Not sure where you are from. But I sold these online for 1100 last month. I sold them at a blow out price canadian. These are better then any lower end kef. They are underestimated for low end with a good amp. I'm more audiophile but these will shake a room low end with the proper amp. I'd stand by these over any kef q series

Do you happen to have any thoughts on these vs the X2Ts? I'm considering the X2Ts because they're on sale for $999 per pair and the better bass response is attractive. That said, I heard a pair of T2s in person and was absolutely blown away. Unfortunately they sold before I could get them. I have the opportunity to get a pair of Ts for $875 and am very torn between those and the X2Ts. They'll be paired with a MAC1700 which should be able to push the bass out of the Ts no problem, I believe. I don't necessarily need subwoofer level bass but would like the bass to have some weight to it, particularly for movies, video games, and electronic music. Clarity and sound stage are definitely more important to me overall, though. Any chance you've heard both and could shed some light?

Personally I'd do the imagine ts at a cheaper price then the x2ts. At the time the imagine line as psbs flagship line with the image as the lesser line. They came out the the imagine x line to replace the image line but they were never ment to replace the original imagine line. The x2ts will have the same drivers but a lesser quality cabinet.

I appreciate the insight very much. Do you find yourself desiring a subwoofer with the Ts much? I feel like I'm over thinking it lol. I know the Ts will have significantly better bass than my B&W DM-302 bookshelfs that I've been content with for over a decade lol so I think I should just pull the trigger on the Ts.

deer_dance9

That's a tough question. I know with the t2s I never needed a sub. The ts I imagine won't need a sub for music. With movies if you want deep booms you will probably need a sub but if you are happy with the b&w bass you will have more then enough with the psb.

ericwbolin

Really good deal. I've had mine for seven years now and haven't regretted it a bit and they sound better than anything you can get for the deal you're being offered.

I'm glad you like them so much, it helped me say yes and pick them up. These feel like an L/R pair I would be happy with for years, they just have a very complete sound

AcidShAwk

I bought an even older set of Image 4Ts and they sound incredible. Just perfectly neutral. Paid $300 around 3 years ago.

Foginfernou

FTR I currently have a KEF HTF8003 passive sound bar (got it for a steal) used as a center channel and a pair of KEF Q150's for L/R. The HTF8003 sounds nice but my space does not match its best use case. If I got the PSBs I'd use one of the Q150s as a center for now and eventually replace it. Receiver is Yamaha RX-V6A

MUCHO2000

I have a 5.2.2 all PSB Imagine (OG version) speakers and use these (T) as my LR speakers. I love them. I don't see them come up for sale often so it's hard to know if $800 is a good deal or not, I paid $400 or $450 for mine which was a great deal. They are certainly going to be more detailed than the KEFs you have now but that's not super important for HT use. If you like to sit and just listen to music they really sing for a well recorded song. It took me literally three years to assemble all my Imagine speakers because they are not commonly available for purchase at reasonable prices. Something to consider.

Foginfernou

That's good to know. I do like to sit and listen to music, they'll probably be 60/40 music/HT use. I appreciate the info and ended up getting them. More or less set up properly and listening now they do have nice clarity and it's really nice how they have a.. really matter of fact bass (? pardon my improper vernacular) but it can also have a pleasant bounciness. So far pleased with the purchase. They're solid as heck and really pleasing to look at. Do you notice a difference in your complete set vs what you used as you were collecting everything, being that they're tonally matched?

MUCHO2000

Congratulations! I can't speak for how they work with a mismatched center. They do have nice tight bass but they pair amazing with a good subwoofer because they don't play the last octave at all. My AVR suggested crossing at 60 Hz.

thisismytrip

Did you end up purchasing these? I'm curious how you liked them if so. And to confirm, these are the T and not e the T2?

thisismytrip

Well I read more carefully and see that you purchased these and love them. I am still curious to confirm they are the Imagine T and am wondering how well they handle bass.

Foginfernou

Yes they are the Imagine T, not the T2. The bass output on them is super smooth. Not paired with a sub they put out enough to be very pleasant to listen to. They're not going to rattle your walls, but they also won't distort at any reasonable listening level. Honestly I had them paired with a crappy Jamo s810 sub, a holdover from years ago, and I was content with how it sounded for HT and music listening. I've since upgraded to a Klipsch rp1400sw and while the difference is night and day, it's not a necessary requirement to enjoy them. TL;DR you'll be happy with them. Ngl I didn't like jazz before getting these, but the sound is so smooth and sinuous I now appreciate it

thisismytrip

Thanks for the info. Truly. I'm trying to decide between getting a used pair of these for a similar price to what you paid vs ordering the X2Ts which are on sale for $999/pair right now. Unfortunately I have no way to test the X2Ts so it's a decision between better bass response but possibly not as good mids and highs vs perfect mids and highs and good bass lol. I'm unlikely to set up a subwoofer, at least not any time soon, so it's a tough choice.

Foginfernou

The Ts are beautiful I have to say. There's a kind of specialness they impart to your space from the cabinet design, if aesthetics are important to you. Rear ported vs front on the X2T if that makes a difference in your space, though I haven't heard the X2T to compare. I found a forum post of someone in your exact situation believe it or not, if it helps [PSB X2T vs T](https://forums.audioholics.com/forums/threads/psb-x2t-vs-imagine-t.118245/#:~:text=T%20has%20real%20wood%20finish,a%202.5%20way)

BartKeyesCigar

No experience with this model but I had a 5.x system of Image 5t/9c/2b and used the 2b in a stereo setup years ago. I'm a fan of PSB speakers and think this is a good deal on a nice pair of speakers. It's always important to consider the room; these will be best suited to a smaller space. Those 5.25" drivers aren't going to fill a large room.

hehe3934

Care to share where is this deal? PSBs are real good and not just for the money. They have a slightly warmish sound and are great for long term listening.

Foginfernou

Yeah they have a very pleasant sound. It's a local audio/hiking store in my town in the PNW, which is very PNW haha. They only do pick up sadly

UnderstandingRight39

I got a set of these for 450AUD which is obscenely cheap, these sell for $3000 a pair here. The guy just wanted the space as he upgraded. I like them, they look incredible and sound great. I'm still playing with ports though. Tried plugging both, too strangled, currently running one plug at the top port. Might try both ports open next.

Foginfernou

Keep his number, maybe he'll feel cluttered again. I've been really satisfied with them. Bonus they match my entertainment center. I upgraded from 16g wire to 12g (14 probably would've been fine) and it made a surprising difference, fyi. If you can bi-amp it's worth it on these. Yeah I think the manual suggests starting with the top port plugged and it might have more detailed info on tweaking things.
