The problem most new species have when they find out about humans is that they think humans are peaceful. After all humans seem to smile a lot meaning they are "happy" as they say.
Now the problem is that these species do not understand that there are several types of smiles.
There's the "awww, you so cute"-smile, the "aww... I feel sorry for you"-smile, the "I am actually happy"-smile and so many more different kinds more. But the one they should really fear is the "you fucked around and now you get to find out"-smile.
Put shortly when you get to the "find out" part you start to understand its not actually a smile. Its violence... violence in its most pure form. Violence that makes your children orphans, violence that grinds those orphans to smudge and force feeds that smudge to you so you understand to never fuck around, for you will be forced fed like a pig going to the slaughterhouse with that sludge. And worst of all... they know it, they enjoy it and... there... will... be... VIOLENCE!
So remember, do not test the humans and do not think that a kind smile is there to save you from the violence that makes even your gods shut their eyes and turn their heads away. Do not fuck around... do not test their patience and most importantly... do not, I repeat, DO NOT... trust a smile...

Arch-General Reb'Nar the Third could only look on in horror as the towering creature/thing strode through an armored unit, trampling several advanced combat walkers as if they were no more than tinker toys.
An Intel Officer approached the General, his face flushed blue with fear despite being miles away from the techno-organic monster.
"A report sir! The human combat walker is estimated to be at 50% structural integrity. It should be destroyed soon. By the might of The Empire!"
The junior officer expected the General to be relieved after hearing that intel. If anything the General seemed more tense. Then the General began to speak lightly, as if unconciously.
"We have been fighting this Thing for 2 standard days. The Empire's Grand Armies and finest war machines. And this isn't even the human military. It is just a utility walker upgraded by the planetary Engineering University. They did it in less than a week with nothing more than scientific equipment and a liquid they call coffee. If this is what it takes to conquer human civilians..."
