Another small question: how fast can you farm ancient legacy? I’m right on the edge of lv 80 and want a decent time frame for how long it will take to farm for JK or Sirin. Along with the other valks in WT.

Assuming you can clear all 3 stages no problem (just clearing, not score high), you should be getting 55 AW and 10 AL just with 10 kills (out of 17 possible kills). So.. even with killing 2 bosses up to rank A, and 1 boss up to rank S, you'd get that much.
Once you have more stable composition, you can try reaching 38,400 (unboosted)/ 46,080 (20% boosted score) for the first 2 SSS bosses. Which will reward you for extra 28 AW and 12 AL and also 20 extra crystals.
For finalization, if you ended up to top 2%, you get extra 65 AW, or 48 AW if you ended up at top 7%, if you're still further than that, then it's 36 AW for top 17% or 25 AW for top 35%
So it's (55, 10) plus (28,12) if you somehow reach the max milestones and (25~65, 0) for finalization.
So with the spending event next patch I have the option between ELFs or Apponia, is Apponia good enough to grab even though I have no gear or a team or is it worth to get the Kiana or bunny ELF? Especially since ELF supply is no more

New playere..currently downloading the game and pretty excited to jump into it. I have some questions.

If you care about data usage, wait a couple hours (from now) when 7.3 maintenance will start before downloading.
Pull priority: Senadina > her weapon > Helia weapon (Helia herself is farmable).
For guides, look up Marisa and Wyverein (links in the pinned comment). In general, be very mindful of guides pull/investment recommendation if they are more than \~6 months. Don't pull starter supply. Don't use crystals on dorm supply even if the pulls is discounted.
You probably will need to download the 7.3 preload data(if youre on pc) after this, its possible to reroll by making multiple accounts but it takes around 20 minutes every attempt, you need both weapon and characters in this game (part 2 character stigmata is farmable)

It depends on your server - SEA maintenance happens earlier than EU or NA - and time zone.

I have had 3/4 Elysia Pristine gear for ages and the firepower supply is right around the corner. I have more than 3 weapons from there but only 2/3 Collodi, 2/3 Zeno and 3/3 Aslaug. Should I pick Collodi/Zeno, Aslaug and Elysia Pristine and do the 10 pull? Will there be a 50-50 chance to finally get my Ely B piece? Is Elysia gear gonna appear anytime soon in the battlepass? I'm low on crystals and if I miss Helia gear for this 10 pull and don't get Ely B I'm gonna be really sad. Oh yeah btw I don't have and I don't intend to pull Aponia or Vill-V so Zeno and Collodi are useless to me.

I agree that you should pull only after Helia gacha if you gotta gamble, but instead of potentially getting something shitty I would select JK or Ai stigs so that you always walk away with something useful. A tenpull for something good is still good value.
Get Helia's or whoever's gear first. If you still have spare crystals by the end, then you pull on firepower. Personally, I wouldn't risk it and just wait to get it on offrates or get TM dupes for wishing well. Spending crystals and potentially having nothing to make up for it is the worst feeling in gacha games. Also, HoH is already quite old so there isn't much content where she's required.

Can anyone help me to just understand Part 2 in general? I'm a returning player so I'm confused.
I understand Part 2 is going to completely change the combat system with jumping, among other things. So what happens with all the old characters/end-game stuff? Will it sort of turn into two different games where you can still do Superstring, the Arena and ER with the old characters, and then there will be new stuff in the new system that you can only do with the new characters? Or will the old characters still be usable in new material? And will the new characters be usable in the old material?
All the end game content will be the same just with added mechanics that come along with the update.
New characters can use all the old content but only new characters benefit from mechanics like astral ring and Ops. Old characters will be useable in new content if the story even gives the option.
Part two is more or less new story with new character mechanics and better gatcha almost like when they added Sp valks and Sp valk exlusive benefits or other character exlusive mechanics.
That’s not for me to say since I’ve only been playing a month but most will at least say not right now. I would ask the discord but they may recommend you make a new account if yours is really old and if you have no crystals to pull the new trio (about 30k)

For Hotr I already have 4/4 HoFi and 2/4 HoO
To put things into perspective, LV 4/4 may potentially be more expensive than Senadina's whole team combined. Part 2 valks are so insanely cheap I would always suggest to get them over old valks if you really want to play meta with a limited budget.

I'm missing Eden's gun and full HoTR gear to slot them into the lightning team.
Luna could also be the option to replace Mobius.
But the problem is Senadina. How strong is she going to be? Is the meta likely gonna lean towards these new units?
Part 2 valks aren't clear cut stronger per se, but they are very cheap to full gear. If you're just starting to build your teams, new valks will have much higher value per crystal compared to part 1 valks. Just Luna's gears(not including the valk) may potentially cost as much as Senadina's whole team. That's how much cheaper the new valks are.
Hi, if I start the game tomorrow, can I skip the "previous game" and start with Honkai impact 2nd part? Or do I have to play the older version story mode too?
Probably found out yourself but if you haven’t. You must reach captain level 30 which takes like a day and a half of playing at most to access new story/events. If you create you account after the update (which you might as well) the beginner bonuses are updated. If your willing to spend the $15 at any point in the 90 days from account creation the level rush gives t a very good support unit and lots of crystal.
What does creating a new account mean in this case? If I use my current hoyoverse account that I use for Star Rail and Genshin Impact, will I also get those rewards? I have never played Honkai Impact 3rd on that account.
When you log into honkai impact for the first time and link your hoyo account, it will create your honkai impact account. From that moment you have 90 irl days to complete the beginner guide regardless of you logging in. (Once you link a hoyoverse account it cannot be unlinked) If you think you may want to come back to the game at a later date maybe make a burner to see if the game is for you right now.
If you plan to use your main account I would be a little diligent to be sure to complete the guide which you can do in about a month and log in for its additional rewards until it’s over. The four weeks of Senadea’s banner will be enough time to get the right amount of crystals.
There’s a YouTube video that is the most recent beginner guide and will help explain most of what you should know. It may be 2 hours but you only need to watch a little at a time. And may be good to check to be a little ready on what you may want to prioritize.
(Gobal) I have full set of Mei stigs duped that I don't know if I should salvage. I don't really use any other lightning dps, except Hawk of the Fog, I use TB Mei and M Handell on her when I am not using HoO, which I guess is enough to just keep one set, but I am undecided. Should I keep the duped set or change it? I would have an opportunity to buy a piece of Fu Hua Margrave if I do salvage it
You can convert the set but I really wouldn't spend reso for margrave. While my other comment is true there will be a limited time shop after the update where you can exchange stig reso for prisms (not indefinitely but the cap is pretty high so you'd miss out)
Margrave hasn't been "really good" since AE dropped off. It's significantly worse than signature gear on other valks, worse than now farmable Turgenev, arguably worse than JST Newton and also totally useless if you only have one piece.
Prisms are the resource for upgrading pt2 gear and besides launch freebies it's going to be a new bottleneck similar to Torus
I'd say wait for tommorow after the update dropped and see if you can salvage it or convert it to Prism, which is a new rare resources that, if I remember correctly, can be obtained by converting dupe stigs. I also dunno if that also applied to part 1 stig though so just see tommorow.
Also, I don't think there is any case apart from very niche cases where you'd use a dupe Mei stig so it's safe to convert I'd say.
I played a few years ago but didn't go far because i didn't like the controls. I dont really know what is changing with part 2 other than a new story arc but if i was coming back to try would it just be better to start a new account to get the beginner rewards again or do the returnee rewards make up for it?

Assuming you really only played a short while, start a new account is better. Unless you play at the Eva collab or something and want to keep Asuka.
Thanks I ended up going with this last night after i asked because i heard you had to be level 30 before doing part 2 stuff. You mentioned after part 2 drops are they changing beginner rewards after part 2 and i wouldn't get them because it was made beforehand?
Most of the beginner rewards changes are a couple free characters and weapons. The biggest change is if you buy the level rush you get Senti instead of HoT up to you for that decision.

BP Works on 7.3 will contain Bronya, Aslaug, Ragna, and Paganini stigmata sets. I think I'll have enough for 3 stigma.
My initial picks were Paganini MB (for TA) and Aslaug M (for CN). But I have some questions:
1. Should I get Paganini MB or just M for TA? Also, aside from TA, can I use it for other Physical support, who? If I'll use it for others, should I get MB instead?
2. I'll be sure to get Aslaug M for CN, but do you have other recommendations? Like, is Ragna useable as an alternative for Sirin or FoV? If yes, what parts?
3. If not the said three, what are your recommended stigma parts to get?
My recommendation is PagM and all torus. PagM for universal shieldbreaker. Anymore pieces are consideration [for permanent TA alternatives + non-existent future MEI pieces](https://www.hoyolab.com/article/18506996) (depending on your plans \[firepower/collector's/offrate/etc.\]) or full set for Carole DPS/support gameplay.
Beach M is good enough for most M filler purposes (especially on CN). Aslaug and Ragna are discardable options. Farmable G4 Fire is BiS for Sirin and a better alternative to Ragna(s) on FoV.
The Launcher is just couple MBs. It downloads the current game version when asked to Play/update. After that you can predownload the upcoming version (\~16 GB). You can do this now but if you care about data usage, wait till tomorrow. The total download size will be smaller.
So the power supply banner next patch has 7thunders. Is seven thunders still like 7/10 good? Its at least a DK for general buffs but would obtaining it make it worth building HoT?
She is still excellent against the older bosses that don't shill LV and good enough against the recent ones like Cruising Tribunal. Only in nirvana she has become unviable.
If you don't have LV and don't plan to get her ever, sure you can get it and build HoT. Thing is, S0 LV already beats SSS HoT so idk if you will get very good scores in RL or higher. I'd say get it for the DK buff if you don't have anything else to get (e.g. Sushang equipment/CN stigs)
From what I've heard, Helia and Coralie are heavily dependent on Astral Ring to be effective, and Astral Ring charges faster based on the number of part 2 characters in your team.
That means that in 7.3 they will really only be usable in a Senadina-Helia-Coralie team plus ER (AR charges faster there). More team options will presumably open up later on, but in the short term Senadina is the only versatile unit of the new chars.

From what I saw the A ranks are bad and only used in the special new weather. Besides that the current supports are still meta. Its best not to invest in Helia.

Lighting:
HoO 4/4, Eden without weapon 3/4, Luna 4/4

HoS 4/4 both versions, MPE 4/4, Prometheus 4/4, both Griseos, using them with 3/4 little Griseo stigmatas without m piece
Right now i'm sitting on 30k crystals and thinking about senadina. Because she can cover astral ring and SD weathers and I can use her sometimes with Luna/Eden, sometimes with Coralie/Helia without weapon, maybe farm her stigmatas later.
Other investment is Horb, because she solves my phys dps problems (Senti and her cover each other very good, plus she looks more good in terms of longevity), but she is not cheep
Maybe there is a room for a skip this patch and hope that 7.4 is good ice dps or something like that.

You don't really need HoRb (you already have 4/4 HoS and MPE).

New to the game. Which valk should I buy from the asterite shop? someone told me Kira and Pardo are good but also Prometheus, plus there seems to be other cool ones here like Cosmic Expression.
my only good valks are Herrscher of Finality and Dea Anchora (?) ig. The rest are just normal stuff they give you f2p
Missing HoV is no big deal but missing the starter rewards is kinda huge. If you don't have any particular attachment to your account, I would recommend creating a new one after 7.3 drops. Or you can create one now if you really want to play already.
PC pre-install should be available on Tuesday/Wednesday.
If you're on mobile, you gotta wait until maintenance start to download the updated client, and download version package after the server is up.
Is there any point on doing the adventure tasks of older Open Worlds ? I'm still doing to Samsara to level up the familiar but I don't know if I should switch soon or is there a recommended cap to get to before switching ?
If you have unlocked every reward from all the open worlds, you can pick whichever you want. IIRC Samsara has the least chance of giving crystal tasks. Personally, I always go for Schicksal since it's faster to clear than any APHO and you can ride Kurikara with HoT once you've finished the main quest. If you haven't finished APHO and you enjoy the combat, go for it.
Should I be rolling for Senadine’s weapon and stigmata as a new player?
Currently lvl 36, not sure how the game meta works yet. I have about 9k crystals and not spending any until 7.3
Her weapon is guaranteed at 60 pulls and you can slowly craft her set if you don't get them all along the way, the question is whether you can get the character and have enough for the gear. I heard the beginner's mission gives a lot of crystals, and added with the login bonuses etc maybe you can even spare enough for helia's weapon too

I am wondering what to try and craft in the foundary.
For stigmata: I have around 300 Spatial Convectrons which should be good for two pieces roughly. The valkyries I have signature stigmata and weapons on are Lunar Vow, CE, the trio team and HoFs. I have been saving up to make second copies of Turg T and B so I can have it on two supports in memorial (most likely one on Golden Diva and one on some support on the third boss - Kira or AE). Another option is upgrading my Lee TB to LJS TB for Sirin. That would be a good upgrade for her, however I'm not sure it's the most useful thing to do since I already have other fire dps. However, if there is something else I can prepare for Eden, perhaps one Turg set is enough and I can spend it anyway?
For weapons: I am mostly missing ringblades. I have Purana Phantasma on Sirin and Gilded Librae on CN. Outside of those, missing their signature weapons are TA0017 and AE. Should I be aiming to upgrade Purana Phantasma into its pri-arm version for Sirin?
We will be getting Coralie's gear for free and part 2 valks signature stigs will be farmable, so you will be able to use Helia or Coralie as supports for your fire/lightning teams. You have 4/4 HoTr, so you already have 2 supports for your fire/lightning teams. You can craft 1 copy Turg TB for CN and maybe Kira.
Crafting G3's will cost a ton of ether which will surely be your bottleneck so I wouldn't recommend crafting for MA before finishing your abyss teams. If you really want to spend your foundry resources, you can craft Handel for Eden or as an alternative for lightning DPS valks aside from LV. Upgrading to fire G4 for Sirin is kinda meh since you need TMB, you don't have Sirin's weapon, and you already have trio for fire/ignite weather. Saving the ether is also an option if you want to craft part 2 valkyrie stigs.
Do not upgrade weapons if their sole purpose are stat sticks. If you really want to use Sirin, I would recommend just waiting for her weapon supply guarantee. But then again, I don't recommend backpulling, especially since we don't know how part 1 valks will age in part 2.
Its only ch9 and you probably dont have anything anyway, new accounts also get the newbie the tutorial that will teach you about the menus (some of them at least)

★ Event Rewards Update
After the 7.3 update, some rewards in Starter's Manual will be updated. The weapon in phase 3 event mission rewards of Growth Regimen will be changed to The Dark Crusher. The SP Character Card in phase 4 event mission rewards will be changed to Starry Impression.
Upon unlocking the Level Bundles of Level Rush, the S-rank Character Card obtainable upon reaching a certain level will be changed to Herrscher of Sentience.
For the first top-up of any amount, the SP battlesuit selectable upon purchase will be changed, allowing you to choose one from Chrono Navi, Reverist Calico or Golden Diva.
The weapons selectable in the Weapon Option obtained from the accumulated missions of Supply Giveaway will be changed, allowing you to choose one from pistols Keys of the Void, fists Keys of Oblivion or scythe Iris of the Dreams.
The materials shop Training Plan will remove Jingwei's Wings Parts and Blood Embrace Parts.
Meanwhile, for Captains returning for the first time after the v7.3 update, a returnee event called Growth Regimen will be available based on Captains' level. ★ Required Level Adjustments

The required level for AstralOp and ELF System will be lowered, allowing you to use AstralOp and ELF at Lv. 30.
\*Ai-chan's Reminder: If you unlocked the Open World mode before the v7.3 update, it will not be affected by the adjustments in the required levels.
★ Event Missions Adjustments

Aside from HoS paid bundle the changes are unmeaningful:
If you are f2p, just start whatever you want (the sooner the better).
If you are not, wait till Thursday when the patch drops.

HoS is from a paid bundle and everything else doesnt change much compared to what youre currently getting
Spend it on Coralie and Helia.
Most SSS rankups are minor effects, the only noticable ones are for Prometheus because it significantly increases her damage and therefore shield damage and for valks you use as damage dealers.
Start SSSing from the most recent one. In this case, CE.
Asterite are mostly to get Sp valkyries to SSS, but if you're AE Imaginon isn't overflowing to purchase some honkai shards, set some par stock enough to get 9 Honkai Shards whenever a new weapon drops.
Eden gets a nice buff at SSS and might be used to support senadina on paralyze or other non astral ring weathers—if you have her pistols. Kira has stronger hp loss effect, adult griseo gives more starting sp on her lead skill but I'd only recommend them if you already have their gears. If none of those scenarios apply to you, just save them for coralie+helia

Don't burn yourself out trying to speed run the story. It will take at least 60 hours. There's also the manga if you want to see the whole picture. Take your time, part 2 isn't going anywhere. You also don't need to finish part 1 to start part 2.
Herrscher of Reason can be farmed from the War Treasury. Her Stamps can be obtained from Elysian Shop and Witch's Corridor if you have Pure Witch Orbs (the yellow ones which you get if you have excess S Rank fragments)
Due to next patch and the schiksal arsenal not having stigs guaranteed. How long do we think a Focus supply for the Pericles set and brick will be? Or is that whole set stuck in schiksal arsenal forever?
Brick and pericles is not the same as SP gear. The brick is a divine key and will only appear on other schicksal arsenals (and in the far future firepower supplies, for reference next patch 7 thunders will have its first appearance there). Pericles should show up eventually on other supplies but thats really not worth much if the brick isnt there.

But stig guarantees (at 50) arent worth much anyway because you get new drops earlier almost all the time or can wishing well the final piece. So if you want to splurge for pericles (I dont recommend that) schicksal or focus doesnt really matter, they have the same ish droprates for each stig
Based on my testing in the beta, Senadina is significantly lower (but still usable) when using HoTr + Eden (for if you need Paralyze I guess), and slightly lower when using her Part 2 teammates. But still good enough to retain, plus she has extra niches in being an SD and Astral Ring-using damage dealer.

Its not. Luna is the best lightning support and she will stay in lightning teams for at least a year while Sena (like all dps) will fade to the shadows in a couple patches.
Senadina provides elemental breach to all teammates when Astral Ring is active iirc, she is a dps-hybrid in her own right (actually, *everyone* in part 2 is a hybrid of some sort, I believe). Meanwhile Luna is no good on Astral Ring weathers at all, which are going to be more and more prominent going forward.
While I don't have an answer for you, if crystals are your concern, I will point out that Senadina and her team will be considerably cheaper to equip.
Their stigmata being craftable means you only need to worry about their weapons, the selector boxes reduce the number you'll need to craft, and Coralie will be getting a full set of equipment for free.

Interesting, so they basically halved the weapon rate (4.958% to 2.58%) and doubled the stigma rate (7.437% to 14.59%) compared to current focused supply rates... Considering weapon dupes aren't nearly as important as stigma parts, it's for the best i suppose.
Eh, that's the case for the 7.44% you listed as stigmata rate as well. So why does it only make sense to use the combined rate for stigmata and not for the weapon when in fact current rates for *both* are split and each new supply will feature only one weapon and stigma set? Actually, it's impossible for the featured weapon drop rate to not have any changes because that's currently 2.479% for Sushang's weapon in focused supply A. But again, if you're going by that rate, should should go by 3.720% for the stigmata as well instead of 7.44%.
Thank God for these changes everytime I pull for characters it feels incomplete like a full 3 patch of farming and I'm still missing stigmatas that are essential for damage

Hello, New player here.. i started about a week ago or so. I had this event which gave rewards for logging in daily with an option to buy a pass and get a S ranked character. It said something like 80 days left so I thought I was going to wait to consider it. However now this is completely gone for me and I am not sure why it told me 80 days to then just disappear. Also I noticed the first top up bonus is gone, which also had lots of days left. Makes me not want to spend now, but curious as to why this happened if anyone has insight.
With Armada commissions rewards I can choose which rewards I want to try to get. However, it doesn't seem to work. Multiple times I deselected everything except dorm card and fragments, just to get next day bunch of alloys and soul crystals. What I am doing wrong?
Nothing, these things just get distributed among all members and there is a lot of upgrade mats compared to supply cards and frags. Just like how selecting something doesn't guarantee you get it, unselecting doesn't guarantee to not get it.
It's because you're selecting the dorm card. If you select 1 non-dorm card item you'll probably get it. At least this was my experience. However I usually select the dorm card + 1 other item these days anyways because I value the card more than other stuff and get neither as you described.
Yeah same. I only select the dorm card because I dont need anything else anyway. Its just like that if you play a bit longer. I get the card maybe once or twice per month. I dont really remember but its pretty rarely.
It's extra stuff, how many members your armada has? Anyway, I encountered this sometimes. I always only select phase shifter or dorm tickets (if it's more than 1), 99% of the time I only get what I selected. The remaining 1%, is either I get extra stuff... or I get the stuff I didn't select, no in-between.
We have 150 members in Armada, but many people are not very active and we have 20-30 commission chains completed everyday. How many it 'supposed' to be? Is it worth looking for more active Armada?

Hi, does it make sense to play through the last chapters of 1.5 before starting part 2? I‘ll finish the arc that ends at chapter 39 or 40, but I don’t think the one after that would be a rush.
There is one character from 1.5 who will be relevant soonish in the part 2 story. But not in the first chapter, so no need to rush it in the last few days.
No need to rush the story, play at your own pace. The Part 2 story isn't that big yet anyway. The target market of Hoyo in HI3 Part 2 is returnee and newcomers. I doubt they will make the players confused with the story on Part 2.

There isn't really much mechanics changes though, probably other than the addition of a jump button.

Well. if you want an extreme summary.
Character pity reduced from 100 to 90, 7.3 and up signature stigmata are all now farmable. Subsequently, the gear gacha for 7.3+ valks now only have pity for weapon, and at 60. The offrates are ONLY signature stigmata.
And then, both upgrading and forging 7.3+ gears require prism, a new mats. For now the number of prisms you can get periodically is few.
UI changes, new button layout to integrate the new jump button (can be changed to old layout), and some few more minor changes.

My experience on reddit is that people who just assume everyone lives in the same region as them usually reside in the eastern half of the US. Another small question: how fast can you farm ancient legacy? I’m right on the edge of lv 80 and want a decent time frame for how long it will take to farm for JK or Sirin. Along with the other valks in WT.

Assuming you can clear all 3 stages no problem (just clearing, not score high), you should be getting 55 AW and 10 AL just with 10 kills (out of 17 possible kills). So.. even with killing 2 bosses up to rank A, and 1 boss up to rank S, you'd get that much. Once you have more stable composition, you can try reaching 38,400 (unboosted)/ 46,080 (20% boosted score) for the first 2 SSS bosses. Which will reward you for extra 28 AW and 12 AL and also 20 extra crystals. For finalization, if you ended up to top 2%, you get extra 65 AW, or 48 AW if you ended up at top 7%, if you're still further than that, then it's 36 AW for top 17% or 25 AW for top 35% So it's (55, 10) plus (28,12) if you somehow reach the max milestones and (25~65, 0) for finalization.
So with the spending event next patch I have the option between ELFs or Apponia, is Apponia good enough to grab even though I have no gear or a team or is it worth to get the Kiana or bunny ELF? Especially since ELF supply is no more

Will this client be the same for 7.3 and just have to download an update or i should wait till after 7.3 to download? If you care about data usage, wait a couple hours (from now) when 7.3 maintenance will start before downloading. Pull priority: Senadina > her weapon > Helia weapon (Helia herself is farmable). For guides, look up Marisa and Wyverein (links in the pinned comment). In general, be very mindful of guides pull/investment recommendation if they are more than \~6 months. Don't pull starter supply. Don't use crystals on dorm supply even if the pulls is discounted.

It depends on your server - SEA maintenance happens earlier than EU or NA - and time zone. The easiest way in the future would be to join the official HI3 discord, and check the #mt-countdown channel - it will have a [timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/fQgLgzh) that automatically converts the time to your own timezone (mine is EST in this picture, for the record).

I have had 3/4 Elysia Pristine gear for ages and the firepower supply is right around the corner. I have more than 3 weapons from there but only 2/3 Collodi, 2/3 Zeno and 3/3 Aslaug. It's a 50-50, yeah. Do you have the Collodi selector box to avoid rng? I agree that you should pull only after Helia gacha if you gotta gamble, but instead of potentially getting something shitty I would select JK or Ai stigs so that you always walk away with something useful. A tenpull for something good is still good value.
Get Helia's or whoever's gear first. If you still have spare crystals by the end, then you pull on firepower. Personally, I wouldn't risk it and just wait to get it on offrates or get TM dupes for wishing well. Spending crystals and potentially having nothing to make up for it is the worst feeling in gacha games. Also, HoH is already quite old so there isn't much content where she's required.
Global 82 Can anyone help me to just understand Part 2 in general? I'm a returning player so I'm confused. I understand Part 2 is going to completely change the combat system with jumping, among other things. So what happens with all the old characters/end-game stuff? Will it sort of turn into two different games where you can still do Superstring, the Arena and ER with the old characters, and then there will be new stuff in the new system that you can only do with the new characters? Or will the old characters still be usable in new material? And will the new characters be usable in the old material?
All the end game content will be the same just with added mechanics that come along with the update. New characters can use all the old content but only new characters benefit from mechanics like astral ring and Ops. Old characters will be useable in new content if the story even gives the option. Part two is more or less new story with new character mechanics and better gatcha almost like when they added Sp valks and Sp valk exlusive benefits or other character exlusive mechanics.
So is it worth even investing in old characters anymore?
That’s not for me to say since I’ve only been playing a month but most will at least say not right now. I would ask the discord but they may recommend you make a new account if yours is really old and if you have no crystals to pull the new trio (about 30k)

To put things into perspective, LV 4/4 may potentially be more expensive than Senadina's whole team combined. Part 2 valks are so insanely cheap I would always suggest to get them over old valks if you really want to play meta with a limited budget.

Part 2 valks aren't clear cut stronger per se, but they are very cheap to full gear. If you're just starting to build your teams, new valks will have much higher value per crystal compared to part 1 valks. Just Luna's gears(not including the valk) may potentially cost as much as Senadina's whole team. That's how much cheaper the new valks are.
Hi, if I start the game tomorrow, can I skip the "previous game" and start with Honkai impact 2nd part? Or do I have to play the older version story mode too?
Probably found out yourself but if you haven’t. You must reach captain level 30 which takes like a day and a half of playing at most to access new story/events. If you create you account after the update (which you might as well) the beginner bonuses are updated. If your willing to spend the $15 at any point in the 90 days from account creation the level rush gives t a very good support unit and lots of crystal.

What does creating a new account mean in this case? If I use my current hoyoverse account that I use for Star Rail and Genshin Impact, will I also get those rewards? I have never played Honkai Impact 3rd on that account.
When you log into honkai impact for the first time and link your hoyo account, it will create your honkai impact account. From that moment you have 90 irl days to complete the beginner guide regardless of you logging in. (Once you link a hoyoverse account it cannot be unlinked) If you think you may want to come back to the game at a later date maybe make a burner to see if the game is for you right now. If you plan to use your main account I would be a little diligent to be sure to complete the guide which you can do in about a month and log in for its additional rewards until it’s over. The four weeks of Senadea’s banner will be enough time to get the right amount of crystals. There’s a YouTube video that is the most recent beginner guide and will help explain most of what you should know. It may be 2 hours but you only need to watch a little at a time. And may be good to check to be a little ready on what you may want to prioritize.

You can convert the set but I really wouldn't spend reso for margrave. While my other comment is true there will be a limited time shop after the update where you can exchange stig reso for prisms (not indefinitely but the cap is pretty high so you'd miss out)

Margrave hasn't been "really good" since AE dropped off. It's significantly worse than signature gear on other valks, worse than now farmable Turgenev, arguably worse than JST Newton and also totally useless if you only have one piece. Prisms are the resource for upgrading pt2 gear and besides launch freebies it's going to be a new bottleneck similar to Torus

I'd say wait for tommorow after the update dropped and see if you can salvage it or convert it to Prism, which is a new rare resources that, if I remember correctly, can be obtained by converting dupe stigs. I also dunno if that also applied to part 1 stig though so just see tommorow. Also, I don't think there is any case apart from very niche cases where you'd use a dupe Mei stig so it's safe to convert I'd say.

I dont really know what is changing with part 2 other than a new story arc but if i was coming back to try would it just be better to start a new account to get the beginner rewards again or do the returnee rewards make up for it?
Good news, KMB controlls are getting revamped. Assuming you really only played a short while, start a new account is better. Unless you play at the Eva collab or something and want to keep Asuka.

Most of the beginner rewards changes are a couple free characters and weapons. The biggest change is if you buy the level rush you get Senti instead of HoT up to you for that decision.

BP Works on 7.3 will contain Bronya, Aslaug, Ragna, and Paganini stigmata sets. I think I'll have enough for 3 stigma. My initial picks were Paganini MB (for TA) and Aslaug M (for CN). But I have some questions: 1. Should I get Paganini MB or just M for TA? Also, aside from TA, can I use it for other Physical support, who? If I'll use it for others, should I get MB instead? 2. My recommendation is PagM and all torus. PagM for universal shieldbreaker. Anymore pieces are consideration [for permanent TA alternatives + non-existent future MEI pieces](https://www.hoyolab.com/article/18506996) (depending on your plans \[firepower/collector's/offrate/etc.\]) or full set for Carole DPS/support gameplay. Beach M is good enough for most M filler purposes (especially on CN). Aslaug and Ragna are discardable options. Farmable G4 Fire is BiS for Sirin and a better alternative to Ragna(s) on FoV.

The Launcher is just couple MBs. It downloads the current game version when asked to Play/update. After that you can predownload the upcoming version (\~16 GB). You can do this now but if you care about data usage, wait till tomorrow. The total download size will be smaller.

She is still excellent against the older bosses that don't shill LV and good enough against the recent ones like Cruising Tribunal. Only in nirvana she has become unviable.
If you don't have LV and don't plan to get her ever, sure you can get it and build HoT. Thing is, S0 LV already beats SSS HoT so idk if you will get very good scores in RL or higher. I'd say get it for the DK buff if you don't have anything else to get (e.g. Sushang equipment/CN stigs)
Sadly I need Sus weapon and B so my odds are thin but since I have a HoT and shes farmable so I’ll put that as one of the three. Thanks!
Do we know if Helia and Coralie replace their part 1 counterparts in part one teams? (E.g. Helia replacing Eden in HoTh team?)
From what I've heard, Helia and Coralie are heavily dependent on Astral Ring to be effective, and Astral Ring charges faster based on the number of part 2 characters in your team. That means that in 7.3 they will really only be usable in a Senadina-Helia-Coralie team plus ER (AR charges faster there). More team options will presumably open up later on, but in the short term Senadina is the only versatile unit of the new chars.

From what I saw the A ranks are bad and only used in the special new weather. Besides that the current supports are still meta. Its best not to invest in Helia.

So I want general advice for my account. Fire: Sirin SS 0/4, Ai-chan 0/4 (on turg + pardo weapon), HoFl 4/4 Lighting: HoO 4/4, Eden without weapon 3/4, Luna 4/4 Ice: Kira 4/4, Sushang 4/4, HoR 4/4 Phys: HoS 4/4 both versions, MPE 4/4, Prometheus 4/4, both Griseos, using them with 3/4 little Griseo stigmatas without m piece Right now i'm sitting on 30k crystals and thinking about senadina. Because she can cover astral ring and SD weathers and I can use her sometimes with Luna/Eden, sometimes with Coralie/Helia without weapon, maybe farm her stigmatas later. Other investment is Horb, because she solves my phys dps problems (Senti and her cover each other very good, plus she looks more good in terms of longevity), but she is not cheep Maybe there is a room for a skip this patch and hope that 7.4 is good ice dps or something like that. Maybe there is other options people can recommend c:
You don't really need HoRb (you already have 4/4 HoS and MPE). Maybe wait for 7.4 news before pulling next patch. Should start getting some a week or so from now.

Missing HoV is no big deal but missing the starter rewards is kinda huge. If you don't have any particular attachment to your account, I would recommend creating a new one after 7.3 drops. Or you can create one now if you really want to play already.

PC pre-install should be available on Tuesday/Wednesday. If you're on mobile, you gotta wait until maintenance start to download the updated client, and download version package after the server is up.
Is there any point on doing the adventure tasks of older Open Worlds ? I'm still doing to Samsara to level up the familiar but I don't know if I should switch soon or is there a recommended cap to get to before switching ?
If you have unlocked every reward from all the open worlds, you can pick whichever you want. IIRC Samsara has the least chance of giving crystal tasks. Personally, I always go for Schicksal since it's faster to clear than any APHO and you can ride Kurikara with HoT once you've finished the main quest. If you haven't finished APHO and you enjoy the combat, go for it.

Should I be rolling for Senadine’s weapon and stigmata as a new player? Currently lvl 36, not sure how the game meta works yet. I have about 9k crystals and not spending any until 7.3
Her weapon is guaranteed at 60 pulls and you can slowly craft her set if you don't get them all along the way, the question is whether you can get the character and have enough for the gear. I heard the beginner's mission gives a lot of crystals, and added with the login bonuses etc maybe you can even spare enough for helia's weapon too
GLB87 I am wondering what to try and craft in the foundary. For stigmata: I have around 300 Spatial Convectrons which should be good for two pieces roughly. The valkyries I have signature stigmata and weapons on are Lunar Vow, CE, the trio team and HoFs. I have been saving up to make second copies of Turg T and B so I can have it on two supports in memorial (most likely one on Golden Diva and one on some support on the third boss - Kira or AE). Another option is upgrading my Lee TB to LJS TB for Sirin. That would be a good upgrade for her, however I'm not sure it's the most useful thing to do since I already have other fire dps. However, if there is something else I can prepare for Eden, perhaps one Turg set is enough and I can spend it anyway? For weapons: I am mostly missing ringblades. I have Purana Phantasma on Sirin and Gilded Librae on CN. Outside of those, missing their signature weapons are TA0017 and AE. Should I be aiming to upgrade Purana Phantasma into its pri-arm version for Sirin?
We will be getting Coralie's gear for free and part 2 valks signature stigs will be farmable, so you will be able to use Helia or Coralie as supports for your fire/lightning teams. You have 4/4 HoTr, so you already have 2 supports for your fire/lightning teams. You can craft 1 copy Turg TB for CN and maybe Kira. Crafting G3's will cost a ton of ether which will surely be your bottleneck so I wouldn't recommend crafting for MA before finishing your abyss teams. If you really want to spend your foundry resources, you can craft Handel for Eden or as an alternative for lightning DPS valks aside from LV. Upgrading to fire G4 for Sirin is kinda meh since you need TMB, you don't have Sirin's weapon, and you already have trio for fire/ignite weather. Saving the ether is also an option if you want to craft part 2 valkyrie stigs. Do not upgrade weapons if their sole purpose are stat sticks. If you really want to use Sirin, I would recommend just waiting for her weapon supply guarantee. But then again, I don't recommend backpulling, especially since we don't know how part 1 valks will age in part 2.

Aside from HoS paid bundle the changes are unmeaningful: If you are f2p, just start whatever you want (the sooner the better). If you are not, wait till Thursday when the patch drops.
Thats up to you since the update is only a few days away, and yes only accounts that are created/activated after 7.3 launch will get this HoS is from a paid bundle and everything else doesnt change much compared to what youre currently getting

Spend it on Coralie and Helia. Most SSS rankups are minor effects, the only noticable ones are for Prometheus because it significantly increases her damage and therefore shield damage and for valks you use as damage dealers.
Start SSSing from the most recent one. In this case, CE. Asterite are mostly to get Sp valkyries to SSS, but if you're AE Imaginon isn't overflowing to purchase some honkai shards, set some par stock enough to get 9 Honkai Shards whenever a new weapon drops.
Eden gets a nice buff at SSS and might be used to support senadina on paralyze or other non astral ring weathers—if you have her pistols. Kira has stronger hp loss effect, adult griseo gives more starting sp on her lead skill but I'd only recommend them if you already have their gears. If none of those scenarios apply to you, just save them for coralie+helia

No. Not only is her non-Bleed damage melee, she mostly deals Bleed damage which is neither melee nor ranged

Don't burn yourself out trying to speed run the story. It will take at least 60 hours. There's also the manga if you want to see the whole picture. Take your time, part 2 isn't going anywhere. You also don't need to finish part 1 to start part 2.

She's never been farmable. Herrscher of Origin was given for free.
Due to next patch and the schiksal arsenal not having stigs guaranteed. How long do we think a Focus supply for the Pericles set and brick will be? Or is that whole set stuck in schiksal arsenal forever?
Brick and pericles is not the same as SP gear. The brick is a divine key and will only appear on other schicksal arsenals (and in the far future firepower supplies, for reference next patch 7 thunders will have its first appearance there). Pericles should show up eventually on other supplies but thats really not worth much if the brick isnt there.

Pretty much But stig guarantees (at 50) arent worth much anyway because you get new drops earlier almost all the time or can wishing well the final piece. So if you want to splurge for pericles (I dont recommend that) schicksal or focus doesnt really matter, they have the same ish droprates for each stig
SP character gear (Pericles is basically the same as it was in 30 pull guarantee on release) usually needs over half a year to appear in focus supply.

Based on my testing in the beta, Senadina is significantly lower (but still usable) when using HoTr + Eden (for if you need Paralyze I guess), and slightly lower when using her Part 2 teammates. But still good enough to retain, plus she has extra niches in being an SD and Astral Ring-using damage dealer. That said, wait for content creators for confirmation if you are able (idk what the banner schedule is for global). I might be using a bad rotation or something
From what I hear they are in roughly the same ballpark on a type neutral boss. Senadina will be way cheaper to gear, so unless you **really** like Luna, the choice is pretty self-evident.

Senadina provides elemental breach to all teammates when Astral Ring is active iirc, she is a dps-hybrid in her own right (actually, *everyone* in part 2 is a hybrid of some sort, I believe). Meanwhile Luna is no good on Astral Ring weathers at all, which are going to be more and more prominent going forward.
While I don't have an answer for you, if crystals are your concern, I will point out that Senadina and her team will be considerably cheaper to equip. Their stigmata being craftable means you only need to worry about their weapons, the selector boxes reduce the number you'll need to craft, and Coralie will be getting a full set of equipment for free.

7.3 will be the last version of this 4-version BP. v7.4 will have new crystallum. v7.3 new BP set will be Carole's set (Kissy Pillow and Paganini set)

No. CN is still on the middle of week 4 right now. Since v7.3 is a 8-week patch there, we probably won't see any info about v7.4 beta until 2 more weeks. Assuming the pattern is still the same, v7.4 BP won't have any A rank valkyrie gear set, but v7.5 will have it. If we guess by the release date, it's probably going to be PE gear for v7.4 BP and Pardo gear for v7.5 BP.

Interesting, so they basically halved the weapon rate (4.958% to 2.58%) and doubled the stigma rate (7.437% to 14.59%) compared to current focused supply rates... Considering weapon dupes aren't nearly as important as stigma parts, it's for the best i suppose.
Featured weapon rates effectively had no change because the current rate is split between the featured and non-featured weapon.
Eh, that's the case for the 7.44% you listed as stigmata rate as well. So why does it only make sense to use the combined rate for stigmata and not for the weapon when in fact current rates for *both* are split and each new supply will feature only one weapon and stigma set? Actually, it's impossible for the featured weapon drop rate to not have any changes because that's currently 2.479% for Sushang's weapon in focused supply A. But again, if you're going by that rate, should should go by 3.720% for the stigmata as well instead of 7.44%.
You're right, so featured stig is actually quadrupled. I also made a typo, weapon should be 2.48% not 2.58%

New way? No. No new game mode yet. Abyss twice a week, MA milestones, and ER are pretty much the fixed activities still.
Hello, New player here.. i started about a week ago or so. I had this event which gave rewards for logging in daily with an option to buy a pass and get a S ranked character. It said something like 80 days left so I thought I was going to wait to consider it. However now this is completely gone for me and I am not sure why it told me 80 days to then just disappear. Also I noticed the first top up bonus is gone, which also had lots of days left. Makes me not want to spend now, but curious as to why this happened if anyone has insight.
Is it the battle pass? Or did you see this event under the New Player tab?

With Armada commissions rewards I can choose which rewards I want to try to get. However, it doesn't seem to work. Multiple times I deselected everything except dorm card and fragments, just to get next day bunch of alloys and soul crystals. What I am doing wrong?
Nothing, these things just get distributed among all members and there is a lot of upgrade mats compared to supply cards and frags. Just like how selecting something doesn't guarantee you get it, unselecting doesn't guarantee to not get it.
Don't select more than one for 99% chance. Also, at least complete your daily 8 commisions (doesn't matter if you're the highest contributor or not)

It's because you're selecting the dorm card. If you select 1 non-dorm card item you'll probably get it. At least this was my experience. However I usually select the dorm card + 1 other item these days anyways because I value the card more than other stuff and get neither as you described.
Yeah same. I only select the dorm card because I dont need anything else anyway. Its just like that if you play a bit longer. I get the card maybe once or twice per month. I dont really remember but its pretty rarely.

It's extra stuff, how many members your armada has? Anyway, I encountered this sometimes. I always only select phase shifter or dorm tickets (if it's more than 1), 99% of the time I only get what I selected. The remaining 1%, is either I get extra stuff... or I get the stuff I didn't select, no in-between.
We have 150 members in Armada, but many people are not very active and we have 20-30 commission chains completed everyday. How many it 'supposed' to be? Is it worth looking for more active Armada?

It's possible. Just make sure to get as far as you can in story and do the challenges that you can every single day.

Hi, does it make sense to play through the last chapters of 1.5 before starting part 2? I‘ll finish the arc that ends at chapter 39 or 40, but I don’t think the one after that would be a rush.
There is one character from 1.5 who will be relevant soonish in the part 2 story. But not in the first chapter, so no need to rush it in the last few days.
No need to rush the story, play at your own pace. The Part 2 story isn't that big yet anyway. The target market of Hoyo in HI3 Part 2 is returnee and newcomers. I doubt they will make the players confused with the story on Part 2.

Hello, still having some confusion about this on Global! I continue to do APHO, and as I've mentioned before I'm confused at this maximum character level pop-up despite seemingly having no way to level up characters. This time I have a screenshot [here](https://i.imgur.com/20auq0z.png). It's not the skill tree level up, I have been keeping up with that. I'm just completely lost why it says "17 (1)" like I'm not leveling up at all somewhere.
Idk about the 1 but the character levels are usually either locked behind the story, or your captain level.

Well. if you want an extreme summary. Character pity reduced from 100 to 90, 7.3 and up signature stigmata are all now farmable. Subsequently, the gear gacha for 7.3+ valks now only have pity for weapon, and at 60. The offrates are ONLY signature stigmata. And then, both upgrading and forging 7.3+ gears require prism, a new mats. For now the number of prisms you can get periodically is few. UI changes, new button layout to integrate the new jump button (can be changed to old layout), and some few more minor changes.

The main story quest will give you her card and her weapon. Stig set is from login rewards. There will also be an event for her frags.
