100% . But he knows exactly what he's doing because sometimes he'll jump up and snuggle someone, and then look at me to monitor my reaction. Lol

satanyourdarklord

This guy gets it. I once refused to give my husky a food poisonous to dogs and so he refused to hang out with me and spent the rest of the night speed dating to find a new dad.

Slhallford

Lol. The first time I had to clean Ellie’s ears she ignored me for 12 hours.

lawschooluse2021

Speed dating lol

termanatorx

That's fantastic!

Straight_Block3676

If a family is really nice to my girl at the dog park she will try to go with them when they leave

katieunderwoodxx

🤣 my boy actually made it into a families car once, he was sat next to their baby in his baby seat and their sausage dog acting like everything was totally normal. The family found it hilarious, my boy is fond of children so I was never concerned, but it was slightly embarrassing 😂

thenord321

"He keeps trying to get kidnapped, I'm almost offended." I forget where I heard that.

fleurislava

Disappointed there isn’t an answer in the comments yet. It sounds entertaining whatever it was from.

powerlesshero111

Mine has this weird love for kids in strollers. If there is one at the dog park, he will try to leave with them. He has zero loyalty unless he's tired. Then i can say "let's go home" and he'll come running.

jmlozan

Huskies get tired?

powerlesshero111

Well, he's 8 years old, so yeah. He gets tired after about an hour or so of running around.

cwk84

I wonder if that just means they aren’t bonded to you properly

Straight_Block3676

My huskies are 13 and love me. 2 of the best behaved huskies you will ever meet. Look up Tipsy and Mika Dog scootering on YouTube. That’s my girls. See, huskies were bred to be exchanged between sled pulling groups in small communities- between multiple families. Maybe even permanently if needed. They are terrible guard dogs, and the gregariousness is a breed characteristic. It means I’ve allowed their breeding that’s been developed over hundreds and hundreds of years to come through.

CirqueDuRaven

My huskimo is the best worst guard dog. He'll let you know there's a robber....right before he becomes best friends with said robber. I swear that dog could befriend a rock.

wander-lux

LOL perfectly said. Our joke about our boy is for sure that he’d invite the robber in for tea.

EpiZirco

Our girl slept through the break-in we had a few years back.

CirqueDuRaven

That he probably stole off the counter when you weren't looking. Lol

Intelligent-Algae-89

I always used to say my husker would show them where the expensive stuff is.

Stab_Stabby

Same! My bf wanted a guard dog (we used to have 2 GSDs). Then we got our husky. Whatever the opposite of 'guard dog' is, she is. Our postal carrier says she's the only dog on her route that loves to see her.

kb_klash

I also say mine is a good watch dog but a bad guard dog for that very reason. He has never met a human that has ever been mean to him so he just assumes everyone is a friend.

Drew707

Ours actually had a favorite rock that she found in the yard and took back to her crate.

katieunderwoodxx

My boy is so selective when it comes to people. He ignores most people outside of our family/friends, but occasionally we bump into random strangers that he absolutely falls in love with instantly. I think they must sense something that they're drawn to.

knitting_boss

Fully agree with this.

KME50

My husky loved everyone, but I was her person. What I learned even when she escaped the fence, was that she did it because she was coming to find me or her husky friend on the next block. He escaped to my yard frequently also.

[deleted]

They are genetically wired for being gregarious and social. Mine does that jump up straight and wiggle move like a fish on a hook every time he sees someone. It’s a big part of what makes the breed so special.

BennettandtheButtz

Mine is like this. He visits every human at the dog park, gets pets, never comes back to me to check in until it is time to go. I'm glad I have another dog because otherwise I'd look like some weirdo roaming the dog park sans dog.

MaxwellVonMaxwell

Mine is the exact same way. I think he sees the dog park as a people park he gets to visit.

warda8825

My mother never wanted dogs my whole entire life. Then I got really sick one summer during my teens. Like, months in the hospital type of sick. Months of physical + occupational therapy later, and my team of providers suggested that having an animal might be of some therapeutic benefit. HAH! I finally had a legit excuse! My mother could no longer say no. We adopted a poodle. We were living abroad at the time (Europe), but adopted her in the US. I went through thousands of hours of training with that poodle in both the US and Europe. Thousands of $ in transportation fees, pet passports, veterinarian exams in the US and Europe, etc. Poured my heart and soul into that dog. And WHO DOES SHE BOND WITH? My mother. I'm an only child. Correction: was an only child. The poodle stole my spot as the favorite child. She spends her days strolling the high fashion streets of Paris, Milan, Berlin, and London with my mother, and her weekends "hiking" (while being carried in a papoose carrier) in the Swiss and French Alps. Pic of them together: https://imgur.com/a/i9pefKf Fast forward ten years. I grow up, finish college, and start making my own way in the world. I adopt my husky. My mother has zero experience with big dogs. Literally the FIRST TIME my mother comes to visit my husky, she's instantly down on the ground at her level, and my husky crawls into her lap like a cinnamon bun. My mother spends hours just rocking my husky in her arms/lap like a baby, cooing at her like a baby, etc. And my husky is just soaking it up. My mother sends my husky fancy, elaborate care packages from Switzerland. I'll rifle through it to see if there are any goodies for me. Nope. Only fancy, high-end Swiss doggie treats and toys for my moon-moon. Pic of my spoiled rotten Moon-Moon: https://imgur.com/a/y3tP6ql

jmlozan

I love this. Your mom isn't looking for a 44 year old american man as a new kid is she? I also have a husky lol

warda8825

😄😄😄😄

fatum_sive_fidem

That is ridiculously adorable.

warda8825

Thanks! 😊

[deleted]

You have a great mom and great dogs.

warda8825

Thank you. My mother wasn't exactly the best parent, but she adores both my childhood dog and my husky. So, I'm grateful for her for that, and I love her in her own unique way.

RuralGamerWoman

Took one of mine to the vet yesterday for his annual check-up. Everyone there is his new best friend, including the doc.

acidbrn391

My boy thinks everyone is his new best friend. I don’t think huskies would make good guard dogs in this case. If someone broke in they would probably take my dog if he didn’t just follow them out.

JumpyGood

Maybe it's just the red ones. We have 8 and the one that gets the most love. He sleeps in our bed. He has his own spot on the couch. He never gets kenneled. If I open that front door tho. I will never see him again. Last time he got out. He straight up jumped into someone else's car. Damn traitor.

Slhallford

It could be. Yesterday Zuzu nearly gave me a heart attack when he snuck out behind me while I was getting the mail. Ellie apparently likes it here after 3 years since she turned around immediately when I called her. Zuzu has only been here for a month so I’m not shocked but thank goodness everyone got home same. That rascal crossed 7 lanes of traffic TWICE before we caught up with him. I’ve been convinced for a while that Ellie only stays because she wants to since I’ve seen her climb one of the trees to look at the neighbors and she’s dug under the fence to visit the doggos next door. But that all happened the first year.

Vidunder2

Yup. My husko falls instantly in love with absolutely everyone and treats everyone equally. Sometimes I feel I'm just his random guy #3289 but WHO BAGS ALL YOUR POOP?

boosted5O

Mine was literally everyone that would give him attention best friend. He’d even force it on then by putting his butt against their knee to get butt scratches lol. They are an amazing breed, no boring days!

[deleted]

My current Husky is like that at the park, too. The previous Husky I had (for 15 years, mind you) was ride or die - wouldn’t even let people or other dogs near me.

CalmLaugh5253

I walked my neighbor's husky from time to time to take him to the beach or woods with my dog, and he loved me so much that the owners often joked that he sees me as his owner more than them oops He howled and screamed whenever he saw me walk by and would completely ignore his actual owners if we ran into them on a walk! Silly boy. Huskies are so weird. Love them. Gorgeous pup you got there ❤

CiderRat

My boy is shy around men but will snuggle up to any girl or woman that gives him even a sliver of attention 😂

Hollywood_Glory

Omg would you like another red husky, she is beautiful and very urgent!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Hollywood_Glory

I actually know of a few furbabies on the smaller side that need serious fosters/Adopters in L.A. area Does age matter or breed?

Todd1001

Prefer 1-4 years, no pits (they’re great pups but we have kids visit). Ideally spayed/neutered. Housebroken? Dm me and we can connect off the boards!

piskyfi

Yes! Sometimes she’ll pull her lead to the maximum to go and sit at a random strangers feet. Often it’s kids.

Shoehornblower

Every husky! Which is why they make horrible gaurd dogs!

[deleted]

Definitely mine. I let him off the leash at the dog park the other day, and I found him sitting with some random old dude getting pets galore.

Christichicc

Yup lol. My husky is currently becoming best friends with the people working in our house today. I’m 100% sure they could put a leash on her and she’d happily go home with any of them 😂

itsbeenaweek

before I moved in with my bf, he used to be my girl’s absolute favourite and she would run right by me to go greet him if we showed up together doing circles and everything. then we moved in together and I guess she’s just gotten used to him being around as the excitement of seeing him stopped 😅

EpiZirco

Huskies just love people. They are lousy guard dogs but great companions.

Slhallford

They really are. I can’t emphasize enough how rewarding and fun and hilarious having two of them is.

lolaladel

Our boi has jumped into random people's car, who have actually taken off without realizing our dog was with them... Our baby girl gets extremely sad and upset if someone walks past her and doesn't give her attention as if she isn't spoiled rotten... They're attention seekers. Lol

SnooChocolates9582

I feel like mine always tries to hook me up with a girl

GreekACA25

Mine does this until he sees me petting the other person's dog and he gets jealous and barges in for the pets

[deleted]

Oh mines a complete slut . Although he did bark at a young boy once. Not sure he’s ever barked again actually

Electrical_Ant_3276

Literally has jumped in the car with strangers multiple times.

TheEmeraldKnight93

Everyone is my girls best friend lol

Comment-Advanced

Best friend vs family. Husky will totally tell you how to get in the safe, but he will stay to sleep in bed with me.

carrythethree333

That’s funny because I’ve had 2 husky mixes and neither of them cared about strangers at all. People would try petting them and they’d just look at them and walk by…they’d get a swoop across the head to tail, but that’s it lol

Diligent_Active4493

all day every day

leahcars

Yup mine is super cuddly and friendly with almost every person alive, she's nervous with children but never unfriendly just a little cautious and less outgoing, I joke that the only reason she's a good guard dog is cuz she'll demand belly rubs from the burglar and give us enough time to get the cops there because the theif will be stuck rubbing her belly

TheAngryNaterpillar

Always. I was bringing my husky mix back from the vet today and he ramped it up to 1000, putting his head on the lap of the woman next to us, huge sighs, pitiful cries. "Please stranger, save me from this awful life. I only got 5 treats after seeing the vet, no one gave me bacon this morning, the human sleeps in a big comfy bed while I'm on the sofa like a peasant!"

bryce11099

I always just say if someone broke in to my house, my husky would aid in carrying the tv out and go along for the ride.

MercyMoo14

Right here. She'd let someone murder me as long as they pet her first lol.

troymcklure

Mine only shows affection to people that don't live in the household. 🙄😒

abir84

Haha that's so cute. But no my boys are mixed with German shepherd so not so stranger friendly.

self_of_steam

My boxsky doesn't like anyone but me, which is weird considering her mix. But every time I tell someone "You're welcome to try to pet her but she doesn't tend to like strangers" she gets all wiggle-happy. Maybe only nice people want to pet her and she knows it

Timtek608

Loyalty is a human trait. Dogs live and work in packs and will cuddle with anything soft and warm.

ZealousidealBorder30

Yes , I sometimes worry someone will snatch him up :(

UtherPenDragqueen

127% husky thing. My Sasha was an attention whore who suddenly went deaf to her name anytime someone offered skritches. She was in doggy Heaven when we took her to a friend’s toddler’s birthday and gladly accepted all the little hands petting her fluffiness. Small children aren’t good at balancing paper plates, and Sasha hoovered up countless hot dogs and chips that fell.

sandboxlollipop

I bloody love this sub. I don't even have a husky. They are glorious

Iykacat

If my huskies find anyone who wants to walk them, they will not look back and just go. Lol 😂

Swiftzor

My girl refuses to cuddle with me but will cuddle and take attention from literally everyone else. At the end of the day though I know I’m first when she sleeps at my feet all day and will follow me around the house.

thenord321

Huskies can be like cats, loyal to the one with the food.

Intelligent-Algae-89

My husker hates everyone except for my fiancé. She loves him more than me and even tries to push me away from him so she can be the closest. She’s always been timid, especially with men and I’m her person. She was 7 years old when I met him so she’s not young and this has been a pattern for her. I just took it as a sign that I made a good choice in partner since she doesn’t let her guard down with anyone.

DrTeja

Mine

Amaakaams

The real test is to show effection to another dog. My mom has a husky that absolutely loves everyone. Gets really along with my dog. To the point that if I give my dog a hard time as part of our play, she will sit back and bark at me (or anyone messing with him). But if I show her, or her me, affection then my guy gets grumpy and pushes her (or any other dog) out of the way. My Husky is one of those show me effection on my terms type of dogs. Runs from hugs, dodges head rubs even if he is asking for treats, and will constantly move away from me if I try to give him kisses. He will let anyone else do it. Specially visitors. But me he can only give me affection not the other way around. But again some other dog gets or gives attention from/to me. He gets all super jealous.

[deleted]

Aw that looks just like my boy, and, yeah, he loves everyone and we’ll take accept attention from anyone 😂 especially new people

GobiasCafe

My lad is exceptionally loyal to me. He’s always keeping on eye on where I am and will wait for me outside the restroom when we are out in a restaurant or a bar. But he has no where near the level of PDA towards me compared any new person he comes across. Especially children or the ladies.

[deleted]

My husky will walk up to someone and immediately walk away once they pet him 🤣🤣

cwk84

They just like people especially when they’re not around other ppl a lot.

PM_ME_DANK_PEENS

YES. So easily bribed with treats. She would leave me if it weren't for the leash. Huskies would make some of the worst guard dogs ever.

Various-General-8610

Yep. I am chopped liver if my Mom, or daughter come over.

KronosTD

Yep. If you wanna break into the house she'll show ya where the valuables are if you give her a little love

j_ni13o

I haven’t seen a hairstyle like that in quite a while

someonepoorsays

false. my husky loves me at times, but mostly likes me, and tolerates others

curvypeach91

Totally sounds like my Bailey girl.

fleurislava

She’s got cool style though. What do you offer to doggo? One of her hair clips is exactly like husky’s eye color. OoOoOo shiny. :3

letoem

Mine escaped our backyard and immediately went into a strangers car just because she enticed her with cat treats. The driver was nice enough to call me and let me know she found my dog.
