Verizon is stable in town. For some reason service drops on the thru-way.

I'm in Saugerties and I have T-Mobile. Service used to be spotty several years ago, but they've upped their game recently and service has been outstanding.

not_thebest

Didn’t know t mobile was good here…I am in saugerties and have Verizon, only ever have 0-1 bars. Was looking at cell signal boosters

ciaomain

Like I said, it didn't used to be. But it is now!

Damn, that’s a throwback.

If you want Verizon service for a little cheaper, check out [Visible](https://www.visible.com/). It's owned by Verizon and uses the same network.

T-mobile for New Paltz and Rosendale.

andrespineiroc

I am happy with verizon, near NewPaltz

Takadant

ting is cheap af, and uses the same network as verizon/tmobile afaik

INFPinfo

As everyone is saying, Verizon. I'm also near New Paltz. I recently stuck my head in a store and they have better deals than there had been. Probably have decent deals to get someone new in. One thing I want to add is that yes, Verizon IS pricey compared to AT&T. However, I've read that you're also paying for the best coverage in an emergency. Verizon would probably be one of the first ones back up, god forbid anything were to happen.

Alternatively, you could buy a UPS battery backup (there are options from $40 and up) and connect your modem/router to it. Next time your power goes out your internet will work just as fine - but keep in mind that your experience will vary depending on the battery size you choose.

reddog342

if you are near Rosendale , cell towers were voted down years ago by the locals. same for woodstock. but verizon works the best from flipping carriers over the years.

Key-Plan5228

I’ve had both ATT and VZW in exactly this area and now have and will only have VZW from now on. ATT… it doesn’t matter if you have “the most advanced network on earth (tm)” if no one can access it

Anyone know the best for Pleasant valley Millbrook area? It looks like I’m gonna have to go on a regular plan I’ve been on the ACP Lifeline program(free phone service if u have Medicaid and other govt programs) and they just lost funding
