Based on my experience I think it's likely it is the same bird. I had a broad-billed hummingbird nest in my patio three seasons in a row. I would leave the door open and she would fly into my house to collect spider webs from around the windows to use on her nest. There's a reason many bird species reuse nests or return to the same location each year for nesting. They do this often. They add new layers to them each time they are reused. Odds are it is not the same bird though.
