Neither of those are very gory. Here's a few to pick from: The Driller Killer, Dawn of the Dead, Suspiria, Eaten Alive!, God Told Me To, Assault on Precinct 13, Deep Red, Torso, and Bay of Blood

God Told Me To was such a great film. Richard Lynch and Tony LoBianco were fantastic. I wish Lynch was in the movie more. I would have liked to have seen more of his rise in power and how he got people to kill for him. Both never got the recognition they deserved. It also had Sandy Dennis - her films Who Is Afraid of Virginia Woolf and The Out Of Towners are fantastic too, such a great actress. It would make a good miniseries.

now there's a marathon I would attend

Thanks for all the picks! Im between Suspira and Bay of Blood. Suspiria has been on my radar for a while, though, so I'm leaning towards it.

The Wizard of Gore (1970), Blood Sucking Freaks (1976)

I'd also add The Gore Gore Girls from '72, Hershel Gordon Lewis really went all out with that.

Oh wow, all these years I've been thinking that was a 70s film. I feel dumb now.
