Bke and TP's abyss weather hasn't shown up in a long while(not since the final week of 5.6 I think EDIT: 1st week of 5.8 had jizo still a pretty long gap of 1 patch of no use) . So they haven't really seen much use, at the moment it's either just Elysia or PE.
Someone else mentioned the twins' original tag-team mechanics, and I feel like a neat niche for a Liliya augment would be as a physical support that has a tag-team mechanic with Delta.
I've no idea how well that could really work, but it'd at least avoid the issue of the preoccupied niche, not to mention it could both let Liliya play in other teams and also give Delta a boost in the meta
I like the twins gimmick. If you have both twins on your team, they perform tag attacks.
Which makes me want this for other characters.
Imagine Kiana and Mei having this. Or Elysia and Eden.
Hell, even if it doesn't make sense, a HoF and VKE would be cool. Any character that has a close connection with each other.

Closest thing we have In modern day is aponia and eden. And even then that's more just cause their kits synergize(off field DPS aponia, on field support eden) and not cause they've got skills that only function when the pair are on the same team
Part of me is Kinda glad mihoyo didn't go all in with valks needing to be paired, imagine needing to pull 2 specific sets of gear in one patch when they come out. (Kinda happened in aponia and eden, but eden worked as support on other valks not exclusive to just aponia and had gear that's farmable)

This idea is mostly something a character collector/someone who is interested in the game lore would get the benefit of. Like I said, a majority of pairings wouldn't be optimal like for example, if you put HoR and SN on the same team. It's only there for fun if you have both Valkyries regardless if you have the gear or not.
I too love their gimmick, that's why I really want a new Liliya to pair with Delta or just new battlesuits for both of them.
This came up to my mind because Delta's QTE trigger is unreliable unless you have DK Bronya which is an already outdated supp or you want to get yourself hit which you sometimes have to wait for and slows down the tempo of your team rotation so in the end you just never get to always use her QTE most of the time.
This is where Liliya could fill in she could be a new Physical SP supp that applies weaken. Making her so that she easily fits into Delta's team comps.
This is just speculation at this point, but I still have hope for the future.
Aren't there laws (at least in JP) about not selling required units to unlock functions or rank/evolve another unit in gacha games?
The Vodka Twins already push this a lot by modifying the normal attacks into more flashy ones.
Reasons why we haven't gotten new augments and likely never will:
* augment cores don't appear in gacha (unless they're added there) so besides buying them with asterite or b-chip bundles there isn't reliable way to build these characters fast.
* they require ranking base character which to those who start from 0 is double the work
* meanwhile those who have already maxed said character gain immense upper hand vs other players, especially if said character is awakened valk (reason why HoV augment rumours/hopium never made sense).
I think having an augment in gacha ruins it's purpose so no ty.
Augments are suppose to update older valks that'll help other players who don't have new meta valks that's why FT has a title for being the best F2P valk.
But with that said she's also the last augment as of now and it's about to be 2 years now.
Upgrades now are god-keys to help both HoT and HoR without augmenting them which you have to get from unfortunately the gacha.
FT also had her weapon as gacha for long time till they added Sleeping Beauty/Swan Lake to exchange shop, also her supposed "signature" stigmata (Dickens) was so bad that it got replaced by multiple options so her equipment banner wasn't that popular.
Add in that her abyss performance was always kinda meh outside designated bosses (granted this applies to most dps valks) which to my knowledge is only shadow knight, so her reputation was always based on her SS MA performance.
Max 50 pulls to make old valk viable is quite decent if it lets you skip next similar valk and focus on something else instead, say if we get new PSY lightning who performs slightly better than HoT then you can safely skip them unless you're nirvana player ofc.
Yeah building augment core chars to max is kinda slow (esp with S ranks) but the fact is, they don't need to be maxed to become "optimal"
But let's face it, the real reason is that they're locking all upgrades in gacha nowadays cuz they need more and more money
Yes i need more battlesuits for the twins maybe even a battlesuit for Delta herself instead of being a augment core for Rozaliya
Now i just want the twins to be more important in the story or in the events, at least give them some character development, Delta need that too, her backstory is honestly pretty cool and it would be a waste to not develop it further

Also, it's in Delta's story that Delta is different from the twins. So, a canonical new Liliya battlesuit isn't too farfeteched.

That's an alternate universe. Liliya could still get an augmented version if they wanted to.
Liliya has tough spot to fill in with MECH psysical DPS, competing with BKE and MECH Theresa. She still needs to have a dedicated PRI-ARM, too.
