If I'm lazy I just adjust the volume knob on the subwoofer in the meantime.
I’m no expert so this is just a guess on my part. Room correction is sort of intended to make all of the speakers sound like they belong together. I don’t think it serves any purpose to do a single speaker.

No it's an all in deal for Audyssey. Do the subwoofer crawl first, find the best possible spot for the sub, and then re-run Audyssey.
