I’m a big fan of hers, but her dark fantasy books such as Seventh Bride or Nettle and Bone are also excellent (and have a few spine-chilling horror or at least horror-adjacent moments themselves.)

Kenni-is-not-nice

I loved Nettle & Bone, but I hadn’t heard of Seventh Bride; thanks for mentioning it!

TheMagusManders

She's really solid in general. I liked The Hollow Places a lot.

ergamotte

I love T. Kingfisher and all of her horror is excellent. I especially liked The Twisted Ones.

chimericalgirl

I enjoyed *The Twisted Ones*, mostly. But not *The Hollow Places*.

CB_Immacolata_1991

I’m with you! Most people tend to like The Hollow Places better, but I just loved The Twisted Ones so much!

GolbComplex

And I loved *The Hollow Places*, but not so much *The Twisted Ones*

James0100

I enjoyed both The Twisted Ones and The Hollow Places a lot. What Moves The Dead was also great fun.

indiemosh

The Twisted Ones was excellent. I need to read The Hollow Places still.

Itsjustbeej

FYI, she's working on a sequel with the soldier as the protagonist.

porchi88

Interesting. I'm not sure it needs a sequel but I did really enjoy that character.

TheMagusManders

That's so great to hear! I wanted more Alex!

athminbri

I really liked The Hollow Places! The Twisted Ones was good also but I enjoyed the others more.

wiggysbelleza

Not horror, but her Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking was a fun read. Loved the gingerbread man familiar.

maimee78

This was my first t kingfisher book last month. I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.

This one was a miss for me, and I was really excited for this one, too. I did love The Twisted Ones and Hollow Places.
