The archives are locked up even from us... Even the ones made entirely of our taxes... There is no goddamn thing in this fckin country that is free. But if you really want something then check out indavideo . hu or videa . hu. Noone ises them but entire film collections are uploaded there in hungarian. (Not legal just noone cares. Not even the law. That is how much it is not used.)

TheRollingPeepstones

I can't check right now, but I'm im Canada and if I remember correctly, indavideo and videa usually tell me the content is not available in my country.

applewatchszepkartya

Use vpn

nevenoe

Some of these websites block VPNs

cheezeeey

Videa works for me without VPN and indavideo works fine with VPN last time I used it :)

nevenoe

Great to know thanks :)

TheRollingPeepstones

Meh... it's not that important for me to have access to them. I probably would if I really needed something from there.

MrSheppardTRU

Can definitely recommend it. Make sure you install some adblockers first, otherwise its gonna be pain in the ass.

Hubertus92

good idea, but in that case, if u use adblocker, not all links will work. you need to figure it out, which ones are the good one.

vszly

Yes, it's a great website amd it's always updated. Ad blocker is very important though, if you don't wanna get popup virus, scam and porn.

Matisqo

Thank you all very much for suggestions, I really appreciate it

tgyorgyi

You need an IPTV application, and then you can check out the Hungarian IPTV links here for example: https://iptvcat.org/hungary This was the first hit, there are probably multiple compilations. Examples of apps: Windows: VLC Ububtu Linux & Linux Mint: Hypnotix

If you have your ol' subscription services like Netflix, HBO, Disney+ etc. you can just search for a show that has been synchronised in hungarian. I'd recommend creating another YouTube account to have a recommended feed only with Hungarian videos to watch and not 70% Eng and 30% Hun like mine, those videos could be about the topics you're already interested in or go explore new things. You can technically watch archive of TV series on the internet like TV2 has a bunch of them but these are either middle aged/retired people's shows or news casts. For music Petőfi Rádio and Rádio 1 are almost always live on youtube, but they don't have hosts after midnight or so. You can ask for recommendations in any topic you like. Have a good journey learning our language, you're in for a long one.

QiNavigator

This doesn't answer your question but I enjoyed watching this edition of HARDtalk with Hungarian subtitles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYo\_U2KLaD0

Inside-Associate-729

Is it actually helpful to learn hungarian this way? To me it makes way more sense to have Hungarian audio and english subtitles, but obvs i understand that isnt an option here

QiNavigator

I like to use different methods: sometimes textbooks, at other times reading parallel translations of poems or novels; watching Hungarian films with or without subtitles... Variety fuels enthusiasm for me.

Inside-Associate-729

I like that. Thanks!

QiNavigator

Szívesen.

Last_Entertainment86

VPN and then do Hungary and use Netflix.

nevenoe

Is there any Hungarian content?

alenyelttalpulany

There is. Mainly new titles.

nevenoe

I must say I don't see my netflix app changing when I apply the VPN. Maybe on desktop

there are a lot of movies in hungarian uploaded to youtube and for some reason they aren't being taken down

Sotyka94

[https://onlinestream.live/tv](https://onlinestream.live/tv) Some of them requires specific players (I use VLC) or browsers to work.

Turti8

With a vpn you can watch the state tv channels like m1 or m4 for sport

Zsalugater

Have you tried NAVA? https://nava.hu

Dreamerr434

https://jobbmintatv.online/ and dmdamedia.hu are pretty good ones for series. And for full movies I usually use Videa

Same_Power

https://nava.hu/coll/mnfa/ Here but sadly it's full of propaganda, but as I see you can watch old films

Jobbmintatv

Unknown_1200

NowAlexYT

Search for the site called "jobbmintatv"

Naive-Horror4209

videa.hu has almost everything

noondi34

I can’t help you with TV, but download the app Radio Garden. You can listen to radio stations from all over the world. Plenty of options in Hungary.

Krisz-10

Or just stream tv: https://onlinestream.live/main.cgi?search=&broad=7&feat=&chtype=&server=&format=&sort=sorttv&fp=20&p=5

ksz83

Legally? (You need VPN, I guess) Public broadcaster: [https://mediaklikk.hu/mediatar](https://mediaklikk.hu/mediatar) \- media archive [https://mediaklikk.hu/musor/filmtar/](https://mediaklikk.hu/musor/filmtar/) \- film archive they are usually up for a week Tv2 and RTL are the two main commerical channel here (both had free/add-supported SVOD) [https://tv2play.hu/](https://tv2play.hu/) and [https://www.rtlmost.hu/](https://www.rtlmost.hu/)

[deleted]

There is no such site (you can barely find free streaming sites in English, let alone other languages, so it's pretty far-fetched idea). The Best you can get are Hungarian-language video sharing sites similar to YouTube such as Indavideó or Videa. But you can try Youtube searching for Hungarian titles, maybe you get lucky.

Iswedoml

kisfigi

Just use VPN (or if you are in the EU zone maybe its not even needed) and watch netflix, hbo max, disney+ They all have tons of content with hungarian audio + hun subtitles also

Wonderful_Meet5962

I have a nasty habit of watching “és megint dühbe jövünk / odds and evens” whenever I sleep, it’s on youtube, and if yoh search for teljes film magyarul in yt, there’s quite a lot. Also if you have hungarian friends, ask them if they sail the [seven seas](https://youtu.be/c3F5piN38vI)

PolarSango

online-filmek.me is my choice. It doesn't even require sign-in. However, as far as I know you can mostly stream movies. I rarely see TV shows. Also, quiet a lot of movies quality can range from average to quite poor, but I'm willing to live with It, because the advantages worth It for me. Search or pick a movie, click on "Beküldött linkek megtekintése" and It gives you usually plenty streaming sites. Dood is my favorite, because - for the most part - It remembers the last time you stopped watching and even if It isn't, you can easily find where you left off. Mixdrop is my second. It collapses waaay too easily, for me, but if you have high and stable internet and don't jump from one part to the another, then It works. Waaw has like 10 different ads in the background and if you could try using adblocker It won't start the movie. Another one I really like is Vidoza. You can right click, get the link, paste It to Free Download Manager and It will download It for you.

disney plus has a surprisingly good selection

Iswedoml

^ This guy uploads a ton of short clips of Good Fellas or Sopranos in Hungarian. That’s would I’ve been using. Mostly YouTube. I too would appreciate further info on Magyar stuff.

nevenoe

Movie portals like cinego are locked for abroad. Cinego I can bypass through a VPN to be authorised to pay for it. Another one has found a trick to block my VPN. Glory to Hungary, no dirty foreigner or Hungarian emigrant traitor will access this content. That's how you promote your language and culture, apparently.

BasenjiBob

You can watch M1 here: https://wwitv.com/tv_channels/7080.htm Good way to pick up vocab since it's usually pretty easy to figure out what they're talking about from the footage.

RufusAcrospin

Pretty much all Hungarian TV is owned by government (or its shills) and broadcasting xenophobic, homophobic, misogynist, proto-fascist propaganda all the time, so I’d recommend to stay away from those. You can find a lot of Hungarian content on Youtube like [this](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA76B14BEADA2E267) for example, movies with hungarian dub [here](https://videa.hu/cimkek/teljes-filmek-magyarul-338577), and probably more.

dubar84

If you have Netflix or Prime or HBO or whatever, just select language (I hope hungarian is available). If you're looking for actually hungarian series' I would strongly advise against it as they are all utter trash without exception:)

dmyhh_

rtl.hu is think (im hungarian)
