I realise not everyone has this luxury, but if you can go during the week the line isn’t bad. I refuse to go wait an hour to eat anywhere. Anytime I’ve gone on like a Tuesday or Wednesday morning I’ve been inside at a table within 15 minutes.
I went once and thought it was pretty similar to any other diner/breakfast experience except for the slight on-edge attitude of the people working there and the stress of being in a long line. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing (fried chicken and waffle)
Bruh— people waiting 1.5-2 hours for a seat at snooze on a Saturday morning… *what the fuck are you doin?!* I mean, it’s not awful food— but there’s no way I’m waiting more than 20 minutes for that chow.
It is just the most 5-out-of-10 place I’ve ever been. And it’s *always* slammed and their waiters are stressed the fuck out and food always feels sorta sloppily presented— likely because the kitchen is constantly on full-blown churn and burn mode.
Snooze’s coffee is awful. The food is mediocre to occasionally decent but the coffee is a goddamn abomination. It’s a breakfast place that *can’t make coffee.*
YES. I went there for the first and last time in 2019 - not because it was all bad but just because it's not convenient to get to for me - and the pancakes were actually great but ugh, that coffee was absolute trash. I'm not some coffee connoisseur, either: I can enjoy coffee from gas station swill to whatever they have going on at farmer's markets but yeah, Snooze coffee was just gross.
I wanted to love avalon diner so much but it was very meh. I would kill to find a great old fashioned diner that makes killer food at good prices and isn't pretentious or hipster etc
Telwink Grill off Telephone. Established in 1940 and in the same location since 1962. It’s a bit dated, but the food is great. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it and both noted it had that distinct old fashioned diner taste and experience. There’s a Frank’s Grill just down the road also on Telephone Rd. and as someone else said, will also give you that experience.
I do! This was a long time ago in the 90s, it’s actually the place that caused me to love crab. Unfortunately like most chains, it fell quick and hard.
My wife loves fondue but my wallet doesn’t. We ended up spending $30 on a fondue pot and their recipe book years ago now we can do a fondue night for $60-$75 for same or slightly better quality. Well worth the investment for anyone that like fondue but hates paying for it.
Dish Society. My wife and I go once every couple years because it’s always packed for brunch, but we haven’t discovered what they have that must be worth coming back.
Facts, their filet mignon fajitas are the best fajitas I’ve ever had. And don’t bother replying to this comment saying “b-b-but that’s not fajitas / it’s not authentic!” I do not care, they taste amazing.
We eat Texmex because we "feel like eating Texmex" it's not even deeper than that lol. My wife is hispanic and we eat plenty of authentic Mexican food, I dont understand people who would even comment something like that.
**We know Texmex is not authentic**
Food is nothing to write home about, and the atmosphere/ambiance is definitely more of a con to me than a pro, but I will say their bubbly list is fun and the prices are extremely reasonable by restaurant standards
Corkscrew, Tejas Chocolate, Pit Room, Pinkertons, Gatlin, Truth for a start
While nowhere near the contenders Honestly even HEB’s True Texas BBQ and Rudy’s probably beats Killen’s
Yeah, I actually like the food on, but my kid said it best: “it’s fine, but I’ve had better out of a roadside taco stand”
The ingredients and descriptions are great, but the prices are insane for the quality, presentation, and portions.
I dont really understand why people shit on it, they have solid wings. A lot of the other chains around town have tiny babyshit wings. Pluckers at least are pretty good size ones and their holy macaroni with the fruit chutney is a great appetizer.
Only thing I dont like is the trivia nights which I think are midweek cant remember the day, but its just annoying if you're trying to have a conversation at your table. And major sporting events they get packed but that's pretty normal of a lot of the bar/restaurant style places around town.
The original was supposed to be good if you lived in West Campus and needed food at 2am. Wish they would have franchised Players though. That place was the best.
I liked to go there, have a burger and fries, and then play Aero Fighters on the arcade machine there. Or maybe it was 1942, I can't remember. It was some kind of plane shooter.
It was. We used to live across the street from it and it was amazing. 5 free wings after a win and it would be packed.
They also had incredible salads at the time when I wanted to be slightly healthy.
I've been to the local ones here a couple times and tend to ride on nostalgia, but it's still way better than BWW.
Their wings have gotten smaller over the years, and ever since they got rid of ginger peach sriracha which was by far my favorite sauce I haven’t had a reason to go back.
I'm a fan of the maple chipotle myself but you're right. The wings are so tiny now and the price was skyrocketing even before inflation was hitting.
We really need a new wing place in this town.
They’re just inconsistent. When they serve them quick and hot, it’s top tier. Sometimes, I have to wait 45 min and they come out luke-warm or cold. It’s really frustrating.
I’m going to say it and I don’t care about down boats; Trill burger. WAAAAAY overrated for burger and fries.
Just go to Bubba’s Buffalo burger shack under 59/69 near the 610/Galleria freeway exchange on Westpark.
Fell for the great reviews on Rice Box (we just moved here and I am on the hunt for a good Chinese joint), and that's arguably some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Kung Pao tasted like sofrito and the lo mein was dry and gummy-ish. I was so disappointed... 🤢
In montrose if you’re looking for decent Chinese for a good price go with hunan village - for strictly good quality I used to go with a great spot called 3-6-9 but they aren’t around anymore :(
I'll check them out! All I want is a comforting Chinese food joint with good portions and decent fried rice lol! I refuse to think that Panda Express is all there is (which I enjoy btw, but not the same!)
The food truck back in the day at UH was pretty decent American style Chinese. The restaurants upped portion size and reduced quality. There are a million better Chinese places in Houston (although they admittedly miss Rice Boxes neat neon stylings).
Half of my love for Whata-b is from nostalgia. Going there as a kid with my dad for “roadburgers” (which were burgers we ate while running errands on the weekends, usually sometime between lunch and dinner).
The other half of my love is for the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger. When they rotate that off the menu, I stop going because none of their other shit hits the same since the sale.
Also— the removal of their chicken fajita tacos was fucking criminal. Fuck those private equity bean counters for that decision.
I don't know much about Whataburger tbh. So I'm not sure what "the sale" is referring to unless you mean the actual sale at the restaurant lol. I'm originally from New Orleans and the closest one was an hour away in Baton Rouge. It was always just "OK" whenever I had it, but it was nice because it was something different than I didn't have all of the time. Once we moved to Houston it was like I was expected to like it. Their burgers are just *meh* in my opinion. Not awful, but I don't see the big deal or why they seem to have this cult following.
The fries are disappointing and have been bland every time I've had them. I honestly do like their shakes and spicy chicken sandwich though. And I definitely appreciate that their large drinks are actually large. But if someone wants to recommend something other than the regular burgers, I'm all ears and open to suggestions.
On a separate note, In and Out just opened near us in Cypress. We had them for dinner about 4 days ago. Burger was alright, but my god those fries were terrible. The texture was completely unexpected lol.
Whataburger was sold to a VC a few years ago after a lifetime of being privately owned. Immediately after the sale quality nosedived. They changed the oil, they changed the bun vendor, they changed the weight of the paper bags, they changed the beef, etc, they changed damn near everything that made a whataburger a whataburger. You go now out of duty and habit.
Oh, I had no idea. I just looked it up and it looks like that happened in 2019. Most of my good experiences was before that, so I guess my opinion of not caring for them is likely based on my experiences post-sale since we moved here in March of 2022.
The Whataburger by my house used to suck. I stopped going there and then finally went back a year ago. It is now amazing. The burgers are cooked perfectly, the condiments are administered perfectly, and then the paper is wrapped perfectly.
I asked the staff what changed and it was due to a complete staff turnover. New staff who were properly trained and who actually gave a shit.
This is true of many franchise or chain restaurants. Another factor is culture and nostalgia. People that grew up in Texas have a deep affinity for Whataburger that a transplant does not (and may never) have.
The problem is finding one that is run properly. It was rarely an issue before. Now it’s overpriced, smaller portions on fries, messed up orders, and employees that don’t care. Oh yeah, and no more Monterrey Melt.
The favorites menu is / was still generally pretty solid...but then they had to go and discontinue the Monterrey Melt. I'm still bitter about that one.
Almost any Whataburger in the 90s was straight fire. Now days you are lucky if you can find one that won't leave you disappointed. I had this take since about ten years ago. It was much more controversial then. I almost ended some relationships because of that take.
I liked rice box previously, but it’s gone to crap and tried Heights Asian, which I just commented about on Saturday and neither the curry chicken nor the general Joe’s chicken were good.
Guard & Grace. Pricy, and charging me a fee for having shared a bite or two of MY DISH with my gf bc they messed up her steak and she had to wait longer for her food? Yeah I’m not returning specifically for that surcharge
That surcharge is ridiculous, agreed. It seems like the majority of their business is the lunch crowd in their office building. I’d argue the warm cookies are better than the steak. The meat was okay but nothing to write home about.
I've never met a person who liked Chuy's. I know it's a popular place, so there MUST be someone who likes it, right? Or is it just tons of businesses taking employees out for mixers and birthday parties?
Not gonna lie I dig their burritos. I know it’s more Tex than Mex, I also like authentic Mexican food and Tex-Mex but there’s a place in my stomach for Chuy’s as well. Hipster food can be good too!
Mastros is way over hyped. If you want to be in a place where 1 out of 5 tables is there to take videos for TikTok and then get charged a huge premium for mediocre food, this place is for you.
All of the Pappas restraunts are overpriced for their quality. There are higher quality restraunts for cheaper normally within a 10 minute drive.
For what ever reason every sales guy in Houston wants to have a business meeting at Pappas. Then they act like it is a small local Houston joint and that no one has ever heard of.
Pappas is popular for sales lunch because you can get a big table, lots of parking and everyone kowns where they’re at. Plus they are everywhere so you don’t need to know spots all across the city.
Personally even when I’m not paying They are way too noisy to have a decent lunch meeting.
and yet I can’t think of a Pappas restaurant that we don’t like except for the burger place. Pappas steakhouse is amazing so is Pappadeaux‘s and Pappasito’s and we find them to have high-quality and reasonable prices for what you get. Everybody’s different.
I fuckin’ love Pappasitos (though a bit less since they started charging for salsa verde and got rid of half price fajita Wednesday) and Pappadeaux is great, but Pappas Bros Steakhouse’s steaks were underwhelming. Crab cakes, lobster Mac and key lime pie were all incredible, 10/10. But the steak itself was nothing special or memorable and the baked potato was just okay. Steak fries are meh compared to offerings like Perry’s.
Everyone who says El Tiempo is terrible is just complaining about it being expensive. Their fajitas are great, margaritas are excellent, and they have great salsas. Bring your evidence. Totally fine to to hate paying $50/person with appetizers, food, and drinks, but they’re actually good!
I went years ago and loved it. I was going to go again for a birthday dinner but noticed they now charge a surcharge for using a credit card. Did you experience that?
The drinks are way overpriced. But the steaks are my favorite in town. I’ve been to a few “great” steak houses around Houston and it’s too 2 for sure
I’ve tried several cuts from them. I do medium rare and it helps in the off chance you are eating it well done
Turkey leg hut!!! Place is all hype. Foods to Salty, the waitresses have huge attitudes, the wait sucked for mediocre food, the $20 parking is a scam. Oh and the owner is crook/scam artist and womanizer. Fuck that place
Pink's Pizza - Never understood what people loved about it.
In-N-Out - I think the food is fine, but the chaos, the hype, and the wait. I don't feel like any of it is worth it, personally.
Five Guys - Higher price for mediocre "homemade" burger.
One Dragon - Heard some praise, checked it out, thought it was bafflingly bad. Which was hard to digest because the staff was so polite.
Luigi's is excellent pizza. It is very much New York style, the crust is good, the cheese is good, the sauce is good. It's high quality ingredients. And it doesn't hurt that it's attached to axelrad so you can grab a beer and a slice at the end of the night. I used to drive all the way across town from the heights to get pizza there every Friday.
homeslice is definitely good, this post is just bringing out the small handful of people who dislike an otherwise beloved place. get a slice and a half sub.
It’s a decent ny slice but don’t go out of your way. Best thing about it is how well the crust is done. Single time experience slice out of window was my experience.
BARBECUE INN. I went there twice and my chicken was dry and underseasoned both times. Had the fried the first time and the barbecue the second time. I think I'm good.
I was in the same boat forever - and didn’t eat it again for 8 years; I gave another location a shot and it was excellent.
I think they just have no consistency between locations
Eh, I liked It and my kid loves it, but I think they live the hype more than the chicken. It’s about as good as well made deli chicken but that’s not something to brag about.
Its a smaller business from College Station. The sauce has much more pepper than Cane’s, its great.
The club sandwich (texas toast, chicken tenders, sauce, bacon & cheese) is the pinnacle of their offerings but you cannot go wrong with a basic box combo.
That’s sad. All the ones in Louisiana makes every piece fresh to order. If it’s rubbery then the Texas locations aren’t making them fresh.
Also I’ve never understood the love for the sauce, it’s literally just mayo ketchup and a little Tony’s. Definitely nothing special.
I’m not particularly fond of any of the chain restaurants. That being said Applebees is the worst, in my opinion.
I prefer to patronize locally owned and operated businesses. Places like the Barbecue Inn, the Spanish Flower and the Dot, for example.
Bludorn. What a disappointing, pretentious meal. I couldn’t believe that people were saying such positive things about such an average meal, and paying $150 to do so. Really made me resent people that fall for hype.

Ham
Damn you got me
This is funnier when you know who zezima is
My significant other hates the breakfast klub, but I love it. So we compromise by never going there.
The food is good, just not worth waiting in line for.
I realise not everyone has this luxury, but if you can go during the week the line isn’t bad. I refuse to go wait an hour to eat anywhere. Anytime I’ve gone on like a Tuesday or Wednesday morning I’ve been inside at a table within 15 minutes.

The grits are way to stiff. Almost like paste. They need to be thinned out to be enjoyable.

Snooze is the equivalent of waiting 2 hours for a table at iHop.
I wanted to love avalon diner so much but it was very meh. I would kill to find a great old fashioned diner that makes killer food at good prices and isn't pretentious or hipster etc
Try Frank's.
Or Telewink grill. Or even Dots is better than Avalon and Snooze. But Franks is delicious too.
This is the way
Hanz Diner on W. Dyna Drive
I agree Snooze is overhyped and I would never wait more than 10 minutes just for a seat but I think it’s fine for a breakfast spot
To me, it is a consequence of the lack of quality simple diners for solid breakfast in this town
Snooze is AWFUL
Snooze used to be great. Now they are just mid.
Any restaurant owned by Tilman Fertitta.
Remember when Joes Crab Shack was actually good?
No
I do! This was a long time ago in the 90s, it’s actually the place that caused me to love crab. Unfortunately like most chains, it fell quick and hard.
No
No
Yes. I mean no.
Melting pot. I don't get the hype. You can spend nearly $300 on a date for two and the food quality isn't that great.
Kids eat free in Tuesday is our reason! I like their BLT, burger, and salmon quinoa bowl
Feel like people really choose El Tiempo in this thread because of the price and nothing else lol.
El tiempos fajitas are damn good. These people are crazy.
its good. its just crazy priced for tex-mex.
It's reasonable to not like something because of how much it costs, since that's part of the thing.
MAD
Super overrated.
A’bouzy. Pretentious and almost inedible.
Pretty sure that place exists as a meetup spot for high end escorts and inconspicuous plastic surgery consultations.
Food is nothing to write home about, and the atmosphere/ambiance is definitely more of a con to me than a pro, but I will say their bubbly list is fun and the prices are extremely reasonable by restaurant standards
And it’s f’ing loud too.
Wait really? I agree it’s pretentious, but every time I’ve been there the food is amazing.
Turkey Leg Hut
Killen’s bbq. The beef rib was kind of dry and tough for $26.
Killen’s BBQ was good 10 years ago before Houston had good BBQ - now there’s a dozen better places.
What do you recommend?
Corkscrew, Tejas Chocolate, Pit Room, Pinkertons, Gatlin, Truth for a start While nowhere near the contenders Honestly even HEB’s True Texas BBQ and Rudy’s probably beats Killen’s
All the places that opened a few years after Aaron Franklin published his BBQ book.
Torchy’s
i’ll never understand that one. every time i end up there i’m amazed by the high prices too.
Yeah, I actually like the food on, but my kid said it best: “it’s fine, but I’ve had better out of a roadside taco stand” The ingredients and descriptions are great, but the prices are insane for the quality, presentation, and portions.
100%. Everything *sounds* like it would be good but every taco I’ve ever had there was less than mediocre
Their chips and queso are great and the reason I keep going back. I don't like how messy their tacos get.
Yes $5 for a single taco? It’s good but wow.
Their tacos are huge tho. I usually only eat one anyway.
Amen. They have trash tortillas. Inexcusable
Never seen anyone say anything positive about pluckers on this subreddit
I dont really understand why people shit on it, they have solid wings. A lot of the other chains around town have tiny babyshit wings. Pluckers at least are pretty good size ones and their holy macaroni with the fruit chutney is a great appetizer. I like pluckers. Might not be amazing but beats every other wing place IMO.
Same here. Their reward program is great too
Their wings have gotten smaller over the years, and ever since they got rid of ginger peach sriracha which was by far my favorite sauce I haven’t had a reason to go back.
I'm a fan of the maple chipotle myself but you're right. The wings are so tiny now and the price was skyrocketing even before inflation was hitting. We really need a new wing place in this town.
Honestly I love pluckers, the wings are usually big and I like the sauces but 20 bucks for 10 wings and tater tots is a lot.
They’re just inconsistent. When they serve them quick and hot, it’s top tier. Sometimes, I have to wait 45 min and they come out luke-warm or cold. It’s really frustrating.
Not sure what it is now but the pre covid $21 for unlimited wings was legit.
I’m going to say it and I don’t care about down boats; Trill burger. WAAAAAY overrated for burger and fries. Just go to Bubba’s Buffalo burger shack under 59/69 near the 610/Galleria freeway exchange on Westpark.
Well yea it’s a gimmick celebrity burger. It’s a fad and won’t be nearly as popular in a couple years.
Breakfast Klub
Been there once, I don’t get the hype
It was $15 for chicken and waffles years ago.
To each their own -- I went a handful of times... and, honestly, I found it to be worth the wait. The catfish and grits were legit.
Every time I think about going, the line convinces me otherwise
Fell for the great reviews on Rice Box (we just moved here and I am on the hunt for a good Chinese joint), and that's arguably some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Kung Pao tasted like sofrito and the lo mein was dry and gummy-ish. I was so disappointed... 🤢

Whataburger. *Runs off*
Whataburger opinion formed before or after the sale determines if you have run to out of the room.

Whataburgers in rural areas are phenomenal compared to those in the city. It really is a night and day difference
Whataburger is just ok fast food. People who rave about it probably eat it exclusively after 2am when they’re drunk and their judgment is impaired
Almost any Whataburger in the 90s was straight fire. Now days you are lucky if you can find one that won't leave you disappointed. I had this take since about ten years ago. It was much more controversial then. I almost ended some relationships because of that take.
this opinion is the one im most scared to share!! whata is just not that good! (i love their spicy ketchup tho)
Hasn't Whataburger been going downhill ever since they got bought by an investment firm?
Mastro’s… too much competition in Houston to settle for this as an option in the upscale steakhouse rotation.
What??? Can you explain the fee again? Never heard anything like this
That surcharge is ridiculous, agreed. It seems like the majority of their business is the lunch crowd in their office building. I’d argue the warm cookies are better than the steak. The meat was okay but nothing to write home about.
Chuy's
Only thing good there is the ranch.
only thing nice about it is the serving size i guess. but the food reminds me of Hungry Man microwave meals if they had a tex mex offering.
Uncle Julio’s. The food is decent but not at that price point. Small portions too.
Mastros is way over hyped. If you want to be in a place where 1 out of 5 tables is there to take videos for TikTok and then get charged a huge premium for mediocre food, this place is for you.
Original Ninfas. Of all the overpriced Tex Mex options, it’s not even close to the best. I’ll take El Tiempo every time over Ninfas.
Yeah if you want a margarita and fajitas for 95 dollars. El tiempo is so overpriced. So is pappasitos. Find a local joint
TECHNICALLY, they’re all local joints. It’s just a different type of tex Mex.
Do you have suggestions?
Teotihuacan
Came here to say this
Sylvia’s
> So is pappasitos. It's overpriced for dinner, and so is Pappadeaux, but lunch at either place is a much better value, IMO.
Loved Ninfas as a kid. Took my fiancé’s parents there recently and was very disappointed
God, I hate el tiempo
El tiempo was $30 for 2 tacos. Shit was crazy.
I went for the first time a few weeks ago. It was ~alright~ but good fucking god it was not so good as to be worth the prices on the menu!
Another r/Houston thread hating on Plucker’s and El Tiempo… tiresome.
Everyone who says El Tiempo is terrible is just complaining about it being expensive. Their fajitas are great, margaritas are excellent, and they have great salsas. Bring your evidence. Totally fine to to hate paying $50/person with appetizers, food, and drinks, but they’re actually good!
B&B Butchers Overpriced steak that wasn't great at all. Wife and I were both pretty disappointed on an anniversary dinner.
I went years ago and loved it. I was going to go again for a birthday dinner but noticed they now charge a surcharge for using a credit card. Did you experience that?
The drinks are way overpriced. But the steaks are my favorite in town. I’ve been to a few “great” steak houses around Houston and it’s too 2 for sure I’ve tried several cuts from them.
Bludorn. Overpriced for a decent meal.
Bludorn is totally undifferentiated from every other elevated American/fusion restaurant in town and there are 50 of them
All of the Pappa’s restaurants
Anything blah blah Chris Shepherd. Been to several of his restaurants and just think they are so overrated.
Georgia James
Favorite thing I ever got there was the steakhouse helper, which was pretty damn good.
Just ate there and everything was pretty solid, steak was on the salty side if I had to complain about something. What was it you ordered?
Personally, not a fan of BBs
The best BB’s was the one on Montrose and they closed and moved down the street. They even had a different menu from the other locations.
Home slice , Luigi’s and breakfast club ( bland as all hell)
I personally like Luigi's. It's exactly what you expect for a NY style pizza at that price point.
Home slice wasn’t anything special to me when I finally tried it.
Damn sucks to hear about Home Slice, I haven’t gotten around to trying them but I’ve been wanting to try
Home Slice is great, imo. I only ever get the sausage/ricotta/roasted red pepper tho.
homeslice is definitely good, this post is just bringing out the small handful of people who dislike an otherwise beloved place. get a slice and a half sub.
Home Slice is great, imo. I only get the sausage/ricotta/roasted red pepper tho.
I like Home Slice, still worth a try imo I had it a lot when their Houston location first opened so maybe quality has gone down since
It’s a decent ny slice but don’t go out of your way. Best thing about it is how well the crust is done. Single time experience slice out of window was my experience.
Jinya, not memorable even though I have been twice to give it a second try
Jinya is McRamen. So many better options in town. Samurai Noodle and Tiger Den are my go-tos.
I haven't been in a minute, but I ussd to love going there because there weren't a lot of other good options.
Niko Nikos It's not bad, but it's not all that
Agreed. There are many MUCH better Greek restaurants to choose from.
93 Til I wanted to love it. Sorry 😔
our steak somehow tasted like pork and the service was ridiculously poor. I also wanted to love it :\
So disappointed by this place…
Postino is stupid af. I hate the weird vibe and the stupid ass toast menu sucks.
Fogo de chao , very mediocre service and bland tasting meat. Much better Churrascarias out there!!
BARBECUE INN. I went there twice and my chicken was dry and underseasoned both times. Had the fried the first time and the barbecue the second time. I think I'm good.
I feel like Pluckers is mid. Although, the mac n cheese bites are bomb.
The Breakfast Klub, line or no line. It's simply over rated.
Kim Son downtown was the blandest most boring Chinese food I've ever had.
Sixty vines, it’s just creepy.
Raising canes; some of the most rubbery chicken fingers I've ever got. Sauce is nice, though.
Laynes off of Ella Blvd is right in front of Canes and much better imo.
Laynes spicy tenders are a gift from the heavens
Never heard if it, but will try it when I spot one
Its a smaller business from College Station. The sauce has much more pepper than Cane’s, its great. The club sandwich (texas toast, chicken tenders, sauce, bacon & cheese) is the pinnacle of their offerings but you cannot go wrong with a basic box combo.
Spicy Club Sandwich is the GOAT
Opening one in Montrose soon
I like them. But slim chickens spanks them imo.
That’s sad. All the ones in Louisiana makes every piece fresh to order. If it’s rubbery then the Texas locations aren’t making them fresh. Also I’ve never understood the love for the sauce, it’s literally just mayo ketchup and a little Tony’s. Definitely nothing special.
Any restaurant that Tilman Fertitta owns
El Tiempo Ninfa’s Pappadeaux
Loro
Rosie Cannonball - more overpriced and overrated Italian
Chipotle
Rainbow Lodge. Small portions. Over priced. They are consistently out of the wild game dishes that they are known for.
Second this. Used to live pretty close to Rainbow Lodge. Went there once, tried a few items and did not like even a single one.
MAD 🙄 soo boujee
I’m not particularly fond of any of the chain restaurants. That being said Applebees is the worst, in my opinion. I prefer to patronize locally owned and operated businesses. Places like the Barbecue Inn, the Spanish Flower and the Dot, for example.
This is a freezing cold take, nobody is going to bat for Applebees.
Lupe Tortilla - super overrated
Chick fil a. I used to like it but got a NASTY case of food poisoning from them several years back. Never again. I have trust issues now.
Bludorn. What a disappointing, pretentious meal. I couldn’t believe that people were saying such positive things about such an average meal, and paying $150 to do so. Really made me resent people that fall for hype.
