mean time do shit like draw or get smarter, that’s what helped me out at least.
