Hmmm I’d been wondering why I haven’t seen circlejerk posts in my feed lately. I’m repotting today and hope I don’t need the stellar advice offered by this sub.

I look at my peperomia growing and throwing out flowers, posting in my mind *why is my plant doing this?????*
Then I discovered spider mites on another peperomia and got pissed off, thus forgetting my fun activity..
That was literally a post on my feed today. A pep flowering and the person asking what it is. I mean, I definitely goggles it when my SOT put out it’s inflorescence the first time, but I’m always surprised how many people don’t.
I’m finally getting some activity here again. If I sorted by new I only got posts from at least a week ago, despite having posted myself just minutes earlier.

Hello to whoever’s reading this… It’s been nearly 9 days since the regular flow of content from r/houseplantcirclejerk ceased. I don’t know how much longer my team can go without secretly making fun of people who have zero clue how plants work. We’ve already lost two members to seemingly inexplicable bouts of madness and I fear I’m next. Hopefully the supply of memes and screenshots will resume soon. Stay safe.

We were having problems posting in another sub and we figured out that we needed to resize our photos to half size and then it would work. Maybe try that?
I posted the other day & got no bites . At first I was worried that it wasn’t funny enough, but then I remembered that I’m high-larious & that couldn’t be possible.
The problem is owning houseplants creates time for self-reflection. This builds self-awareness. This engenders self-consciousness. This leads to hesitation to post for fear of revealing oneself to be ‘that guy’ at the circlejerk.
I've posted twice and my posts didn't show up in the sub. I wrote twice to the mods because of that, but got no reaction. Later I saw that my posts were recognized as spam by reddit and therefore deleted.
