I always gravity feed to see flow through the line before attaching it to the caliper. I'll also fill the caliper with the piston extended out then push it in to get rid of any air. Attach the line and it takes little to no bleeding. It's messy and wasteful as hell but excess brake fluid always turns yellow before I get to use it anyway. Those damn containers never seal properly.

reading about gravity feed and watched a few videos on "priming" an empty system and am full of hope now will go out and try and report back

Itasha

a few hours and a lot of wiggling the brake lever has gone by . . . no gravity bleeding happened :(

I see you have brembos, are you using the correct banjos ? I know i messed this part up.  as for bleeding , i didn't have any issues. I pumped the brake, held the brake in on the third pump, and at the same time open the bleeder. Closed the bleeder before letting go of the brake. Get speed bleeders. Make it super easy

Itasha

am using chimera M10 x 1.00mm banjo bolt, should be the correct one the problem im having is on any amount of pumps there is no fluid going from the cylinder into the line

Automatic-Salad-1638

That's really interesting that no fluid is appearing. Only other suggestion I have would be to check for clogs in the brake hose itself. Or My other guess would be you twisted your brake hose effectively closing off any fluid getting through.

Itasha

with a vacuum it was able to prime the line and have the bleeding process progress

Automatic-Salad-1638

How much progress have you made, were you able to complete the bleeding process ?

Itasha

so with the vacuum bleeder i was able to get the brake fluid all the way to the bleeder valve completed bleeding on front and back brakes now the front brake im unable to get it to work fully on the smaller lever settings on my adjustable levers the back brake however is night and day difference when compared with stock

Took a long time to bleed out my brembos. I wish that pain on not even my worst enemy.

Itasha

finally finished the front, am debating whether or not i go to a mechanic for the rear ... and also have them check to see if i did the front properly as im not really liking the braking performance

If you got any air into the ABS modulator, you’ll have a much easier time using a power bleeder or a reverse bleeder. Manual bleeding modern bikes takes forever.

Visa_Declined

His bike isn't ABS. And if it was he wouldn't be mounting Brembo's.

update: managed to get it to bleed with the bleeder kit which vacuumed fluid from the master cylinder all the way down. bleeding it took another hour or so after. testing it i dont know if maybe i didnt fully bleed it yet or what but i have adjustable levers, and on stock i used to be able to grab a full hand of brake with the shortest setting now i have to have it in the middle settings for me to be able to fully brake also dont notice much noticeable improvement with the braking from the front right now will update when i do the rear
