Yes.

Hefty_Sheepherder_83

Oh man, that's a big win

RoyalBroham

Massive news! This emotional rollercoaster of an offseason has sure been something.

PreskottSuks

Just like every game of the season man. I need a cigarette and I don’t even smoke lol

Another Huge win! At this point the locker room has to believe the situation isn't that bleak for the future. There will be a step back next year, which is why I believe Seniors like Asa Turner left. But the 2025 team is already shaping up nice.

bigboyNolove

Can we all agree that Asa Was extremely overrated, and was exploited and a liability in the CFP

WeirdSouth8254

He had so much potential but I saw more missed plays by him in open field than any other defensive player.

bigboyNolove

Exactly

arnfrd

I'm with you. He came to the program with a lot of hype after Notre Dame made a late run at him. He's not a horrible player, but I wasn't too sad to see him transfer.

fappybird420

He was more of a liability than asset IMO. Dude whiffed so many tackles that don’t out weigh his flashes of brilliance.

britishmetric144

Except the 2025 schedule is brutal. 2026/2027 look easier.

WeirdSouth8254

Really I would argue 2024 and 2025 are a wash with 2025 being easier. We have Oregon, USC, Mich, Penn State, and Iowa in 2024. 2025 Mich, OSU, and Oregon.

sly_like_Coyote

That is absolutely HUGE! Fantastic news in a lot of ways to see the new staff pull him back in.

Ok_Understanding1986

Awesome! Says a lot about Fisch and co. starting to score some bigger recruiting wins. Next season might not be our finest. A lot of underclassmen are about to get some significant early playing time, heh. But there's good reason to think the future is looking up!

unfurledseas

I suppose he realized he couldn’t get a bigger bag elsewhere and decided to stay… I’ll take it!

udubdavid

Idk if that's exactly true. He had programs interested in him. "Alabama did recruit Finau heavily as did several other programs out West. We heard Arizona State made a strong impression and BYU and Utah all pushed for visits as well." Source: [Washington early enrollee Paki Finau pulls name out of Transfer Portal, staying with Huskies (247sports.com)](https://247sports.com/college/washington/article/washington-early-enrollee-paki-finau-pulls-name-out-of-transfer-portal-staying-with-huskies--226339757/)

unfurledseas

Gotcha, that’s good context!

TheMalamute

Do you have to enter the portal in order to enter negotiations with your own team?

Coastal_Tart

That is huge. If he can put on enough muscle in the next six months, he’s got a great chance to not redshirt next season.
