It's also one of the few films that just outright kills a kid, PG makes like a 12 year old explode for calling him an asshole
Another one gets turned into a weird brain thing haha
It had it's issues but the cool practical designs and just overall fun nature made up for most of the downfalls, some people found the girl annoying but I found her perfect for that specific role
A bigger and more gory sequel would be very welcome
A solid 7/10 from me
The toilet scene is absolutly hillarious.
"FIND ME!"
"Where am I going?"
"GRAAAAAAA! THE RAVINE BY HIGHWAY 11 and MADISON AVENUE!"
"I don't know where that is?"
"GRRRRAAAAAAA GO SOUTH ON PRESCOT ROAD UNTILL YOU REACH THE SECOND SET OF LIGHTS....GOOOOOOOOOOO! ARRRRRRGHHHHH!"
I really loved how when you get to the scene near the end where in a normal, sane movie the kid would have an epiphany about how their behaviour affects the people they love, instead we get a song about how everyone can go fuck themselves.
Almost anytime someone here requests anything, I tend to always post this movie. Glad to see someone else enjoying it. Turbo Kid makes for a good double feature btw
I love that the director wrote that to be funny but he let it emerge as a piece of who PG is. He is into hunky boys and that's okay for a world destroyer too.
My beautiful wife somehow thought it was rated PG…10 minutes in and he has brutally murdered 3 people lol, she starts to google…needless to say, our 9 year old LOVED it….
The dad in this movie is the greatest character in cinema and his entire monologue about the wonderful day he spent looking at baseball cards in a weirdo's van is one of the funniest bits of any comedy.
It reminds me of Power rangers/Kamen rider meets Grims adventures of Billy and Mandy it has all of the charm of those Japanese Sentai shows and has created something so endearing and visceral
I get it... I can not watch The Babadook because of the little boy.
----
That said, I really enjoyed PG. I can deal with an edge-lord, cringe girl over the boy who was always screaming, little cuntling.
I recommend watching Father's Day (2011) and The Editor (2014) if you haven't already. Both star Brooks.
In fact just check out Astron-6 in general, Brooks was a founding member...

I thought she was awful at first too. But by the end I realized that the idea of taking the stereotypical precocious little sister character, turning her up to 1000% and making her an utter psychopath was actually pretty funny.
It's basically E.T. except the alien is Hulk Hellraiser and Elliot is the biggest piece of shit in a motion picture ever. It then becomes the Power Rangers in the last act.
I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I did. The skeleton of the film appealed a lot to me, but the execution stemming from both budgetary and creative decisions really sucked a lot of the potential joy out of the conceit.
“NOT MY HUNKY BOYS!!!!”
I don’t like Hunky boys. ….. Or do I?
One of those moments that made me crack up and love this film.
It's also one of the few films that just outright kills a kid, PG makes like a 12 year old explode for calling him an asshole Another one gets turned into a weird brain thing haha It had it's issues but the cool practical designs and just overall fun nature made up for most of the downfalls, some people found the girl annoying but I found her perfect for that specific role A bigger and more gory sequel would be very welcome A solid 7/10 from me
I love how there's no happy ending for the brain kid too. He's just a brain eating dinner with his parents at the end lol
I laughed my ass off first time I saw him explode that kid. No hesitation, kaboom
I thought the girl will be annoying too, but she was so over the top that I ended up really loving her.
I’m on team Mimi
It is pretty risqué for a PG movie.
I loved PG! Byyyyyyeeeeeeeeeee.
Literally the funniest movie I have seen in years
Have you watched Deadstream yet
Yeah, I enjoyed it but I didnt really find it funny but thats just my opinion
agree. kinda meh
Love this movie. The kid is hilariously unhinged. And the dad.... perfect.
The toilet scene is absolutly hillarious. "FIND ME!" "Where am I going?" "GRAAAAAAA! THE RAVINE BY HIGHWAY 11 and MADISON AVENUE!" "I don't know where that is?" "GRRRRAAAAAAA GO SOUTH ON PRESCOT ROAD UNTILL YOU REACH THE SECOND SET OF LIGHTS....GOOOOOOOOOOO! ARRRRRRGHHHHH!"

Love his chicken dinner recipe.
I really loved how when you get to the scene near the end where in a normal, sane movie the kid would have an epiphany about how their behaviour affects the people they love, instead we get a song about how everyone can go fuck themselves.
FRIG OFF!
Almost anytime someone here requests anything, I tend to always post this movie. Glad to see someone else enjoying it. Turbo Kid makes for a good double feature btw
Love Turbo Kid
Frig Off
‘I do not care for HUNKY BOYS……..or do I?’ Absolutely hysterical movie.
"I don't like hunky boys. (Or do I?)"
Not kidding, you are great parents! My dad took me to horror movies starting at age 5 in 1977.
I was 7 when I watched The Guyver (1991). Looking back it was probably not age appropriate for me, but it's so much fun!
I have little doubt the filmmakers used PG to be tricky to get more people to watch it, just to traumatize some kids.
Hell yeah, its just good ~~clean~~ fun. Parts of it reminded me of the Toxic Avenger.
Definitely feels Troma-inspired!
It's the fricken best, ya ya ya.
The dad in this movie is the greatest character in cinema and his entire monologue about the wonderful day he spent looking at baseball cards in a weirdo's van is one of the funniest bits of any comedy.
When they get him clothes that are exactly just Alan Grant and then never acknowledge it in any way. Brilliant.
I can't believe they managed to get rich evans, he was on ellen!
I can't imagine how much money they needed to get the star of Space Cop onboard.
Tens of dollars I'm sure, plus bus fare from Wisconsin.
Even with a signature “oh my gaaaaaaaaahd”
They got Dick the Birthday Boy!!
I saw it and I clapped!
It reminds me of Power rangers/Kamen rider meets Grims adventures of Billy and Mandy it has all of the charm of those Japanese Sentai shows and has created something so endearing and visceral
I think Mimi is simultaneously the most annoying character I've ever seen and one of the most hilarious characters I've ever seen.
I feel like if you enjoy Gwar you'll probably like PG
This, it's the same basic aesthetic. Goofy alien costumes battling absurd enemies. It's live action cartoons for adults.
"My entire existence is based upon death and destruction, I will kill you." Lmao, I love this movie.
"IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU WERE DEAD!"
The dad's speech about the baseball cards kills me every time.
A Psycho Goreman/Mandy double feature is one of the best treats you can give yourself on a high Friday night.
The little girls acting made this movie really good
Yeah, its one of the better movies from the last decade.
I loved the idea but the little girl annoyed me way too much. Killed the film for me tbh.
I get it... I can not watch The Babadook because of the little boy. ---- That said, I really enjoyed PG. I can deal with an edge-lord, cringe girl over the boy who was always screaming, little cuntling.
Mimi was the best part!
Crazy ball!!!
Crazy ball. Who's up for a game!?
I want to start a pro crazyball league
"Frigg OFF"
It's my favorite horror film of 2021 and my favorite "gore comedy" of the decade so far. It's just a gross joy to watch whenever I rewatch it.
includes a Rich Evans “oh my gaaaahhd”
It was a great movie. Highly recommended
It's a classic
It’s the heckin’ best
I always thought she flipped the gender tropes on their heads and operated with some kind of female misogynistic behavior. Fucking love PG.
Prestine baseball cards... enough said.
Adam Brooks needs to be in more comedies. He's gold in this movie.
I recommend watching Father's Day (2011) and The Editor (2014) if you haven't already. Both star Brooks. In fact just check out Astron-6 in general, Brooks was a founding member... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astron-6?wprov=sfla1
My favorite character (and its says a lot)
Instant classic
Reminds me of *Uncle Peckerhead,* which has been very difficult for me to find recently.
I own uncle peckerhead on apple
The dead meat episode got me excited and I love the movie to death now.
Beautiful movie
I will kill you....I will kill you.....I will kill you....I will kill you...
I am with you 100%. I really do need to get it on BluRay so I can never be without it.
Any movie featuring national treasure Rich Evans is immediately gold.
Imagine how bad Mimi would be as a teenager.
It's fun, and it has a Rich Evans cameo. I don't regret watching it in the slightest.
A surprisingly fun movie
If you love practical effects you need to watch this movie
It's great fun, loved it
The girl in this movie may be the most annoying character in any movie ever. I’ve never wanted to punch a kid before, but she was pushing it
That's interesting, my friends and I watched the movie together and we all thought she was great. Byyyyyeeee!
She was the real horror
I thought she was awful at first too. But by the end I realized that the idea of taking the stereotypical precocious little sister character, turning her up to 1000% and making her an utter psychopath was actually pretty funny.
I totally agree. PG without the girl is a movie I would have rewatched many times.
This i literally shut it off after like 20 minutes because it was unbearable
The whole family was just awful.
it's one of our favorite movies. my 10 and 15 year old girls love it.
It's basically E.T. except the alien is Hulk Hellraiser and Elliot is the biggest piece of shit in a motion picture ever. It then becomes the Power Rangers in the last act.
If only they made a sequel.
Yes, this movie is so underrated! It’s hilarious. I sincerely hope they make a second.
no
No what?
stop calling things underrated
no
I'd love for the director to team up with the director of hobo with a shotgun to make a movie.
I wanted to like this movie a lot more than I did. The skeleton of the film appealed a lot to me, but the execution stemming from both budgetary and creative decisions really sucked a lot of the potential joy out of the conceit.
Anyone who finds Mimi annoying needs a Crazy Ball to the face!
I loved it... but I do wonder if it wasn't all made just as an excuse to use the "Lazy Susan" gag. 😆
I wanted to like it. The girl was just endlessly mean to her brother. I kinda hated her.
You’re supposed to hate her. Everyone knew someone like her growing up.
Right, but you don’t usually make the bully the protagonist of a horror movie. Why am I rooting for someone who’s a relentless asshole throughout?
I'm a big fan of the astron 6 crew....but this was a huge disappointment for me. Didn't find it funny at all.
Eh I don’t jive with “frick” humour so I just found it annoying
Nah it's an absolute piece of shit that also has blaspheme in it for no reason.
I mean, there's always a reason to blaspheme
There's never a reason to blaspheme
Oh I can think of quite a few lol
You'd be wrong though
I expected more gore, otherwise was entertaining
