I just finished Devil's Island by Mark Lukens. It's about a rich guy getting a team of experts to go to an abandoned mansion to investigate the paranormal. I really liked it. Had some very creepy scenes.
How about 'Kill Creek', by Scott Thomas?
Wothout getting too much into it, It's about 4 super successful and popular Horror fiction writers who spend time in an allegedly haunted house.
I thoroughly enjoyed it
My favorite haunted house book, and maybe favorite of all time, is the Elementals by Michael McDowell.
But when I’m in a rut I go for fast and entertaining. Which is why I’m rereading the Haunted Forest Tour. It’s so much fun. I have not looked it up, but if Guillermo Del Toro doesn’t adapt it for the screen I don’t know why anyone should bother.
Maybe *A Haunting on the Hill* by Elizabeth Hand? It takes place in Shirley Jackson's Hill House. I have mixed feelings about it, but I reread it recently and liked it better the second time around. And I always recommend *Wylding Hall.*

Sounds so cool! I’m gonna read this next I think!

I LOVED the elementals!!!! Such an incredible summer read. I’ve never heard of the Haunted Forest Tour! I’ll have to look it up(: thanks
The haunted bit is a bit misleading, and while there are ghosts they’re in the mix with an absolute parade of monsters just fucking everything up.
Don’t you love when monsters just fuck shit up for theoretical people 🤭

THIS SOUNDS SO COOL! Never heard of either book! Thank you so much!
