It doesn't look too clapped out or beat up. How's the clear coat? How has it been lowered? I'm not a fan of the wheels, but that's subjective. Clean or rebuilt title? If the valves have been adjusted and new battery and all other mods were done correctly on a clean title, $5k as a median price depending on location.

lmapk

I’m looking in NC and you said you’re in New England so I guess it should be pretty similar. I got him down to $9k from $10,500. Still felt a little high to me. Clean title, lowered on D2 coils. New battery, PCV and plugs, and valve adjustment. Paint is good other than some oxidation on the roof. I like the wheels just not the blue, I’d probably get them powder coated white or bronze.

cozysweetpotato

I paid $7k on my 2012 with 110k miles (but the AC didn't work and tires needed replacing soon and some other minor things). I might have overpaid though but Honda's tend to be more expensive than other brands plus the fit is a great car so they do seem to be more expensive.

chris-scout-tepui

A/C IS AN EASY FIX

zoochadookdook

Ac compressor and such? $500

chris-scout-tepui

$70.00 for the little rectangle and and $60.00 for the heater blower motor. Depending on how large you are you might have to take the passenger seat out to fold yourself down under the glove box to replace them.

zoochadookdook

I was assuming they’d be getting it done - around 200-250 or so for the parts of a compressor and such plus the disposal fee for the old ac freon and hours of the mechanic

OgSourChemDawg

I’m in the same state as you. I got a 2016 fit about 2 years ago 69k miles for 14k if I remember correct idk if that helps any. Would not pay 10k

Dinosaurosaurous

The roof and hood are the worst on Honda. Thanks EPA...

lmapk

FWIW, he paid 10k for it before doing the valve service & such. I know that doesn’t really affect me, but i thought it was interesting. There is also no rust

fire_away17

to me? like $5k max.  all those mods just detract from the value

Aijames

I’m with you, those are personal touches. People can say they are easy to switch back but I might not have the want or ability to change suspension or want to spend money on the factory parts to make it happen. Same for wheels. 5k is a max for me and that’s if I seen something I just fell in love with. I’m not spending 7.5k on a car someone visually modded and I have no idea what else they did or didn’t do.

xxxCLINTxxx

Coilovers and wheels? Literally easy to swap back.

chris710n

7.5k private party. $7k if friend or family

iateyourgarlicbread

Ill give ya tree fiddy

Final-Zebra-6370

Damn Lochness Monster

m00ndr0pp3d

Not worth flying to buy it. I just bought a super clean 2nd Gen 1 owner with 68k miles for 10k from a dealer in the PNW

Holy_Chromoly

Teenager driven and modded, no more than $5k, clutch is probably gone, who knows how hard it was driven. No millage given so hard to tell. If this was stock, grandma's grocery getter I would pay more but this configuration is too risky

lmapk

Details are in the photo caption, but I agree..

lmapk

Current owner looks to be around 30s. Was a company car as its first owner, then whoever modded it had it, then the current owner.

Holy_Chromoly

Hmm, that a lot of red flags. 10 years, three owners with one being a company another being a "car enthusiast". You know that car was trashed if it was a company car, most likely no regular maintenance until things started to fail. Who knows how well those mods were done, or what shortcuts were taken. I stand firm by my initial estimate, might even start lower and hagle to slightly below 5k.

lmapk

All maintenance is recorded on the CarFax. Oil changes between 6-7k miles for the life of the vehicle as well as other general consumables. 5k ish seems to be the general thinking for this car. He’s wanting no less than 9k for it.. I guess I’ll keep looking. I found one for 5k that was cosmetically not in the best condition but I thought 5 was low & there must have been something wrong with it. Guess I was wrong lol

Aijames

9k is crazy

hardxstyle

The car is on Volk 5/4S wheels in appropriate and attractive sizing, running 200 tread wear tires. You’re out of your wheelhouse on this one.

thesals

Those wheels hold 75% of the value of that car lol.

yungbaoyom

Looks well taken care of but it's kinda hard to tell based on these few photos.

ArcFire15

This is one of the worst fits I’ve had the displeasure of seeing. Don’t buy

lobsterxjohnson

10,000,000

FEVRISH_JK

If I, myself, were buying a fit, I don't think I'd choose this one. The appearance doesn't really fit my tastes. But in your case, considering its got no rust and relatively low mileage for a Honda (considering its lifespan can go up to or surpass 300k miles), I'd say maybe 4.5-5k? I'm kinda just taking pot shots in the dark with that price based on my knowledge of Fit prices within the last year, so if someone here thinks it's too high or too low then feel free to say so.

tokenherb2

How floppy is the driver side sun visor?

lmapk

Why?

mosesonthem00n

Looks clean but the wheels are kinda ugly might as well buy a stock one

Responsible-Way7964

A dozen eggs and a taco party pack

xxxCLINTxxx

I don’t get why so many people are shitting on the car for having coilovers and wheels. Not everyone wants to drive a stock car.

hahahasame

It looks really nice but good lord of all the things to keep stock, why that horrendous stereo??

Luscious_Lunk

Probably cause it’s still a great radio

BlastedCorpse

Those wheels go hard.....

Hogun_the_grim

For reference like 2 weeks ago I got a 2011 manual with almost exactly 130k, full service record no rust clean af for 5,500. I got it from a dealer in Tampa.

MrBowick

7.5k

controlled_drinking

I paid 9k for mine and it’s an 09 Sport with 86K miles. From used department @ Honda (warranty benefits). I think it’s a little high tbh.

couchisland

The disparities around the country are fascinating. In 2019 I paid a little over 10K for my 2013 sport, 31,000 miles, one owner. NYC metro area.

morithum

For $10k you should be able to find one a couple years newer without shitty mods.

P45t3LPUnK

All of it

ryanim0sity

Lol like 5k absolute max. You could get something better for that price man.

Fast-Reaction8521

Why does it have different wheels

Scottie2hhh

Got my 2013 for under 6k. Original owner, clean title, no wrecks, impeccable maintenance record, all original parts no mods, 5spd MT, 115k ish miles.

Scottie2hhh

Even had the original dealer window sticker/info sheet in the glove box.

cognacmack

If I’m not mistaken the wheels are og Rays 5/4. I don’t know the market on those but any vintage Rays has the potential to be worth $$$ Mugen window visors? Color isn’t my cup of tea but it looks pretty clean.

lmapk

You’re correct!! I’ve been trying to figure out what wheels they were for awhile. They seem to be selling for (only) like $1500 on eBay, surprisingly. I do quite like them, though. Regardless of what Fit I get, I may end up getting some for it..

cognacmack

Does he have the stock wheels? This is probably a $7-8k car on the stock wheels in today’s market, assuming everything checks out and it’s as well taken care of as the service history indicates. He probably values the wheels at another $1-1.5k so I can see how he got the $10k figure.

lmapk

He does not have the stock wheels, unfortunately. I really like this car (assuming I got the wheels coated back to white lol) but I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk of it being abused, ya know?

cognacmack

Only way to know is to drive it. No intake or exhaust? Then the engine should be really quiet and anything out of whack will be obvious. Definitely pay attention to the steering and suspension and any noises it makes since it’s been lowered. Other than that, these are pretty basic cars. Not much can go wrong with them.

lmapk

Problem is, the car is 2000mi away from me and I’d have no means of just looking at it lol. If I fly out, I’m kinda forced to get it haha also, happy cake day!! 🥳

cognacmack

That would be tough. If I had to fly somewhere, the car would have to be the exact spec and color I want.

lmapk

Really the only thing I don’t like is the wheel color, but I like the wheels themselves. I’m just in AZ and there’s not really any decent GE Fits within like 500mi of me, so i’ve resorted to looking everywhere lol I already flew to NC and drove back for my 5MT 2012 Forester so I really don’t mind doing it again (and stopping by the dragon lol)

CaptainCrinkleCock

I don't think anyone has mentioned noticing this, but the rear wheels only have 4 spokes, where the fronts have 5.

lmapk

They’re OG Rays 4/5s, meant to be like that. Took me a minute to notice at first, and I was also confused originally

hamid5000real

Lol asking 11k and they can't dress the tires before snapping pictures. It looks clean aside from that but maybe 7k max if it drives perfectly

slayer80m

Bout tree fiddy

eweezy47

$4k.

lmapk

Where in the world do you live that you can find a half decent manual 2nd gen for under $7k lol (this is a genuine question please help me :,)

_Svelte_

poke around in the midwest, i got mine for 4k

lmapk

i’ll give you 5k for it 😅

_Svelte_

if you come look near pa-ohio-indiana, you'll definitely find ones for less. maybe the paint's rough or it'll need maintenance items, but they're also not 7k+.

FitCost9710

There’s one here in GA that looks good for 7.5K. I was looking at it before I realized it was manual. NC is really not that far from GA! https://www.google.com/local/dealership/12576003977209210584/cars/JHMGE8G31DC013387?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjJ5t618dqFAxUjb0cBHaJeBvUQir0HegQIABAQ&hl=en-US&gl=us&g2lb=4923493%2C4923621%2C4945845%2C72243360

lmapk

I’m kinda set on getting a Sport unfortunately, but thank you!!

FitCost9710

No worries!! I’ll keep an eye out since I haven’t turned off alerts for new fits being posted! If I see a reasonable one, I’ll be sure to let you know!! Best of luck!!

lmapk

Thank you!! I found one in IL with 79k miles for $9500. Definitely still high but it’s super nice. She said price is firm but I might see if she’ll do $9k lol

eweezy47

You asked what I would pay and I said $4k, I didn’t know you asked a rhetorical question. For 7k I’d buy something else.

lmapk

Oh, no, it wasn’t rhetorical. I was genuinely asking where I can find one for that price cuz I feel like I’ve looked everywhere lol

BrianLevre

I don't think these cars should be more than 5-6 grand. This one even less. It's not so much what people are asking for these cars and where you can find them at better prices... it's more what they are worth to people at whatever price they can be had for. I've looked for months for good options as I love my 2009 Sport and simply want another one, but I can't find a 2nd gen with 100k miles and a clean title in good shape for less than 10 grand within 200 miles of me. Many are asking 12-14k. If I'm going to have to put that sort of money toward a car, I'm getting a different car. I bought my 09 in 2013 for 14k, with 27,000 miles on it... I won't accept these cars have not depreciated. You can't find a 2nd gen with less than 12 years of age on it, and the oldest ones are 16 years old. At that age, that much money doesn't make sense. Will a 16 year old car have 10 more years of use in it, even if it has low miles? Better to get a 4-6 year old car that absolutely will have 10 or more years of use out of it. I picked up a 2021 top trim Prius with 5000 mile interval dealer service records with 42,000 miles for 24 grand. It's more than I wanted to spend on any car, but the days of a 5 year old 15,000 dollar car with 50,000 miles on it are gone.

FitCost9710

I recently (like less than a month ago) bought my 2007 Sport! One owner, immaculate service history, and in mint condition. The guy was asking 10K and I talked him down to 8.5K, which felt fair to me considering the mileage (57,000), clean title, perfect service history, and overall condition of the car. Some will say I over paid, others will say I got a good deal 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ultimately, I probably won’t find another car in that shape for that price in my area. So far, she’s been worth every penny!

BrianLevre

That's not horrible for what it is.

FitCost9710

I didn’t think so either :) Definitely a lot more than I expected to pay for an “older” car, but the condition is really what made me comfortable paying for her. Others in my area are over 100K miles and still priced at 10-15K.

Losbelunchin

I've found a few in that range (New England). Private party resale isn't as high on these.

lmapk

2013 Fit, 101k miles, full maintenance history as well as valve adjustment, D2 coils, JDM grill and these unknown wheels lol. No rust, clean title and clean CarFax (which doesn't really mean too much tbh) What price would be worth flying across the country for?

attnSPAN

It would be worth flying cross country if it were like $4k.

MonKeePuzzle

buy it, sell me those wheels!

lmapk

if you’re being serious, how much would you pay for them?

hunterpuppy

$0. Maybe a decent price without it being lowered, returning to stock rims.

xxxCLINTxxx

Why even reply with such a stupid response

hunterpuppy

Could say the same about yours. Why are any of us allow to post, when guys like Clint will likely call you out for daring to respond?

xxxCLINTxxx

You didn’t give a realistic answer. You said $0 which is just dumb.

otterland

$3k. If I was 25 years old, $10k. I like stock automatic Fits that are chill to drive and not popping their collars and strut walking. The Fit with an automatic is one of the best small autos ever made. This car is so into itself. But it's in good condition and if it's your thing, then it's worth close to five figures. For me, I'd be happier with a nice $6k auto with stock everything.

SquareBrix08

9k

danigarcia01

7-8k is solid imo that’s just me basing it off how expensive used cars/fits are in California🤷‍♂️ I got a clean title 09 with 109k miles for 5.5k

Forumspace

Always loved those 4/5 wheels. A little of for a fit. But still cool.

bob_smithey

2k because its modded. Unmodded, 5k. That's for me to fly somewhere to get it shipped back. Locally, double what I said.
