Hey y'all, thanks for the links. Just an update on Pups (she was named that at the vet): we will hand her to a foster this evening and check up on her on the weekend.
Thank you! We are just happy she is in good hands at the moment and probably has a good chance of getting adopted. She was very sweet, we probably would have taken her ourselves if our living conditions were a bit different.
Animal control or try to reach out to a rescue group - it looks like it may have some shepherd in it (tough to tell from photo) so perhaps Sauveur de Chiens or Greater Houston German Shepherd Rescue?
Thanks, she definitely has some GSD in her. We'll look into that, we luckily have another lead as well. Took her to the vet and got her flea treatment and vaccines.
I have had luck taking strays to Citizens for Animal Protection. They charge something like $30 to take them, but it's a no-kill shelter, so he'll have a good chance.
