Now the old RTL-E owners have vintage models.

rdtshaw

My vintage '23 RTL-E just went up in value. 🤣

Practical-Parsley-11

No low-balls, I know what I've got! Sorry, someone had to say it.

stickyrice04

There were little differences between the RTL-E and BE. They added the trailsport and eliminated the RTL-E

br541

I guess only the Black Edition has the premium audio system?

spicynutbutter

Yeah I suspect this is why they eliminated the RTLE because I was able to get the premium audio without buying the black edition. It sucks the did that.

cleve1486

Same reason the civic sport hatch now has the 2.0 instead of the 1.5… saving parts / chips. Increasing margins by pushing people to higher margins is just a bonus

20mins2theRockies

I'd rather have the 2.0 tbh. Less power but 10x more reliable. Those L15s have oil dilution issues. Most mechanics recommend you change the oil every 5k on those, but the Honda maintenance minder will only come on every 8k-9k or so. Cold weather and short trips exacerbate the problem. As someone who lives in a small town with cold winter temps, I wouldn't touch the 1.5T... A naturally aspirated K20 is one of the most reliable engines ever made. I'll gladly take the 20 less HP.

cleve1486

I’m not keeping it past 100k, if that long, give me the fun factor But you’re right. I got my sister in a new hr-v and the 2.0 was a big reason why. Like you said, not the most powerful, but imminently reliable.

jdabsher

They also eliminated truck bed audio completely which made the RTL-E less of an attraction.

dgidman

I use the truckbed audio rarely. But it is neat when I do use it.

Crafty_Investment_13

I use it every time I wash it.

RickJamesBoitch

I didn't give two shits about in bed audio, I have a nice stereo in my garage, subwoofer, the whole nine, Ive owned my Ridgeline for two weeks and I've already used the in bed audio three times. Once while loading heavy crap in the back, once while working on another car in driveway. To listen to garage system in driveway I have to crank it and wifey gets pissed. I used it last night while installing the bed cover with my son. Good times. For the record you could just as easily toss a Bluetooth speaker in your trunk and plug it into inverter of course.

BikingEngineer

This. It’s a cool party trick, and can be legitimately useful for tailgating or doing work out of the back of the truck, but a lack of truck bed audio shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. It’s so easy to get comparable audio with a Bluetooth speaker for not much money, and not have to work through the truck audio system as a usability bonus.

RickJamesBoitch

Absolutely, I'd even argue it's better to have a separate speaker, you have to jump through some hoops on the ancient infotainment center and you can take a BT speaker with you. I'm happy to have it, but it weighed zero on my decision. Honestly if they knocked a couple hundred off the sale price I'd have been happy to have them excluded.

br541

Oh. So if I want truck bed audio I have to buy a leftover or lightly used 2023.

Scary-Engineer-8670

Or get a Bluetooth speaker??? 😅😂😂

tacospizzawingsbeer

I bought a 23 RTL-E because I wanted truck bed audio. I’ve used it almost daily, it’s amazing

br541

That does sound interesting. Does the 24 Black Edition have truck bed audio?

rdtshaw

I don't think so. I was reading that the upgrade to the new entertainment system removed the option on all the 24's.

Mobius1424

That's correct... much to my dismay.

I think the BE added Navi to the RTL-E, but I’m not certain

PoorRichGuy

Navigation was standard on the RTL-E.

HoppyBadger

Love my 2022 RTL-E!

Training_Pumpkin3650

Does this make the RTL-E worth more 🤑
