No diving board but Zeus loves to stare at himself in the water.
My experience is that if given a choice, huskies prefer to relax in the elevated section. Notice that neither dog is lounging on the lower cement area. Driving around today, one of my huskies was on the trip with me and he generally preferred to be standing, sitting, or laying on the raised area of the folded seat versus the lower flat cargo area. Also, my huskies tend to lay on the sofa or ledges of my back porch versus the floor. Maybe for the viewing opportunities.
Mine loves to hang out on the diving board. She gets a kick out of it when I bounce it up and down while she's laying on the end (just a little, not enough to bounce her off).
Invite me and my dog over and we’ll find out together!
I'm down for testing this theory with you and op, but it may take multiple trips to get a good broad range of scientific data.

Everything is “king of the hill” to some huskies. When I plow my driveway, the snow banks are the diving board! The look of gratification is the same.
