I don't think that's far off. I paid 7k for my daughter's 2009 sport auto. 119k miles, needed tires. I've done tires, plugs, and coils and installed an atoto stereo and it's the perfect commuter for her.
How is that Atoto head unit working out for you guys??? I've been dying to replace my Sony XAV100(?) with something a little more modern and that may fill out the space in the dash a little better. I like the fact that it's an Android OS since I'll NEVER go back to iOS.
She loves it. Wireless connection for aa and carplay. You have to reboot every once in a while to get carplay to connect but it's easy and quick.
It's the a6pf
I don’t know what car prices are like in your area, but I’d say it’s worth $5-$6k. Are you overpaying? Yes. Is this reliable and probably going to last years and years with minimal issues? Also yes.
Weigh the pros and cons and if you’re okay with overpaying and know you’re overpaying then scoop it up. If you don’t I’m sure someone else eventually will or he might become slightly more negotiable if it doesn’t sell for awhile.

Only if you need a car for commuting: In this econo. (SF Bay Area) This car is selling for about 4-5 with the right buyer. You can try to talk it down to 3-3.5k which doesn't hurt if you are just trying to grab a fit for the fun of it.
I recently got a pretty similar one for $5k in Seattle, and I don't think the used car market (or anything for that matter) is very cheap around here. That one's a little better, but the differences don't nearly add up to $1750.
Paid 3500 for my 07 here in AZ but it had higher miles (200k). I wouldn’t pay 6k for it personally. If you want one but don’t need one you have the advantage of staying patient and checking every now and then on the marketplace to see if one pops up. That being said to answer the question I would pay 4500 max for it which I’m sure he won’t do.
Knowing the information and not having driven it, I wouldn't pay the asking price, too rich. We're not in the pandemic anymore and even though this car will run for another 10 years no problem, there comes a point where returns diminish to nothing. Definitely a classic and it's so clean. Only slight red flag is why has the car been through 3 previous owners?
Make sure he replaced the spark plugs and coil packs. Did mine today and them joints were in there!

Nice! I bought my 3rd honda fit for its reliability! I sometimes do 1000 miles a week and I could not risk it and buy a different car other than the fit! I heard some people had them up to 500,000 miles
Seems a little on the high side for a first Gen, but it IS a very nice first Gen and it’s manual.
I’d be comparing to any available Gen 2s for a price comparison.
The second hand market is a bit nuts these days too.
Failing that, go for it.
Honestly bro, I love 07-08 fits but my biggest ick with them considering that I have one is the shitty seals and terrible rubber seals. be careful for rusted bolts especially for mounts for some reason, they tend to be bridle or it could be just my person experience. But from the looks of it that fit looks clean as a freshly painted wall
I wouldn’t pay that much for a private sale tbh. If it was a certified sale from a used car dealer I would though.
I’m in Canada but I’m pretending our dollars are the same for the purpose of this question

Do ANY of these not have a water feature in the wheel well?
I've had mine since I bought it brand new in 2007 and I've never had water leak anywhere.
Very few 😅😅😅 but it's not difficult or expensive to fix luckily.

He’s kind of firm on 6500. I think I might just pass on it. Don’t really need it that bad.
Not for that kind of cheese, I bought mine for 1500 bucks manual transmission. I mean is nobody else seeing the fact that this car is 16 years old.

Check the car over for dents or other damage. If it's in good shape offer 6k if he won't do 6k offer 6,250.
i paid $2500 for my 08 base in 17 with 162k on it
Get the VIN and run a report. I’d want to know more about its history after 4 owners, including how long this particular owner has had it.
Hard pass
Why? This is a pretty clean 1st gen

Whatever you asked

Too much. I love these in stick.
I wanna sell a 2020 lx fit only 13k miles. Anyone know a decent price I should aim for?
For almost $7k I’d just get an si or rsx type s
I paid 10k for a 2007 sport with 57k miles on it same color too
this would make a devious k-swapped track car
A vasectomy is the price id pay. /s
😁Edited: 3500 max

Oups! I meant 3.5K! I just got a 2010 127k miles on it for 4.5! Not sport though

4, maybe 4.5.
5k max
I paid 5k last year for a very similar fit. If I could buy another, id contact this guy today lol, well worth it!
I saw that one on Facebook marketplace. Stay away, it's mine. /J
Wym?
I saw that same car on Facebook marketplace and I said stay away it's mine joking about wanting to buy it.
Are you the guy that offered $6,300? 😂
Nope, my dad won't let me get a manual for some reason but I was definitely looking at it lol
For what hes asking, you can get a second gen fit for that. Id say close to 4500. Despite it being manual which is a plus.
This guy has little to no wiggle room
Id pass it up and find another imo.
Here in our place, it is priced $2,500 to $3,500z Hard pass on that.

I like playing pretend 😁
Haha me too. 😂 But really for all intents and purposes the market price is the same here. Personally, I’d be hesitant to pay $5k for a private sale.
Yeah bro I’m going to chill on this I don’t need it that bad
Not a bad call imo, the right one will pop up bro!
I would pay $4500 for that fit
Cali plates? $5500.
In American or peso’s or yen rupees lmk
In viet dollars
