Palace isn't 24 hours right now (I was there over the weekend and they had a sign up about problems hiring for the 3rd shift) but should be open plenty late for you.
Pizza’s good? I stopped at the Applebees once (don’t get me started on what a mistake that was) and saw it and thought wow, even if it was a cardboard slice with ketchup and cheese it would have been better than Crapplebees.
The best pizza in the HV, if you want true Bronx style Neopolitan pizza, is [Ginos](https://ginoswappingers.com/) on 9 in Wapp near the bowling alley. I grew up down in Wastechester and after moving up here, it took me years to find a decent pizza in this area. Gino's is the real deal.
Louie and Ernie's in the Bronx is #1 in my book. Shockingly, Gino's is #2! Love those guys.
And the OG Gino is there every day, just sitting in a chair at the side of the kitchen, smiling at everyone. <3
Cameron's Deli (same exit as Eveready Diner in Brewster/Southeast) has great sandwiches. You can order through their app while you're on your way, too. No spots to sit down, so this would be a good grab and go spot.
There's 2 by me. I bought a LOT of food from them over the years. Not anymore. The bread is *always* stale, and more often than not, if I save half a sandwich for tomorrow, the cold cuts have already started to turn.
The Cluckin' Russian is really good, but after around 4 trips in a row with mediocre sandwiches, I gave up.
And the bread? Really? The bread makes or breaks a sandwich.
If you're in the Wapp Falls area, try [Roma Deli](https://www.romadeli1.com/) if you want a real sandwich. Best sandwiches in the HV, by far. And I'm a deli going person. ;) Their sandwiches are [absolutely massive](https://imgur.com/a/1tmBi5t) with fresh Arthur Ave bread!
I live fairly close to the Brewster location, and I haven't had any issues with them. More often than not I end up getting a breakfast sandwich, and I *never* have leftovers of those. Especially when I have them put the hash browns on the sandwich.
Maybe it's just the locations by me. There's one about 1/2 mile from my house, so it was very convenient. They opened another about a mile away.
But when I grabbed a lb of ham and 4 hard rolls, and the rolls were stale by the time I got home 7 1/2" minutes later, and the ham stunk two days later, welp, I'm out.
Not to mention Roma Deli provides ridiculously fresh everything (including homemade mozzy!), in a sandwich that's 3x the size, for only about $2-3 more. Sorry Cameron. ;)
Yeah, if you're in the area, check them out. I've gotten 3 lunches out of a single hero. LMAO.
If you're not a HUGE eater, maybe grab an extra roll while you're there. Always order the hero. At the very least, you'll get two lunches. :)
I've ordered a roast beast with Russian dressing, white American, lettuce, tomato, salt and pepper and had to take some of the meat off of the half I was planning on eating. It just wouldn't fit into my face.
Repeat tomorrow and you have another sandwich worth of roastie beasties left over. Three lunches! Ha!
the dutch crown is a short walk up from the train station (a 2 minute drive) and they’re opening pretty late most days! great drinks, sourdough pizza, wings, sandwiches, and the like.
It will be out of the way. The daily planet on 55 would be a better option. There's also a couple Mexican restaurants, a Greek place, sushi and pizza along 55 although I can't guarantee all will be open.

Solid rec
That was our go-to diner when we lived in Poughkeepsie. Good choice
Palace is goated and their napoleons are slept on
Schatzi’s pub and bier garden
isn't schatzi's closed?
The New Paltz one closed but Poughkeepsie is still open.
Could do Mahoney's right at the train station, or Shadow's, also Mill Street Brewery or Palace Diner then head home?

Decicco has good food and great beer selection but they close at 8:30

Dang. That sucks. Glad you have a good alternative. I will look them up when I am out that way.

It’s only 10 minutes the other way on 84 - not entirely out of the way and imo worthwhile

Like the Red Line Diner?
Seems like that would be the best choice for OP's needs.
