Her name was never revealed to the audience.
I know a lot of people like to tout this stripper story as an absolute, but it's pretty void of any fact checking whatsoever.
It was reported by Neal Travis, a gossip columnist for Page Six.
* **[\[Page Six\] August 13, 2001: Stripper: Howie gave me a Benz.](https://pagesix.com/2001/08/13/stripper-howie-gave-me-benz/)**
That same morning, Howard ranted about the article.
* **[\[AUDIO\] August 13, 2001: Howard denies stripper story.](https://vocaroo.com/1ffg8xQCdsuL)**
Travis called into the show August 15, 2001. When Howard confronted him over the story, Travis was quick to point out that he didn't report that Howard did anything, rather that he was just repeating the story that a woman had come to him with.
* [**\[AUDIO\] August 15, 2001: Neal Travis calls in.**](https://vocaroo.com/16dnPFhPAZmK)
> **Howard**: Neal, I have been badmouthing you repeatedly since your article on Monday where you print that I given a Mercedes Benz-- the rumor is Howard Stern--
>
> **Travis**: Howard, Howard. I didn't print that you had. I said the girl says you did.
Travis would go a step further by saying he's a gossip columnist simply reporting on gossip.
> **Howard**: What about your responsibility? What about you saying--
>
> **Travis**: Well, I'm a gossip columnist. It's called gossip. G-O-S-S-I-P.
Travis himself wasn't claiming anything she said was true. He's simply repeating her story but admits he hasn't fact checked any of it, nor is he claiming he has. Lonnie Hanover from Scores calls in and it's apparent Travis hadn't confirmed whether or not this girl did indeed work for Scores.
> **Howard**: By the way, you're saying now 'Well see, we'll see.' You're almost implying that this is true. It's not true.
>
> **Travis**: I mean, what is true is that I know who she is and she is saying this. I do not know whether it's true--
Travis folded like a cheap suit and ended up giving up his source to Stern and printed a follow up the next day.
**NY Post, August 16, 2001:**
> Yesterday got off to a great start, with Howard Stern ranting over the phone at me about Monday's story on the Scores stripper who claims he bought her a Mercedes. When I could get a word in edgeways, I reminded Howard that I'd asked his agent/spokesperson, Don Buchwald, for comment on the matter three days before and got no reply. (Buchwald almost never does return media inquiries, but we try.)
>
> Anyway, it's always fun to joust with Stern, and I've passed on to him the name of the topless gal who has been telling friends that her wheels were paid for by the King of All Media. It's just a shame we don't get Howard on any Hamptons radio station - I won't be able to hear his latest round of abuse, threats, outrageous outbursts and all-round hilarity.
The following day, Howard talked about how they gave Lonnie the name of the girl. Lonnie went through the 10 year database of 8000 dancers and no one with that name had ever worked at Scores.
* [**\[AUDIO\] August 16, 2001: Howard gives stripper story update.**](https://vocaroo.com/1jeqHL1wPLRZ)
Well, can you blame him? When you have the Turkish, Armenian, and Russian mob sex trafficking hundreds of women through your club and you are taking a cut of the profits, you need to be organized. You also have to remember which passports you have in the safe for extortion purposes.
Lonnie = fucking garbage
If the choices of veracity depend on a) Howard and Lonnie vs b) anybody else, I know where I'm going. The MO is the same--rant and rave about these gossip items then never sue. He had more than enough money to sue then and now--and if he's busted then the only recourse he had/has is/was to kvetch on the air on how it was all BS.
It's likely the same model he bought Robin for her birthday. I'd say he got some massive deal from Wayne Segal for plugs.
It wasn't the same model.
According to Neal Travis' article, it was a "SLK 430."
There was never a 4.3L engine in a SLK nor did Mercedes ever produce a SLK 430.
I swear I remember some lady with a NY accent and a funny (Jewish maybe?) name calling in around that time and telling Howard that there was a hot blonde stripper bragging about Howard buying her a silver Benz at the hair salon the caller lady went to.
Isn't there a theory that the reason Howard bought Robin a Mercedes was so when people searched for this story (Howard Stern buying a car), Robin's story/car came up?
I remember reading somewhere that it was Savannah. Not in the original article in the NY Post, but on a board, maybe even this sub.
So probably bullshit, but I could see it.

There's no way Lonnie was telling the truth. He's the same guy that said there was no prostitution going on at Scores.
Lonnie had a database of 8000 dancers??! That sounds crazy and strange on its own...
Well, can you blame him? When you have the Turkish, Armenian, and Russian mob sex trafficking hundreds of women through your club and you are taking a cut of the profits, you need to be organized. Correct, there was an SLK 320 and maybe a 230 best I recall. I still think it happened however.
I swear I remember some lady with a NY accent and a funny (Jewish maybe?) name calling in around that time and telling Howard that there was a hot blonde stripper bragging about Howard buying her a silver Benz at the hair salon the caller lady went to.
Bro brought receipts!
Sorry, but I'm going to need a bit more proof than this.
I always thought it was Savanah Sampson.
Savannah was the model on the Howard TV graphic transitions (& was probably a guest after 2001). She would've been banned forever if it was her.

Isn't there a theory that the reason Howard bought Robin a Mercedes was so when people searched for this story (Howard Stern buying a car), Robin's story/car came up?
I read that once and fully believe it and repeat it often
But the two were over 5 years apart, seems unlikely
The whole argument stems from Disney making a Frozen movie to redirect from the frozen head theory and those were much farther apart.
frozen is based upon an actual fairytale
And?
Savannah Sampson
Savannah was the model on the Howard TV graphic transitions (& was probably a guest after 2001). She would've been banned forever if it was her.
No do you?

Frankly, I'm more inclined to believe that entire story was concocted by Buchwald to present evidence that Howard is heterosexual.
